Saskia lives in the north of England, on the beautiful, windswept landscape of the Yorkshire moors, with her real life hero, Mark. Mark supports her work through all its ups and downs, and manages to keep her sane and grounded when fiction threatens to take over.
This was an okay step-brother story. Nothing wow, but not bad.
Rory (his dad) and Sky's (her mom) bohemian parent married each other, and not long after the wedding they left the country to live the bohemian lifestyle. Before they left Rory was told to stay away from his stepsister. Rory left for London. Sky moved in with her grandmother. A few years later she's moved to London and bumps into Rory. Rory was a hacker and is trying to leave that life, but there's someone from his past that doesn't want that to happen. While this is all transpiring Rory and Sky discover they're destined to be together.
These two are technically step siblings with bohemian or pagan parents. Sky was 15 when Rory was 18 possible when they all moved into the same house together. They both felt pulled to each other but his father would command his son away with fists and threats. When things go so bad he and his brother Sean and Sky’s brother Draco left and ever been seen again. Years later Sky is in London when she spots a familiar face in the train station and follows to see if her hunch is right. What she finds is her stepbrother and crush Watching his back and didn’t she her until she was right next to him.
These two’s connection was off the charts from the start even when they dealt with heartache, secrets and tough times with an enemy hovering around. Will they get their chance of exploring their longing for each other even with his past hovering for Rory’s special device?? Or will things get so bad that Rory will lose Sky after just finding her?.
For the first book in a series; this one packs a pretty big punch for depth, plot and character introduction. Usually the first in a series is all about back story, laying down ground-work for the up-coming books and introducing you to a couple of characters. This book does all that while simultaneously telling its own story too (not giving anything away here). A step-brother romance that is heavy on the sex but also examines the institution of family, life's complications, love, trust and tragedy. Overall, a nice erotic romance with a H.E.A. The characters will probably make an appearance in upcoming books of this series and now I've got to know a couple of them well - I look forward to reading book 2.
In a crowded train station in London they start to reconnect
Rory is the first book in the Coded For Love series. This is the first book I have read by Saskia Walker so I was curious to see if I liked the author's writing and storytelling styles, as you just never know when you try a "new to you" author. Well I am very happy that I did take a chance as the author has done a really good job with this book. The story is nicely paced, kept my interest and I loved the characters. They both are well developed, have depth and emotion along with a complicated relationship as they try and figure things out.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Sky and Rory are steps and she had a crush on him for a long time. They cross paths in London and things get complicated quickly. Rory works in a shop owned by George, who has cats and a wolfhound. The characters are terrific and their feelings and emotions give them depth, like close friends. Stress and sorrow as George passes away, but his daughter and Rory come to an agreement, as she lives in Australia. So much happens between the characters, that you can not put the book down. The ending is truly wonderful and ties it all together.

Nothing but trouble. What a great book. Rory is trying to escape his past, it seems to be following him. He doesn’t know if he should trust that Sky just happen to show up unexpectedly. Is she working with those goons that are after him? Sky came to the city hoping to find Rory but, she had no way to find him. Can she really stay out of the way and let him handle things? We will see. Order an expresso and take a seat.

The reason for the 4 stars instead if 5 is because of 2 things. One there were quite a few typos amd spelling errors. I didn't like getting into a scene then would have to reread the sentence a few times because of an error. It killed the mood. Second is it wasn't that taboo like you would think a stepbrother romance would be. After all that it was still pretty good. The sexy scenes were hot nothing to hot tho. I did love the way the characters interacted with one another. I'm excited to read the next book in the series to see if its even better.
Rory and Sky have a brief but magnetic past that leads them to each other years later when they've done some growing up. Sky is soon thrust into a dangerous world and if that plot wasnt enough the author throws in some family drama and a heart wrenching tragedy I still dont quite understand needed to be there. If you appreciate twisted, complicated backstory with your steamy books, this one delivers.

Read and find out! Loved this book, thought there be a little more action due to the hacking aspect from Rory but think author did a good amount. Sky does initially come across as immature but it was lovely seeing her grow and develop through the book, Rory and Sky definitely had stuff to work from their pasts, can they go the distance...?

I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

I really enjoyed this book by Saskia Walker. It was a sweet romance that included a little bit of action, loss and intrigue. The characters were well-rounded and the plot was interesting. Can’t wait to read the next in series.
