Training the Brain: Cultivating Emotional Skills (Wired to Connect: Dialogues on Social Intelligence
Neuroscientist Richard Davidson explains how the brain's social and emotional circuitry becomes shaped to give each of us a unique "brain style" in reacting to hair trigger or slow to react, feeling strongly or weakly, recovering quickly or slowly. Davidson's research on meditators suggests we can take a more active role in reshaping our brains, and our emotional response, for the better.

Listened as an audiobook. Similar to a podcast where they’re having a literary discussion and talking about emotional intelligence. Felt kind of vague or repeating things I’ve already heard about how we can train our minds because of the neuroplasticity and can change our mindset. They mention and talk about results of studies but I honestly thought they were going to share ways of being able to train our minds besides learning to meditate.

It's a quick read, a nice conversation between Goleman and Davidson.

Good conversationalist style audio book, that summarises research to date on training the brain, and the impacts of negative emotions

It's a good conversation but a bit short - there can be more on this topic

I loved that it was a conversation. I was hoping they were going to talk about more personal ways to implement emotional intelligence. Overall great, quick and back by science.

Short audiobook conversation. Nothing much you don’t already know such as the benefits of meditation

Not terrible! Could have benefitted significantly with more elaboration on some sections.

This is a fairly "new" audio book as you can tell.
It gives you high level information on how different parts of brain interact when a person feels different emotions and points to the fact that there is always ways/skills which people can gain to tune their body/mind to response appropriately. This is why I like this book. However, the length of this CD(an hour!!!) and not detailed analysis ,are those things I am not happy about specially with its price.
