Kieran has been able to avoid meeting his stepbrother's notorious lover for six months, but the Butcher always gets what the Butcher wants. Forced to meet the man of his nightmares, he expects to get hell for being in love with Romulus... but he might just like it.
[Anticipation takes place 5 months after Spoiled. This can be read as a standalone erotic novella, but it does have major spoilers for... Spoiled.
Anticipation contains consensual mature content such as BDSM, edging, and MMM, Mac & Cheese.]
R. Phoenix has an unhealthy fascination with contrasts: light and dark, heroes and villains, order and chaos. She believes that love can corrupt and power can redeem. Her muse is a sadomasochistic slave driver who thinks it's terribly amusing to give her the best ideas when she just got comfortable and warm in bed, and she passes on that torture to her readers. She also tries entirely too hard to be funny, and she mercilessly inflicts her terrible sense of humor upon anyone who speaks to her. She'd love it if you'd say hello!
This was great, so hot. I might be a hypocrite with this one because I know I always say I don’t like MMM and I generally don’t, but there was something about this book that was so good.
I remember I was left intrigued by Romi and the Butcher’s relationship after reading Spoiled and I find this beyond what I could imagine, not only between them but also how things went for Kieran. Somehow the things were a little different for me this time around with these characters, I was feeling more fond on Romi the in Spoiled, but now it was Kieran’s reaction to everything that was going on and his emotions that got my attention. The Butcher also fill every expectation that I could have about him.
Maybe one of the reason I like this so much, even being MMM, was because the relationship between all of them never try to be anything it wasn’t. There wasn’t forced feelings involved. Everything felt natural and it hit the highest steam levels I’d read in a while. It was great, I had such a good time reading it.
This really should be read after Spoiled, but it could also stand on its own. I loved seeing one character’s reaction to being exposed to BDSM, and his realizations about himself as he was included.
I’m so glad we got this, but still can’t help but hope for more of the three of them.
Damn....This is a short follow up to Spoiled (which you should read first in my opinion)....Romi take Kieran to meet Abel and oh boy the three of them together is of the charts.....I love Romi and Kieran but add Abel to the mix and you have yourself a serious hot trio x
This was just perfect. I loved being able to see all the pieces come together like this. For the reader and the characters. This short story answers so many of my questions and puts the dynamic of their relationship s into perspective for me. It felt like a beginning of a whole new world for these guys and the finishing touch. Do I still have questions? Yes, but in a great, "I can't get enough of these guys" kinda way.
Toni and Kiernan light up the pages in this continuation of their story. We finally meet the Butcher and he far exceeds expectations, but in a surprising way. Let me just say that these three men certainly know how to put on a show. Oh yeah!!
This was only ok. Basically a long drawn out sex scene. Definitely hot. And then the book ends, so damn abruptly, I had to double check that I wasn’t missing some pages. Forget character and relationship development.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Some people have said this can be a standalone but I do feel you need to have read Spoiled first. This is basically an extended sex scene and while there are some spicy moments, I didn’t really connect with the characters as there was little or no development of them.
