Rate this book
Elizabeth Wakefield has a confession to make. She's met a guy--an intelligent, caring, and unbelievably handsome guy. But it's not Todd Wilkins, her longtime boyfriend, whom she loves more than anybody. It's Sam. Elizabeth wouldn't even need to change her initials. Mrs. Elizabeth Woodruff. She's fallen hard. But no one can know about Elizabeth and Sam, especially not Jessica. She could never keep a secret this big. And if Todd ever finds out, it'll break his heart.

Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.

Used to read this over and over from the ages of about 8 -14 and I still really enjoy it. I don't really love the Sam and Elizabeth relationship, especially once I'd read more of the books but I still really enjoy this book. I think it got me hooked on SVH -- 😄😧💖

Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Elizabeth. Let's just say she really messes up in this book. She helps her sister out. but...trouble big time.

I learned that you should never cheat on a guy because it will be really stressing if you do. Anyway it was a really good book and I think you should read it.

I am so disappointed with this book. Given that Liz was the twin with more morals and conscience, i was waiting for her to really get what she deserved - maybe for todd to find out and for her to REALLY feel what guilt felt like, not the dumb guilt she felt when she DIDNT even tell Todd!! Also the fact that this book seems to romanticize cheating - Liz's whole mindset of "its ok if i cheated, i forgive myself already" like girl it's not a simple mistake like cancelling on a date or something. I feel bad for Todd cause if the reverse happened, I'm pretty sure Liz would break up with him and probably even hate him. But todd never knew about Liz and Sam. All throughout the diary entries, Liz was so self centered and self-righteous! Like she would rant about Jessica and talk about how immoral she is - when she herself cheated and didn't tell anyone about it! Its obvious who the better twin is now.
