Hello friends, and Merry Christmas! Our book today is the Sesame Street Christmas Treasury from Sesame Workshop, a delightful collection for your little fan.

Featuring 29 songs, stories, poems, and more, this collection brings together years of classic Sesame Street holiday stories – from the time Bird Bird visited Santa’s workshop, Oscar’s very grouchy Christmas, Cookie Monster’s Christmas cookies, and of course, Sesame’s version of the Night Before Christmas, and much more.

JJ is a MASSIVE fan of Sesame Street, so we knew this one was going to be a hit, and we were right! But objectively, this is a pretty wonderful little treasury for the holiday, whether your little one is Elmo-obsessed or not. It includes stories about Santa, family, snow, community, togetherness, holiday celebrations, all of which are enhanced by the characters being our old familiar friends from Sesame Street. I also loved that there were some older stories – even some as far back as my own Sesame Street days – included in the treasury. It gives the book a sense of nostalgia while highlighting how truly timeless both the classic holiday stories and Sesame Street are. This was wonderful, was a real joy for a mega-fan like JJ, and is something we can look forward to enjoying at Christmastime for years to come. Highly recommended, and Baby Bookworm approved!

This would be almost perfect except the first two stories are so similar, there are far too many renditions of a Sesame Street themed "Night Before Christmas", and the Count’s 12 Days of Christmas have some very glaring typos.

This needs to be reprinted, and edited a whole lot better.
