A frank and witty tour of modern sexuality from a knowing young "sexpert" who's seen -- and done -- it all.
From her popular columns and website to her videos and lecture series, Tristan Taormino has garnered raves for her unabashed straight talk about sex. Now, for the first time in book form, she imparts wisdom gleaned from years of adventurous and informative sexual anthropology. As a sex educator, Tristan has listened to thousands of people's most intimate questions. In Pucker Up, she responds to those queries -- no matter how taboo -- giving honest, useful advice that doesn't shy away from sensitive topics.
All the basics are covered here, but Tristan also tackles such topics as strap-ons, female ejaculation, the latest sex toys, erotica and how it can improve your love life, and new strategies for hitting that elusive G-spot. Pucker Up is quite simply an indispensable book for anyone looking for healthy, adventuresome, mind-blowing sex.
Tristan Taormino is an award-winning writer, sex educator, speaker, filmmaker, and radio host. She is the editor of 25 anthologies and author of seven books, including her latest, The Feminist Porn Book, 50 Shades of Kink: An Introduction to BDSM, The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation, The Ultimate Guide to Kink: BDSM, Role Play and the Erotic Edge and Take Me There: Trans and Genderqueer Erotica, winner of a 2012 Lambda Literary Award. As the head of Smart Ass Productions, she has directed and produced twenty-four adult films. She is the producer and host of Sex Out Loud, a weekly radio show on the VoiceAmerica Network.
This wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
For some reason, I seem to remember a section that had something to do with blindfolded stuffed animals and wooden spoons (or am I making that up in my head?) and wooden spoons have some bad connotations for me.
I also seem to remember a section about using blown up balloons to practice one's whipping techniques (you're supposed to be able to snap your whip against the balloon without breaking it), but maybe I read that somewhere else.
Tristan Taormino also writes an ongoing column about anal sex for Taboo Magazine.
Based on stuff like that that, I thought 'Pucker Up' might be kinkier, but it's actually kind of introductory.
