I knew from the blurb this wasn't going to be Tolstoy or even Austen, but I thought it was going to be a frothy Chick Lit where there's banter, the heroine finds out the hero has made a bet, then makes him suffer. THEN HEA.

ABOUT THE REVIEW SYSTEM
I was wrong. After I skimmed and DNF'd, I checked the 5 star rhapsodic, orgasmic reviews. At least 8 out of 12 of the 5 star reviews were ARC's. I am sorry, but I hate most but not all ARC reviews as they can be LIARS. The other 13 reviews were simple star ratings with no reviews. I'm not bothering with the 4 stars. This book was only released a couple of weeks ago and BARF.

The ARC reviews are getting so ridiculous that I really think GR should color them differently so I/we don't have too wade through paragraphs of BS and nauseating GIFS just to find out it's an ARC.

My review...
This was gross. It wasn't remotely Chick Lit, Contemporary, whatever. The language was gross. Naughty talking heroes can be great if they are earthy, raunchy and genuine, but insert tab A into slot B is not scintillating whether it is uttered to the heroine or about her. This had about as much romance or sensuality as a trip to the gynecologist. It was that clinical.

The plot was sketchy, but could have been redeemed with the right approach, but it wasn't. The men were supposed to provide physical proof of the virgins. When the hero plotted out how and what he was going to do, I was out of there.

Is my review fair? Or I am taking it out on an author?
Yes- fair.

I thought I was jumping into fluff, and instead I jumped into a OTT raunch fest where men belittle women and find that hunting down a virgin trumps having sex with twins and their mother as they keep their F--- diaries to keep track. I stay away from certain authors for a reason, and I felt blind-sided with this one.

This is certainly some readers cup of tea, but not mine.

This was just awful. So bad. I hate older man and younger girl books. Its so gross. She is still a child and they are always like, "I've never met any woman like you before". Are we supposed to believe that 18 year olds are so mature and responsible, and are capable enough to keep a 45 year old's attention? What would she have to offer him?

*Spoilers*

Beth -18 yr old child-peforms sexual favors for money and is surprised that she gets hurt. Lol. Ok.

Mason is a 45 yr old, disgusting low-life who is way to old to behave the way he is. This sociopath bets to have sex with a virgin and take pics of the blood on his weiner to prove he did the deed.

The prostitution and the way he behaved were not the worst part of the book. The dialogue was cringy. Things like, "man milk", "big fat fuckpole" or "fuckrod" and "tight hot snatch". But the phrase "lashing that fertile hole with blast after blast of hot white goop" was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

The title of this book made no sense at all. They don't even have kids until the epilogue. How was it a secret? They were married lol.

This has got to be the most awful book I have read, the writing was terrible, it felt like the sex scenes were written by a 12 year old horny teenage boy and there were many mistakes and confusions in timeline. where did all the good ratings come from lol??

Hot, Sexy and Over-The-Top, #BABYMACHINE is a entertaining read. A curvy, virgin librarian, a jerk billionaire, a bet and a whole lot of steamy, filthy fun create an enjoyable read. I'm posting an honest review after reading an advance copy of this book.

Babymachine by Cassandra Dee and Katie Ford a four-star read that will make you want to make whoopie. This pair write a hot and steamy read. It’s over the top and hot, if you’re expecting the story from the blurb then you may be disappointed, but if you discount that and just go into it expecting a great story about curvy women filled with fun and drama then this is the story for you.

One word: Awful.

This is possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. Not sure how this got published. I almost never give books 1 star because I think authors should be appreciated for their work, even if it’s not my cup of tea. But this book? No. I’m sorry but if I could rate this 0 stars, I would.

I cannot believe that this was written by a woman. The language used reeks of misogyny. In Mason’s POV, he refers to women as ‘bags of bones,’ and calls them whores. Beth also frequently slut-shames herself and other women.

Another issues I have is the vocabulary choices. I cannot express how bored I was reading about how ‘curvy’ and ‘voluptuous’ Beth’s body was. I do not care what she looks like enough to read about it every single paragraph. If this story featured a plus sized protagonist for the representation, I appreciate that. But in this book, Beth’s ‘curviness’ was only there as a kink for Mason. Stop fetishizing plus size women! Appreciate them and respect them instead.

On the topic of word choice, does someone want to tell me why the hell genitals were referred to as ‘fuckrod’? I would rather read ‘velvet wrapped steel’ over ‘fuckrod’. There are so many other bizarre words the author uses to describe anything sexual. It was just weird and really killed the mood.

Another thing that really irks me is the title. It has no relevance to plot, like at all. She doesn’t get pregnant until the epilogue. And then, the extended epilogue, which is 10 years later, she has 9 kids. Either she had a shit ton of twins and triplets, or she was pregnant every year for 10 years, which can’t be healthy for the mother.

Maybe I shouldn’t complain about this since I should have figured it out from the synopsis, but why are we still using the ‘innocent librarian virgin with the super experienced old dude who is literally the hottest guy ever?’ Aren’t we bored of this yet? Also, they did not have a single interesting conversation.

I get this is a short ‘book’ (if you can even call it that), but there was zero character development. Beth was the same innocent librarian with no personality at the end of the book as she was at the beginning. Mason was also a complete douche and his monologues (which were frequent and all said the exact same thing), did not match up with his actions or lifestyle, like at all. The man had no morals and did not redeem himself at the end. Mason’s monologues, as I mentioned before, were so repetitive. Every single one had the line ‘Beth doesn’t deserve this,’ and then he precedes to screw her over and be an asshole. What a loser.

Also, something slightly concerning: Beth did not have a single friend during the whole book. Her dad and step mom added nothing to the story and did not offer any real support. Her whole life basically revolves around Mason, which is super unhealthy. Don’t get me wrong, Mason’s friends were absolute trash, at least he had a life outside of Beth.

My final complaint is a big one for me. The attempted sexual assault being used a little plot line because the author got bored is disgusting. Not only is the trauma completely glossed over, there was no need for that. Lazy writing and honestly super harmful.

So yeah, don’t read this book. I lost 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. Dora the Explorer is more interesting than this shit show of a book.

P.s If you’re the author reading this, what the actual fuck?

Oh jeez!! Where do I start?!?! It was badly written with a terrible plot line it didn't even have the potential of a good plot line. Not only that but the title was completely unrelated. How on earth can it be called BABYMACHINE if there are NO babies included until the extended epilogue?!?! It just didn't make sense. The H was an unfeeling, horrible bag of dicks with absolutely no character development at all and also how in the world was I meant to believe he was an alpha male completely captured by his woman from the first meeting when he said and I quote "what was her name again?" I'm sorry buddy?? That just makes you sound like an idiot. It was wildly immature and childish especially with this whole fuck book thing. If the author was going to implement it they should've done it a lot better and the plot progression should've been so much greater than the anti climax it turned out to be.

Why ad well did you constantly refer to the h's weight? Why was that even a problem once or twice fine but again and again it got a bit tedious.she was ridiculously undeveloped character and very boring. She just seemed like a simpering fool who would do anything even though he was an idiot and she was the one to make amends not him. RIDICULOUS!

Not only this but I find one line offensive and not funny especially being British it was ridiculously stereotypical to make the British guy have a "hoity toity accent" I'll have you know very few of us speak like that and the word marvellous many people say that all over the world it just varies from where your from but "maybe that's what Uk people are like" I'm sorry...WHAT!? What are we like? Using words in the dictionary in every day life instead of the ridiculous slang terms society has somehow come to accept. So no I'm not very happy with any of this book it was a waste of my time!

Warning! There are sexual attack triggers in this story, and Cassandra Dee doesn't pull her punches here! So beware!! If you don't like anything involving rectal penetration or dirty talking, do not read this book! Yes, I know there are readers who prefer to be warned if any of this undesirable content should remotely appear in their readings, but, hey! That's no sin. It's called preference. But I do object to reviews that simply hate upon the book because the sexual techniques inside are not their cup of tea. I don't hate on your preferences. Don't base a review on your personal sexual positions or avoidance of such. Give me something with teeth to gnaw on, not that stupid shit on whether or not anal sex can only be safely done with condoms. Nothing's wrong between two consenting adults, right?

Right.

Now do why I only gave this a 3.5 (rounding up to a four) stars rating.

I liked the characters a lot. Ms. Dee and Ms. Ford developed these two quite well despite the short pagination of this story. Whether or not you can fully believe that a CEO billionaire would have a public-access library in his company's building, that's up to you. I think it's a little original pushing on almost unrealistic, but the point wasn't pushed too hard into the realm of chaotic unreality. A billionaire can do whatever the hell he pleases. And that's Beth White's position — the librarian. A real one. And between her part-time gig as Mr. Mason Carlton's librarian, she's going to school for her undergrad degree. She's short and curvy, innocent and sweet, hard-working and industrious. And she wears bulking clothing to cover up her curves and very generous ass. And everything would had been peaceful until...

Until Mason Carlton's social circle, a bunch of extremely bored, jaded rich dudes, decided to up the ante — seduce a virgin and produce photographic/video proof of her deflowering. Whoever wins the most points, that girl is the center of a gang bang by the rest of the guys. Mason is so bored with his life and his social circle that he agrees to this mindless antic.

Then he meets Beth in the library (a tribute to his mother) whom he realizes is THE virgin (and the other part of his soul) he's been looking for.

Now anyone who knows how Cassandra Dee writes, she writes filthy fap stories. Nothing's wrong with that if you like reading fap material. And she holds nothing back. (See the warning at the top of this review!) Now this isn't a treatise on BDSM like Fifty Shades. It's all about two people who really like to have wild and crazy sex loaded with a ton of enough trust to do the things that they do. Not a problem. It's done spontaneously without sounding like a textbook. (Trust me, I've seen romances like that, and it's hardly entertaining OR accurate.) Nor should it be a textbook because there's a ton of important material left out (such as safe words, proper safeguards when using rope or goofing around with erotic asphyxiation). Get the proper textbooks regarding this advanced sexual play and the proper education from someone who is highly skilled with these techniques because people die when not properly taught. But at least you can get a hint on why some people find BDSM an actual lifestyle.

The psychology is of victimology is sound. Also sound is the fact that victims can eventually marry their rapists (though no such thing happens here!). When trust is broken, it can be repaired, albeit slowly and not without a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I appreciate that this aspect of relationships has been explored realistically. I haven't see it done like this in other books, so kudos to Cassandra Dee!

I only wished the basic editorial clean-up had been done. Misspelled words. Bad grammar (though not consistently). Poor punctuation... I would have loved to have cleaned this manuscript up myself without pay or credit! Dee and Ford do display talent. But why can't they get a decent editor? If they pay for editorial services, they need to ask for their money back. If they do it themselves, stop this game. Even I would prefer someone to review my writing prior to publication, and that's my job!

I will say that the double epilogues are appropriate and satisfying. I appreciate knowing the "rest of the story" without getting too carried away. Again, I also appreciate the realism involved. There can be redemption, even for the worst of sinners. And even victims can find in their heart true forgiveness. This is why this book could have had five stars.

Buy the book and the rest of this series. I certainly did.

A Great Second Chance Billionaire Boss Story

What happens when billionaire playboys get bored....the place bets. Mason Carlton is a self made billionaire getting bored with making money, women and basically life. He needs a challenge and that challenge comes in a box office at a baseball game with his Players Club of billionaires. Have sex with a virgin and have proof, but where do you find a virgin in New York??? Beth White is the librarian at Mason's company and is curvy and innocent, until Mason catches a blimps of her. The attraction is immediate and what Mason wants is what Mason gets. Beth knows what Mason is asking of her is wrong but it feels so right. What starts out as winning a bet becomes so much more and he can't get enough of Beth to the point they are practically living together. Now it's time to reveal his conquest to the others but he can't bring himself to share his Beth with the others until goaded into proving himself. When Beth stumbles across Mason's f**k book with all the women before her it's bad, but what crushes her the most is when she finds the entries about herself. How could she be so naïve as to believe an alpha billionaire could love a curvy nobody like her. Mason knows he messed up but he can't lose the woman he loves but that choice isn't his to make now. Will Beth forgive him and give him another chance or is she to broken by his betrayal??? This book will give your emotions one hell of a workout and keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for the other shoe to drop. The sex scenes are explosive, the love is real and Beth will bring the big bad billionaire to his knees. His/her POV, no cheating, no cliffhanger and a very HEA with an extended epilogue. This book is a revised version of The Black Book and is a MUST READ so one click now.

Mason is in a club of bored playboy billionaires and they're all bored with sex and have tried to spice things up. This time the want a virgin and they have to have proof a virginity and loss of virginity to win. Mason meets Beth at the library when he goes in on the pretense of researching virgins. He went into the library with a plan and he executed it perfectly however one thing he never counted on was liking Beth. Beth is a curvy shy woman and when Mason shows her some attention and she decides she wants to be with him for however long he does. They start spending all their free time together after they have sex. Mason can't understand why he is so taken with Beth but he keeps going back even going as far as to introduce her to his family. Mason is devastated when Beth learns why he started seeing her and ends things. After some time apart and therapy Beth realizes that Mason really does love her like she loves him so she goes to talk things out with him. Will Beth and Mason get back together?

This was an amazing story once I started it I couldn't out it down. The chemistry between Beth and Mason was blazing hot. This was a well written and entertaining story.

I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

I read another review on Goodreads saying that this book sounded like it was written by horny boys and I thought that was so funny.
All of Cassandra Dee's characters say they're so smart, getting good grades in school for them is not hard, and then they act dumb. For example, it was probably obvious when Mason wanted her to tutor him in virginity, he didn't mean with a textbook. She was pretty gullible to believe that.
Okay, and the baby stuff didn't happen to the epilogue....and woah, I thought she wanted to be a writer. Instead, she didn't work for 10 years, just as a mom getting knocked up 10 times within 10 years from 18-28...which I'm sure is enough work in itself but to not have any fulfillment besides being a mom...idk just seemed like she had ambitions.
Also, well at least Mason's a billionaire and has enough money to provide for 10 kids...
Also, as a former 18 year old, I don't really get how you would be attracted to a 45 year old. Then they were saying in 20 years, yeah he'll be 65 and you'll still be young at 38.

This book was pure smut. I liked book #3, which I read before this one, much better.
Also, Mason seemed really arrogant.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Mason is a 45 yr old billionaire who is getting board with his private club. So they make a bet that each of them was to find a virgin and show proof that she was one. He decided to go his company's library and that's where he met Beth, the curvy librarian. He knew right away she was a virgin and she was just his type. He liked a woman with some padding on her. So he made her believe he was doing a research on virgins and needed her help and she should be in his office at 5 the next day,
Beth took one look at Mason and she wanted him but since she was a virgin and the only thing she knew about sex was what she read in romance books, But she needed this job so she knew she had to help him. But when she got to his office she found out what he really wanted. This is a well written book and you need to read to fine out what happens between Mason and Beth.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Mason and Beth. Mason owns his own business he has made more money than he can spend in one lifetime still he knows something is missing. Beth works in the library in his business and also knows something is missing unlike Mason she knows what it is just not who it is. Mason is part of a group of men that have more money than they know what to do with so they think they can do anything. So Mason makes a bet with some of the men from the club. What happens though when he wants more? Will he have blown his chance with this bet or will he finally get the biggest prize of all?

This is an amazing story. It has it's ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. I don't however want to ruin it for anyone else. I will say I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

"curvy and luscious" zero stars.

in all honesty this book is just vile.

a horny (fat) teenage daydream gotten severely out of hand and somehow through the editing process.

we like to laugh at how men write women but how these authors write the male lead (or all men here) is honestly such an insult to men as a whole that I want to apologise.

the language and overall writing is so crass and amateurish that it's hard to believe an adult wrote this. some words that were used in all seriousness: fuckstick, fuckrod, fuckshaft, fuckpole, gazongas, brown star.

all the reviews saying "steamy" must mean the rage that builds up by the page because sahara has nothing on this prose.

the only positives I wrangled out of this piece of trash were the laughter-inducing ridiculousness and the ego boost an aspiring writer might get from reading this.

apologies to the authors for my brutal honesty, I'm sure you're lovely people, but this just shouldn't exist.

Mason is a forty plus billionaire playboy who is bored with his life. He enters a despicable contest with his buddies that he is intent on winning. Find a virgin and deflower her, have proof with pictures. He finds Beth his sexy virgin in the library of his business. After wooing her and getting what he wants he can't let her go. He is falling in love with her and doesn't want to play this game any longer. Unfortunately Beth discovers a black book and pictures outlining the degrading games and the bet. Devastated, Beth leaves and refuses to speak with Mason. Will Mason be able to redeem himself and save their relationship? If you're looking for an excellent plot with steamy sex and of course romance, “BABYMACHINE” is for you. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Should have been earlier in the story

This was an good book but I gave it two stars because the blurb is so misleading. This book really should have been named something else. There was never a pregnancy until the epilogue and we all know that's the end of the end!! Ooh but where does the name come in you ask?? Baby machine leads one to believe that she's extremely fertile or he has a lot of strong swimmers. Well in the extended epilogue we found out they had nine children in ten years and she was pregnant with the tenth. So baby machine I guess. I just think if you're going to have a book be about something or named something it should've happened further up in the book. Not at the end like an afterthought. It was almost like the authors forgot what they were writing about and just decided to add an epilogue and an extended epilogue with the information instead.

This was just awful. The language is way too much for me and the sex way out of my comfort zone. The reason I picked the book is because of the "shy librarian" description. The plot (story/idea) is actually good but that is where it stops. Throughout the whole book I couldn't get pass the "librarian" been so young. I don't really like romances with such and age difference however that was not it. She is so young that she CAN'T possibly be a librarian. You need a masters degree in library science to be librarian. Which means that Beth had to be at least 23. That is if she got her BA in 3 years instead of 4 and the masters in a year and a half instead of 2. This is widely available information that should not have escaped the author. Not planning to read another one. Not my cup of tea

Okay so warning before going into this book. There is a big age gap girl is 18 guy is 45,
There is a lot of problems with this book and it was decent enough that I could finish it, I got the book on iTunes..

Could be spoilers below

I hated the guy and his friends treated the women as in there a game to fuck and rate if they would good enough or would never do again as well as keeping a fuck book with snippets of all the women a little about them what they liked or didn’t like during sex plus a rating as in a D, B,A+etc

And the sex scenes weren’t that great in my opinion as well as I felt as if he story was rushed we didn’t get to know how the characters it’s basically a porno read and bad one at that

This book is about love, betrayal and forgiveness. As we have come to expect from these authors, the story is scorching hot and the characters relationship develops and deepens. Mason is a bored billionaire who must find a willing virgin to win a bet. Beth is the gentle, shy, curvy librarian who gives him her virginity. I loved the way the characters became vulnerable to each other and of course love wins out in the end, but not before the billionaire needs to win the virgin's forgiveness and love.
I could not put it down. I would highly recommend reading this book. 💋

12 bored Billionaires meet up they’re the Player’s Club. They keeps logs about the women they have had, how they have had them and give them marks for effort. They decide that they need a new mission and a Virgin is the next to be added to the log with proof and pictures needed. Along comes Beth who is a librarian at the corporation of Mason Carlton who is the CEO. She is innocent, and a naive Virgin. Mason is a cocky, arrogant, I can have it all, Billionaire and needs bringing down a peg or two. Hence the story begins. I enjoyed this read. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

#BabyMachine is a steamy read about Mason a sexy billionaire and Beth a shy virgin librarian. Mason is an arrogant CEO who is part of the Players Club where a group of men keep a black book of their sexual conquests. Little did Beth know she was to be one of Mason's conquests. How will she react when she finds out the truth and can she forgive Mason in the end? This is a well written book with great character and a great storyline that will keep you turning the pages. Mason is a billionaire member of the players club who's used to getting anything and everything he wants. Beth is a young librarian working for Carlton Corp. She and Mason meet in the library at the company. He's doing research for a virgin and he thinks he's found a real true virgin in the library. Will Mason get what he wants this time or will the pretense of a omission ruin things? Will they get a HEA?
