Turbo finds himself trapped—in a mousetrap—in the eighth Super Turbo book!
It’s just another typical night for the Superpet Superhero League as they make their rounds at Sunnyview Elementary. All seems quiet as Super Turbo walks the perimeter of the lunchroom, until he turns a corner and spies a tasty midnight snack! Just as he wraps his mighty paws around the treat— SLAM! —the hamster hero finds himself trapped in a mousetrap. But the evil Whiskerface and his Rat Pack have been escaping these traps for years! Could the key to Turbo’s freedom lie in the hands of his greatest foe?
With easy-to-read language, illustrations, and comic panels on almost every page, the Super Turbo chapter books are perfect for emerging readers!
Not gonna give this a rating cuz it's a children's book & I only read this cuz it was one of the very few books I could find that fit a very specific prompt for the Magical Readathon.
But can I just say that, as someone who works at a pet store, I hate the fact that Turbo the hamster is drawn in such a small cage. He deserves a much much bigger home, come on. (Same w/ the fish. Fish bowls should be prohibited everywhere in the world. Give your fish a worthy aquarium PLEASE)
I read this book for the 52 books in 52 weeks reading challenge. I used the 2019 reading challenge prompt read a speed read. "Turbo" is a speed word, and with it being part graphic novel/part beginning reader chaper book, i was able to finish it rather quickly. It is a cute story that teaches an important lesson about working together.
Super Turbo and Boss Bunny get caught in this delightful 8th book in this series. We continue to all enjoy the Superpet Superhero League's adventures in silliness. I think that Turbo is both funny and a good lesson for kids that your first impressions and worst fears aren't always true. Also, I enjoyed the new turn with Wiskerface and the rat pack that this book took. Highly recommend these books!
