Ambition, secrets, and love combine in this sweet historical romance.
Bridgette fancies herself Queen of Montana but is waiting for her king to arrive. She's smart and has plans to be involved in the business and government of Montana. How that is to come about is another problem. An outlaw, bounty, and the judge's offer to lend her law books opens a door for her. Perhaps the duke's nephew is another.
Sterling Merritt cares little for his uncle or his title. But loves the land of Montana. And then he meets Bridgette. He wants to be a gentleman rancher but may have to go against his uncle which will cost him everything. With nothing to his name, he fears losing Bridgette.
Bridgette (Montana Bride’s of Solomon’s Valley Book 4)
Another great read. Bridgette has a mind of her own, knows what she wants and how to get it! Although a beautiful woman used to having many followers she has a tender heart and tries her best to make life easier on her fellow countrymen. She has a quick mind and will scheme her way to success. Shirleyville, Montana will never be the same again now that Bridgette is studying law and using bounty hunter tactics!
While my title states headstrong, women in those days had to be I think as this book aptly portrayed. I enjoyed reading it very much, I had "met" the characters before in another of this authors books without knowing I had read it until I started reading this one and recognized several characters.
I absolutely loved this book! Bridgette is a great main character. I never know what to expect next! The plot developed in this love story of Bridgette and Sterling made me laugh so many times. A greater feel-good story. Looking forward to Sarah's story.
I have loved this series and the recurring characters increase the enjoyment. Their is always suspense in this series and Bridgette does not fail and leaves with the promise that there's more to be heard from her. Very good read.
Delightful western story set in Montana in a tiny town. The nephew of a English Duke arrives in town to buy up land for him. He meets a young lady, discovers how smart she is and they marry. Many twists and turns.
This is a good short novel. I think this book can be a stand alone novel, but as this is book 4 in a series, I think there is quite a bit of back story that I don't know. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book.
Sterling and Bridgette met and fell in love, He wanted to be a Farmer, She wanted to be a Lawyer. Both got their wishes and got married. Thank you Patricia PacJac Carroll..
