I was hoping for better. I've got a couple of chapters to go but if this first installment of the NASSD is anything to go by, I won't be getting much out of the second one and won't be holding my breath for the third.
The villains are bumbling amateurs and the protagonists are, well...in this odd role reversal when it comes to sex. I love sexually-secure heroines but JT is wanting to jump Dan's bones every time I'm privy to her thoughts (which is like every other paragraph) even though she believed him to be the mole in their covert agency and when they're on the run after she realizes he isn't. Usually, it's the heroine who (tersely or primly) reminds the horny hero "now isn't the time" for wild, monkey sex but in this book, it's the hero who tells the heroine that. And in that scolding tone, too. Man, was I put in my place, red-faced. :P
And Dan, he's okay except for his behaving more like a puritanical virgin when it comes to his sexual feelings. He's torn with guilt for wanting to screw the agent he suspects is a traitor. Nothing much to say about the action/suspense plot as it's all very predictable right from the get-go.
I'll still read the second installment and hope it's better.

This book was so amazing and such a powerful action packed adventure of love, betrayal and the fight to save the world from those wanting to cause harm to others.
Loved the characters JT is awesome and I love her to bits her sense of humour, her fight to prove herself as she stumbles her way in the word of TREX and her quest to prove herself as a great Agent. Dan is such a older rougher model agent and used to the world as a spy till the lovely JT get's his attention then sparks fly as they try and work together to stop the enemies of the world and fight their growing attraction when their lives depending on each other.
Amazing story fabulous background scenes and has some great supporting characters I can't wait to read the next book and had me hooked from the very beginning, and a absolutely must read !!!!!

Nobody does action like Allie K. If you want to be taken on a sizzling, edge of your seat roller coaster ride, look know further. Allie's NASSD series has it all--hot heroes, sexy kick butt heroines, and can't-put-down-suspense.

Another wonderfully entertaining book in the TREX series.
JT and Dan are so well written that they seem to have defined personalities that make reading the book very enjoyable. The interactions between characters and plot are wonderfully inventive and the re-visit to characters from previous books was great. A truly in-depth look into the history that makes Dan Weber the agent he is.
Best part – the mistakes that are made which luckily lead JT to the places she needs to be.
Worst pat – the descriptive writing that makes the hurts felt by the characters transferable to the reader – I cringed in places…

Very good. I would say best of the Trex series so far. killing a main character though was sad and seemed like it could use more in other words press write another story about Steve! This story however is well written and full of suspense! looking forward to reading more.

When Dan was called and told that LEON was still out there and they had to find it and keep it out of their enemy’s hands. At Any Cost is Book 2 (second full length book) in Allies K. Adams TREX Series. I really love this exciting series. It's chock full of action at every turn. What a totally awesome wild ride this book was.
Brought out of a self-induced retirement, TREX Spec Ops Special Agent Dan Weber is tossed into a partnership with rookie Agent JT Turner. Now JT is a real looker, more like a runway model than a TREX agent. She is also a walking talking disaster area. Tripping and falling at every turn and never a day goes by she doesn't get shot. But Turner is one hell-of-a-TREX agent. When she and Weber go down to Columbia to stop a madman from unleashing the worlds worst weapon...what ensues is the most amazing roller coaster ride of your life. There's not only tons of action-packed excitement...but, guns blasting, fists flying, knife stabbing, bullet dodging, and steamy hot sex having time going on!! Just when I think the TREX book I'm presently reading is the best of all...Allie Adams has yet another great story to tell even better than the last!
I really loved this hot couple Dan & JT. Allie also throws in loads of humor in her books, which make for a wonderful combination of laughs and action! I'm off now to read the next book in this fantastic romantic suspense series!!

Book 3, "At Any Cost", takes us into the life of Dan Weber, Spencer's boss, after some time has passed from book 2. Crazy science experiment turned much-sought weapon, LEON could destroy life as we know it. Dan and JT ( a recruit not quite finished with her training ) are faced with dangers that neither could have imagined. There are traitors, columbium drug lords, mad scientists, and more in this very satisfying novel. You'll find another epic love story, heart-wrenching losses, and spine-tingling suspense in this full length novel. This series is ongoing and must-read,and on my list of great books! I look forward to reading more from Allie K Adams.

This series keeps getting better. 'At Any Cost' had me glued to the pages from the beginning until the end. The storyline was extremely thrilling, full of action, mystery and some great hot and steamy romance. I loved Dan and J.T.'s story. Both are awesome leads with kick-ass skills. J.T. was hilarious at times. Sarcastic, witty and clumsy as hell. I loved how this story played out. The characters were great. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. A must add to your tbr list. Definitely recommended.

I began reading this series from book 1, looking forward to the series and the concept behind the TREX agents. The storyline is there. The characters are bigger than life and fit the TREX concept. I like the TREX characters and how they are woven in and out of the entire series.
Unfortunately that's where my enjoyment ended. The story completely got lost in the constant crude explicit sex scenes. I left my rating at three because the story would have been great if there had been less explicit sex and more focus on the story.

This was a very exciting book with tons of action, mystery, & hot loving. Literally, there was jungle sex!!! Awesome. I highly recommend this series. I am excited & eager to begin book 4
