I bought this book to refresh my memory on things I have not learned since 6th grade English. It is truly terrible how teachers do not teach English grammar and writing anymore. They just assign assignments and say, "go work on your Chromebook". My 6th grade English teacher broke down words and sentences. She taught how to develop correct sentences. She demonstrated with examples and had us practice what she taught us. I found this book to be perfect for what I needed.

I bought this on Amazon for studying. This is my voluntary review.

The first few chapters are really good grammar crash course for the forgotten soul like me.

The books style of dealing with specific types of writings in individual chapters was very appealing.

I would love to use this book as a reference manual.
