Just incredible action pack book SET & such imagination in the writing. Mild romance, but who has time in this story? Trust me, you'll be out of breath when you finish this one.
You’ll find some very Feisty, defiant, smart, beautiful & very sexy female’s in this books set - & some very domineering Alpha that are sexy as hell males, & some very hot steamy scenes… if for any reason you can't handle any of this please stand clear of this book set

I'm gonna be the minority here and say that I just didn't get into this series. The males were all big softies despite being labeled barbarians. Which was such a let down. Yeah, they were brutal and enjoyed fighting, but it just didn't outweigh how innately good they all were. As for the human women, not one of them did anything to make me like them much. I also really hated how every single one of them got pregnant after the first time sleeping with the guy.

This was okay. It started out really quite good, but then just sort of petered out. Lisa is a scientist that finds herself being auctioned off like an animal to a bunch of aliens. She ends up being saved from a creepy toad like dude when a hulking red guy that everyone is afraid of kills him and buys her. Zon didn’t come to that planet intending to buy a pet, but as soon as he saw Lisa's picture he knew he had to have her. I was pretty excited when we find out that Zon is warlord, so it was disappointing how kind, polite, and nice he was to Lisa. And right from the start no less. Come on, be a hot fierce male! There are some fights, and too much talk about feelings. More could have been done with the enemies instead of focusing on Lisa's insecurities. And the end with about her brother was just so cheesy. Though I do kind of like the whole humans being a myth thing.

This one was a little better than the last. There’s some good fighting and new worlds to discover. It takes place some years after and Tom is all grown up and taking on dangerous missions. But apparently he’s not too proud to use his father’s name and reputation in order to get or do something. Tom is just like Zon in so many ways so nothing much new there. I didn't really care much for Sara, she just did too many stupid things that made me want to smack her. She is a human that has been hiding within the military. She meets Tom after she crash lands on a planet and they take her as a goddess. Which really just means that she’s the prize to the last guy standing after a giant death match. Tom knew she was his starmate as soon as he saw her, so he knew he had to win. Obviously he does and Sara gets carried off and he asks her help for his mission. Another ship of humans has been found and Tom has to be the first to get to them and take them to a sanctuary Zon is setting up for humans. Along the way, Tom and Sara get closer but they eventually end up fighting. Their trust in each other is strained when confronted with secrets and enemies plant doubt into each of their minds. But in the end they find their way back to each other and Tom gets the happy relationship he's always desired after seeing his parents all those years.

This wasn’t too bad. Though I can do without authors pandering to be PC by throwing gay people into their stories randomly. So Zon's sanctuary has been around for a bit by this point with him protecting any humans he can find there. But they are allowed to leave with a little less fear now. Erica and her cousin do so by becoming paramedics. Erica was an okay character for the most part, only annoying me occasionally. Betrayed by the person in charge of her mission, she finds herself being sold off as part of a bride program. Ronan was also an okay character and I did like him more than Erica. He was pretty excited when he was contacted that a bride was ready for him, but Erica was nothing like he requested. At first he's not happy about that, but she quickly grows on him. Despite being livid about what happened to her, Erica also finds herself drawn to Ronan. Ronan has promised her that he would rescue her cousin and during that he is mortally wounded while Erica is taken. Months later they fight to be free and find their happy ending together.

I think maybe this one was just too short to be very exciting. It was okay, but that’s about it for me. The human this time was Vanessa, and while she wasn't annoying per se, her hangups on marriage and sex were. She gets kidnapped during some ceremony she volunteered for by Taliga and another T`shav. Taliga is actually what most people believe his kind are, a mercenary. But apparently he’s one that has some morals. I did like how a past betrayal shaped him here because this time he’s not immediately wanting the female when he just knows she’s his starmate the first time he lays eyes on her. When it comes out that Vanessa is to be sold to crazy zealots who think all the humans Zon protects are fake and therefore must be sacrificed, Taliga has to make a choice. He makes it, and from there the two of them have to figure out ways to stay alive when they keep finding themselves in dangerous situations. The almost end was pretty good with the fighting and with who shows up, though not necessarily to originally help. Then there was the end…is every single chick in this series going to end up pregnant the first time they sleep with the guy?

This one was pretty good. It was interesting where this one happened and I liked how most everything went down. Bianca was kidnapped from a farming village and sold to a gladiator arena. Gylden was sold to the arena when he was a child after both of his parents died, so this life is practically all he’s known. Even though he’s a slave, they are given the opportunity to fight for their freedom. Though, freedom isn’t quite right. He would still belong to the arena, but instead of being forced to fight and kill, he would instead become a trainer. But this time, the fight is going to be harder. Each of the men are given a women to be their slave, but the catch is that they must both survive the fight for either of them to be free. Gylden chooses Bianca as his woman, but like all the main T'shav we've read about so far, he won’t force himself on her. Their fight for freedom isn’t an easy one but they do get closer to each other along the way. I will say that each of their escapes seemed way too easy to me. But I guess I shouldn’t expect too much more from such a short story. The ending was pretty good except I would have really liked to know what Lisa's idea was for Gylden to help put an end to the arena fighting. Oh, and big shocker, Bianca got pregnant after the first time they had sex as well.

This one had an interesting story and was quite good until the end. At that point it became corny in its goody goody everything. There was much eye rolling going on. Veronica is the human this time and she was nothing special, just a pretty normal girl. We start with her being woken up from stasis by bad aliens who are going to sell her. Instead, Chapec and his sister show up to save the day. Only it’s not out of the goodness of their hearts. What I liked was that this story was tied to the last in that their father was killed by Gylden in the arena, and they have vowed revenge. To that end, they have come up with a plan for Chapec to woo a human and use them in order to get into Zon`s Sanctuary. Veronica is the lucky girl. What Chapec never counted on was falling for her. As for Veronica, it was easy for her to fall for him while he helps her come to terms with her new life. That is until they arrive at the sanctuary and all of the betrayals come out. Things escalate very quickly and before she knows what’s happened, Veronica is being used by Chapec once again. I liked how she held out against her desires to forgive him…until she didn’t. Then we get tons of kumbaya and shit between everybody. Including Gylden.

This story probably would have been okay if not for the fact that I didn't really like Jada or Sildon. Actually, I couldn't stand Jada. Her actions were often ridiculous and stupid. As for Sildon, I get why he did what he did and all that, but it could have been done in such an easier way. Any number of times, if he had just told the truth, I’m sure he could have found help instead of having to become a criminal to get where he wanted to go. Jada is a human living in Zon`s Sanctuary who has set up a dating agency. That’s where she comes across Sildon`s application and decides to hook up with him herself. She never expected to be kidnapped and taken for ransom. Sildon is on his own sort of mission to find his father and learn why he abandoned his mother and himself. But to do that, he needs money. This kidnapping is his genius plan. Nothing goes as he expects and, before he knows it, he not only has to take care of this human woman but also a baby when she refuses to leave it to its terrible fate. At some point, Jada starts defending Sildon and they get into deeper trouble with the sanctuary all while also fleeing from an evil corporation. Things don’t really go the way Sildon expected when he thinks he found out his father's name, and I was pretty pissed at who he was told. But it was thankfully not true. Unfortunately we still got a cheesy and dumb end. On the plus side, I did like getting more of the trio.

I did not read any of the bonus stories because I simply didn't want to. I did not enjoy these at all enough to want to waste time on more.

Short and sweet with some heat. The end actually made me tear up a little.

Book 2 - Caged by the Barbarian - 4 stars
Pretty good story. There was a bit more depth than the first one in the series but along with that depth came weird unneeded conflict between the two main characters.

Book 3 - Bought by the Barbarian - 4 stars
Kidnapped multiple times, arguing with the hot guy who bought her, falling in love. This book was pretty fun.

Book 4 - Kidnapped by the Barbarian - 4 stars
A sweet and drama filled ride. Fall for your kidnapper? Get married to avoid being sacrificed? Maybe she will and may even she'll get a happy ending ending if she does.

Book 5 - Given to the Barbarian - 5 stars
I really like this book. A bit distopian with supposedly civilized people watching gladiators fight to the death on television, love wins for our main characters though.

Book 6 - Rescued by the Barbarian - 5 stars
Forgiveness is the main theme of this story and it's still a romance and an enjoyable read.

Book 7 - Captured by the Barbarian - 4 stars
There are a couple of things I would change if I could but I enjoyed the story.

This is a wonderful, intriguing collection of Barbarian stories and I absolutely & thoroughly enjoyed reading each and everyone of them. What you will find in the Barbarian Legacy Complete Series is: alpha male aliens, strong feisty human women, drama, intrigue, twists & turns, suspense, action, adventure, violence, abductions, murder, lust, love and erotic scenes. The characters in the various stories are well developed and entwine well with each other with regards to the situation they find themselves in and react with fears, doubts, needs and desires. The story-lines are well thought out and written, and each story is complete with a HEA. I really recommend this book, I doubt that you would be disappointed.

I enjoyed the first two books, but by the end of the last book I lost interest. Abella Ward has done a good job of consistent world-building, and links the books together fairly seamlessly, but to me the stories are all too similar to one another, and the characters, especially the T'Shav males, all seem the same. I think this is one box set that I'd enjoy more if I hadn't read the series one right after another. However, If you're really into big red hunky aliens with swords and raging hormones, the feisty human women who love them, and their cute little red babies, you're certain to love these steamy action-filled love stories. And if you are a KU subscriber you can read them for free - so go for it.

Great box set!

Read straight through to the last story and enjoyed everyone. Sci-fi romance is my favorite genre and in this set the aliens weren't human looking. This makes the story for me more believable. One note to the author.....if the aliens hero is red as in Devil Red, the dude on the front cover should be. If you think the skin color is a problematic to sales....it is Sci-fi romance. I'm thinking your readers will be more welcoming of something different. I highly recommend this book. SQ

Each and every one of the books in Barbarian Legacy are wonderfully steamy stories that had me hooked from the beginning to the end of the series. They are quick and easy reads, action-packed with adventure, drama, suspense, passion and some romance. Barbarian Legacy is an entertaining must have collection that is really worth your time. One-click for an outstanding reading experience.

If you like your Si-Fi with your romance you'll love this box set. Set in the future where the Earth is a baron land and the ladies are from the past when Earth was still lush and green. The Alien men are big and brave and ready to raise the passion in their women and keep them safe all at the same times. While saving their women the save the rest of the human race as well. Great collection of stories that you won't want to put down, Enjoy.

If you enjoy sci-fi romance, this is a great series of books to read. It has some great stories full of action, adventure and romance.

The men are aliens who are strong alphas and the women they meet take them by surprise as they expect to be treated as equals. I would encourage you to read them in order as the books are based on the first story.

Barbarian Legacy.

A lot of stories that kept you on edge wondering what would happen next. Each book flowed evenly and kept the context interesting. The intrigue was worth the reading and waiting to see what happens next. Highly recommend this series to those who like this genre.

I absolutely loved this series. I had already read a few and a few were new to me, but they are all great reads with great stories and wonderful characters. All are stand-alone, so if you only have time for one every now and again, you won't have to go back and catch up to enjoy the next.
