William Richard Miller is an American clinical psychologist, an emeritus distinguished professor of psychology and psychiatry at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Miller and Stephen Rollnick are the co-founders of motivational interviewing.

This book is absolutely changing my view point on addiction and treatment options. Anyone who has been working in addiction treatment should read this book in order to stay current about the cutting edge research that is going on around the country.

The fact that it took me six months to get through this probably tells you what you need to know about how riveting it is. It was very informative though and I came away from it wishing that we, as a society, would put some of these research findings in to practice...
