About the author

Most people know me as half of the Piece O' Cake Designs team. With my partner, Linda Jenkins, we have written many quilt books. I am also a wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. I love my family and friends!

Travel is part of my life - for both work and pleasure. I travel and teach quilting nationally and internationally. It's great fun to meet new people and see new places! My husband, Steve, and I enjoy traveling together - hiking when we can.

With every day, I am more aware of the fact that each day is a gift to be embraced. I do my best to do that with a smile and open heart.

I really like the technique and description for applique illustrated by the authors in this book. I also like some of the projects in this book like Pennsylvania Pickle Dish, which has wedding ring design in strong colors on a dark blue background (featured on cover of book). These would be good skill building projects. One would have to buy the book (available from Amazon for $25) as the patterns are too big to copy from the library copy.

I resisted this book for a while, but I have an inherent need to acquire all of the Piece O' Cake series. This one, like the others, is brightly colored with excellent instructions. Plus, it's spinny.

fun to look at, a variety of 7 quilt projects with "circular motion." these would not be for the faint-hearted.
