An excellent resource for families, early childhood educators, and after-school programs. The "Mindfulness Basics" section is well documented and well written. There is an abundance of mindfulness activities that follow which offer how-tos on on so many fun practices a one can build years of mindfulness practices that engage the whole child. The author assumes all their readers are familiar with yoga, requiring those who are not to go outside the book to research. Illustrations or detailed descriptions of these poses would make this a self-contained reference book.
An easy read and reference to give you some ideas on what mindfulness is. The activities are also suitable for adults. What I liked most were the sections on kindness and gratitude. The exercises recommended in there certainly helps us to be reminded of such things in our busy days.
