Life is peaceful and predictable in Fool’s Valley after Aangavar’s death. Of course, nothing lasts forever. When Hal and Laurel receive an invitation to attend the Harvest Tournament from Maxim Cedric, they’re forced to leave their routine life behind and make the journey to Meldence, the capital of the realm.
The city’s intrigue spares no one. Hal Is forced to play the role of Laurel’s servant and bodyguard as she reacquaints herself with the Meldence court. The homestead, itself, becomes the target of another jealous noble, and the only reasonable way for Hal to resolve the situation, is, of course…
To enter the Harvest Tournament as a competitor.
WARNING: This is an erotic fantasy novel. It contains a significant amount of explicit sexual content and some adult emotional situations. Reader discretion is advised.
Hey, I'm Edmund Hughes. I like to write fantasy novels with strong erotic themes, gratuitous amounts of sex and violence, and offensive humor. If that's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place.
The worldbuilding continues to weave an interesting setting while all the major characters reveal a bit more of their personal stories. It is enjoyable to see how the author has woven all the characters together in an entertaining fashion. There is more about magic, elves, and dragons. The more he reveals, the more questions that seem to crop up. I put off reading this series due to the sex in the name, but have found it to be a very worthwhile series and would recommend it for those who want a good fantasy story, as long as you don't mind a bit of sex fan service.
Book one was good, and this book expands on everything that was, in order to give you more of what is. The plot is better, the characters more polished, the fighting more often, the magic mightier, the politics more intriguing, and the relationships more important. Recommended.
This was a bit slow at first but it definitely picks up. There is plenty of action and twists. Some are expected and others, not so much. Very good book and I am looking forward to reading the next book.
I liked this one quite well, it holds up to the original and progresses the story in an interesting manner and is a good and unique read, fully recommended.
This second instalment is a good fast moving read, it intoduces you to more of Hals new world. I love the disparate female characters in this story and Hals interaction with them. The story is getting darker and more convoluted which makes it more gripping and hooks you on the next book, very well written.
Edmund Hughes has created a remarkably good fantasy world. I’m excited to see where the story is going to go from here. Dragon’s, Magic, intrigue, politics. More please.
