Well I can certainly say this is unlike any other self-help or business advice book I have ever read before. Christy Whitman is a New York Times Bestselling author and motivational speaker who went from living in an “ant-infested” apartment to running her own business and making over $100,000 a year.
I love these types of motivational books because I think, deep down, we all want to know what it is that separates well-paid CEOs like Bill Gates or Elon Musk from normal Joes and Janes like ourselves. However, the difference between Whitman's book and others is that she uses what she calls “non-physical forces” to ensure success. She lists these forces as “polarity, clarity, alignment, resonance, momentum, and magnetism.” The types of forces that make up the universe and everything we see and experience every day.
In the book, Whitman describes us as being at one with the universe and at one with an ocean of consciousness that contains everything. She calls her method of success 'deliberate creation.' I greatly enjoyed this because it implies that you have to want to change your life in order to make it work. No one achieves anything by sitting around and hoping that change will come.
Whitman uses ancient teachings and mysticism to affect and influence the business world and her career. It's fascinating and worth a read even if you don't particularly believe in what she's talking about. I feel like I came out of this book with a much more open mind then I had when I started reading it. I would certainly recommend this helpful book to anyone looking to make a name for themselves in their industry (as the principals she uses can apply to any industry) or anyone interested in a good read about the power of positive thinking.

This book reeks of white privilege; the target audience is clear.

Whitman writes whatever happens in our lives is because our thoughts/actions have brought it about, i.e., it's our own fault/to our own credit. I doubt she had people of color in mind as she wrote this. Did they choose slavery, lack of generational wealth, evictions, etc.?

She often mentions we know exactly what we want from the moment we are born, even if it is subconscious. That's utter BS. It's an easy cop out to say people KNOW something, "even if only subconsciously". If we don't know we know, it's the same as not knowing.

She also mentioned one big idea for a subscription meditation service (or something along those lines) only received one member sign up—and she "realized" it was because she was doing what she thought she "should" do instead of following her gut/instinct/intuition. Why not admit it simply wasn't a service people were interested in? But no, the universe and its vibrations must teaching you a lesson in intuition, sure.

Finally, that chaplain and kidney story was ridiculous. Rich, white people believe the strangest things.

I wish I could enjoy self-help/motivational books more, but they're too often tone deaf. While I certainly believe we have the power to change our thinking and we can, at times, rise above our situations, it's frustrating when these books are written with only one type of person in mind.

Positive notes to remember:
-We can change the "channel" of our mood/thinking
-When we dislike people, we tend to focus on their flaws; at any time, however, we can choose to focus on their positive qualities and view them in a new light

If you want to success in your career, there are lots of books out there to help. Some are more helpful than others, so how do you choose? First, I don’t think that any one book has all of the answers. Also, some books work well for some but not for others. It’s a good idea to read 3 or more.

One I can certainly recommend is ‘Quantum Success’ by Christy Whitman. She uses the “law of attraction” in her method. It has been used before but not quite like Ms. Whitman uses it. She gives you a fresh take on the concept. She also provides a road map with fun exercises for you to complete and real life examples.

I know lots of people who read self-help book after self-help books about how to success in business. However, just reading these types of books doesn’t work. You really need to invest the time to work through the exercises. Sometimes it helps to read the same book over and over and do the exercises again. Once you do the work and make a plan, you can always tweak it. You are planning for the rest of your life so you owe it to yourself to invest in the time, up front.
I love Christy Whitman’s fresh approach and give ‘Quantum Success’ 5 out of 5 stars.

I found this book completely fascinating. What really struck me is that much of this book aligns with the teachings of yoga philosophy. The sections on the law of abundance, how our thoughts create our reality - really resonate with me. I love that the author includes some meditations and exercises that can be incorporated into my own practices. Following the path of reaching my highest potential is important to me, and this book helps reinforce what I have learned along my yoga journey. The book has inspired me to create even more abundance in my life. One of my favorite quotes in the book: "What all great visionaries have in common is a willingness to reach beyond the status quo and to look past their own limitations." This is something I like to encourage in my yoga students - looking past their conditioning and perceived limitations. So much of what we experience in life begins with our own thoughts, limitations, and conditioning. Christy Whitman is a divine guide who helps guide us all to reach beyond all of that and fulfill our potential. Awesome read!

By now, we have read countless books about, or related to, the Law of Attraction (LOA). Quantum Success: 7 Essential Laws for a Thriving, Joyful, and Prosperous Relationship with Work and by Christy Whitman is how a New York Times best selling author (multiple times) addresses the Law of Attraction.

One question people may have about the Law of Attraction is why is a pair of Christian bloggers talking about such things as The Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction is primarily about mindset and believing the desired outcome is taking place, and then seeing the desired outcome happen.

The New International Version of the Holy Bible reads as follows:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:24

There are countless other examples in the Bible where we are told that believing will make it so. To the best of my understanding, The Law of Attraction is not contrary to Biblical teachings (David).

We give Quantum Success all five stars. We think it is a readable book with many examples from previous authors and think you will enjoy it.

We were sent a complimentary copy of this book. We are under no obligation to write any review, positive or negative.

the first section got me really excited - it lifted a rough patch for me. But then it felt like it ended before I got what I needed. I read it again...and still I feel a bit let down.

"However these thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions show up for you, it's imperative that you begin to recognize them for what they really are. They are not the truth, but you will make them your truth if you continue to affirm them."

"Finding ourselves smack-dab in the middle of one of life's ebbs when we desperately wanted or needed the flow can activate our lowest thoughts and darkest beliefs about ourselves and life....in a state of self-recrimination we are blinded to resources, opportunities, and solutions that may be right in front of us and unable to reap the benefit of our own actions."

"Once the pain..subsides your mind will once again want to travel down the well-worn paths of self-loathing and shame. Whenever you find yourself thinking a self-loathing thought immediately interrupt that thought and simply say no" [and imagine yourself in the future you want for yourself]

"From where you are standing right now what do you see that you most want to give and receive?
How do you want to show up in relation to the work you do and the people you serve?
What type of work environment do you most enjoy because it brings out the best in you?"
[then break down into images from these answers]

"What would my ideal outcome look like? And how would it feel to have already attained it? Or what unique insights have equipped me perfectly to succeed in this event?"

"Your experience of reality changes as your perceptions change."

"In reacting to the chaos around you, you may find yourself putting out fires or trying to keep the peace instead of tending to the realization of your own goals and desires."

"What you actively appreciate increases in value over time."

"'Should's for me are always an indication that we are holding onto lack and limitation. When we should on ourselves we limit our options and we are deciding something based on someone's idea of what our lives are supposed to be like instead of what we would actually love and feel good about."

"Are there certain elements of the role that I feel I've outgrown or am I less passionate about them than I used to be? Are there meetings, affiliations, or other commitments that I regularly give my attention and energy to that would be better invested in other ways? What aspects of your business or career are in need of pruning? (think in terms of weekly schedule as well as monthly and annual commitments) What outdated systems methods do I currently use and what benefit might I receive by revamping these? What resources could you draw from in upgrading this part of your business? Who might you ask to serve as a mentor for you in this area?"

"What do I want? Why do I want it? What will I feel having it? What do I need to release in order to have it?...what are the 6 things I need to do tomorrow...to bring myself closer to this goal?"

Law of Attraction enthusiasts will enjoy Quantum Success. Christy Whitman guides readers to manifest more abundance in their careers through a variety of meditations, exercises, and thoughtful questions. Each chapter offers insight on how we can improve our thinking and feelings, as well as the various laws that impact how we create abundance. Our emotions play a critical role, and this book shows you how to harness your innate power to turn thoughts into reality. The exercises and meditations are accessible to anyone. I enjoyed the Career Alignment Checklist exercise and thought it was a great way to evaluate where you're at and get crystal clear on where you want to go. I appreciated the reminders to be intentional with emotions and thoughts to better align with dreams and goals.

I received an e-copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I cannot attest to the efficacy of methods recommended in this book, because I just started to find out about this aspect of life. As a person who is coming from materialistic background, I am sceptical, but willing to invest all my might to try (I'm out of options). I have been looking for good employment for a few decades now.

Even if I'm not more successful in looking for a job, this book still boosts my self-esteem, and builds good interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills. I enjoyed reading it, and believe that it is very beneficial to anybody who is exploring employment market.

Appearance: I’ve received the galley copy of the book, it’s very smooth and light in my hand, with a nice cover design.

Content: I have read multiple different books on the same subject, but each book teaches you a different point of view and gives you a new vision of how to look at your world or what to expect in your future.

In Quantum Success, the author is talking about, how powerful you are, she opens your mind and asking you to believe in yourself to go way beyond your expectations.

She is explaining the importance of conceiving a vision (goal) and visualizing how you would feel to have accomplished your goal. She also explained about her experience of a great feeling which encouraged her to achieve what she wanted.

By reading Quantum Success, you’ll find out in order to create a future you’ll need to focus on it and you must have a SMART goal setting, which has 5 steps (characteristics): Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound. she also explains each step and helps you to set your SMART goal, as she made examples of her own experience.

There is a story about Mary (author friend) on page 17 which I really didn’t care about until the end of the 3rd page of the story where a chaplain came to her room to pray for her since she was going to have a risky surgery on the next day, she talked about “the power of knowing” and said: … you already know this—in fact, EVERYONE knows this and almost NO ONE knows the POWER of knowing this.
It was a spiritual awareness to Mary who was totally hopeless about her future life and who already knew “everything created twice” but she was not able to think about it due to all those negativity in her mind and disappointment of her future life. (Don’t skip this story)

I am an optimistic and energetic person and many years ago have learned to think positive and be optimistic even in the worst situations and just spread positive energy with others and I have experienced it’s super awesome consequences each time, but this book took me to the next level of optimism and positivity.

Quantum Success is a spiritual, inspiring, and motivational book for young, entrepreneurs, adults and even people who are hopeless and disappointed like when myself or Mary used to be.

The author also has an easy to understand definition and solution for obstacles and setbacks: as she explained, the obstacle that stands in our way is not a money or time problem but thinking problem which can be solved by applying The Law of Deliberate Creation and each setback that we go through will give us a clarity of new direction that we want to take.

Which chapter is the most interesting to me? in my opinion, all 7 laws that the author is teaching in this book are all the same and I really couldn’t pick one as my favorite or interesting chapter, but maybe “Emotional Chanel-Surfing” in chapter 3 where the author is talking about the idea that different emotions transmit different frequencies of vibration is the most interesting part to me.

Right now, there are actually thousands of possible futures that you could live into—in your career expression and in all other aspects of your life and don’t forget what you focus upon, you create a relationship with.

and since The energy of appreciation is one of the most attractive in all the universe, I would like to appreciate Christy Whitman the author of Quantum Success and Natalia Vargas-Caba, Publicity Assistant at Simon and Schuster for providing me a copy of this book in exchange of an honest and unbiased feedback. http://3ee.info/quantum-success-book-...

I had been meaning to read this for a while after listening to Christy Whitman on James Wedmore's podcast. It took me a bit to read it, even though it was short, but I'm glad I finished it and there are definitely a few gems I'll take with me. I liked that while Christy didn't really come up with any of the concepts herself, she explained them in a way that had been helpful to herself in her journey. In particular, her three-step process around "imagine, connect, and expect" and "feeling forward" are really helpful. This quote also really resonated with me: "'Should’ for me are an indication that we are holding on to lack and limitation. When we ‘should’ on ourselves, we limit our options, and we are deciding something based on someone else’s idea of what our lives are supposed to be like, instead of what we would actually love and feel good about."

This has some good gems pulled from various other self help/manifestation works that Christy explains in a clear, concise way. I think I'll surprise myself in coming back to pieces from it over time.

The subject matter of this book is not new to me. The Secret and Law of Attraction books came before this one. That being said, I always enjoy another person's view on those principles. Each time I read a book of this nature, I become re-focused on ways in which I might shift my energy and vibration to a higher level. Thanks to the author for sharing her experiences and perspectives with me and her readers.

I love this book so much- I don't know why I set it down for so long but I'm glad I finally took the time to finish it! At first I thought the book would be very career-based, but honestly, Christy Whitman does an amazing job at discussing these topics in a way that can be applied to all aspects of your life. I probably underlined half the book because there were just so many good nuggets of info. People who are into LOA & success should definitely pick this book up!

I thought this book was really interesting, but it basically talked about manifesting the career/life/success you want without calling it manifestation. I liked the mindful approach and I do plan on incorporating the practices mentioned in my own routines to get a better idea of what I see future me doing and experiencing. As an audiobook, the organization was a bit funky but I’m sure that’s fixed by reading a hard copy.

I have long been a believer in the power and energy behind our thoughts. This book confirms those beliefs. Ms. Whitman provides powerful detailed evidence to support this theory. If you are looking for a book to guide you as you create your road map for channeling your thoughts, look no further. This is an excellent read.
