Enforcer Dylon Royd worked for the notorious Silver Point Pack until they accused him of disloyalty. Imprisoned and beaten to within an inch of his life, he's dumped at the side of a road and left for dead. Waking up in the Blackwood Pack's hospital, he's shocked to discover his Fated Mate is one of the pack's members he'd been ordered to kill.

Cody is a seer and has grappled with visions all his life, but after most of his family is massacred they have intensified so fiercely he begins to make plans to escape his pain and suffering. A few years ago, I wrote my first book, Dire Warning. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicle the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings. Since then, the pack has expanded, allowing more stories to be told and different paranormals to be included. The series has become, as one reader described it…an “Epic Saga.”
Now, twelve books later, Lord Manetu has just been published. I love the M/M paranormal genre because it gives my imagination a lot of territory in which to roam. My mind can really run wild and come up with some amazing stuff when it doesn’t have to stay inside the box. My story ideas come to me as if they were being channeled by my characters, all of whom I love (except for a few villains). They are eager to recount their lives, loves and adventures, and are not reluctant to let it all out when it comes to revealing steamy details. My writing style is free-wheeling and uninhibited and my readers tell me they love it that way; that it makes them feel like they’re right in on the action and a member of the Blackwood Pack.
I live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I read a lot (good for the mind) and love gardening (good for the soul). And I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, my private Facebook Group, Twitter, Instagram, or my website.

It's 2:15 a.m. You know what that means. One more chapter, wouldn't suffice. From whole family killed. Guilt over going to Vagas instead of being there to help. Finding shelter with an old wolf and his witch. Going to their lawyer to get their grandmothers inheritance signed over. Because their life was put on hold. Due to a kill on site order.

Getting ones car and clothes stolen. Finding fated mate. Oracle directing them to solutions. That mating bite, though. An side quest. Finishing the bond.

Babies...assassin attempts...new pack members...let their be dragons, please. Might as well show the fae. I mean they found ghost bears. I'm just saying, "This would be the best fantasy ever." Just thinking about it.. that old shifter gotta be a shaman.

I usually can tell which will have the next adventure. Not here! Don't know what the future holds. But I can't wait to ride alongside this pack.

[Overall series review:

This series reminds me so much of the Cloverleah Pack by Lisa Oliver x)

I appreciate that there is an overall story going through the books and that the author doesn't pretend that these are all "standalones" and that you can read them on their own and then they have to do boring recaps dumps for the people that decided to start at book 5.

The narration style is a bit all over the place since we follow ALL the characters and the POV constantly changes in between paragraphs (we even get random bad guy's povs) ]

The overarching story shenanigans are, as usual, golden trash and Cody and Dylan are cute and fluffy as a couple and I appreciate the lack of relationship drama.

The "BDSM" situation made me laugh more than anything else? Like the actual dynamic was actually surprisingly well balanced an healthy however the idea that Dylan's shaman was asked by the gods to train him in being a Dom made me laugh so hard 🤣 I kept imagining him being like "this is so not in my job description..."

Love this series so much!!!

Each book I get more attached to the characters. You can see the pieces coming together as more information is revealed. I have a good guess who Slate's mate is. Now I have to just be patient ugg.

Peace Maker
By Mary Rundle

Dylon is beaten and left for dead in the ditch by his Alpha's second in command. When he wakes up in the Blackwood Pack's hospital he discovers his mate, Cody. Cody's life has been filled with horrible visions he can't stop and the pain of so many victims. He doesn't think he has a fated mate out there and even if he does Cody is sure his mate won't want a freak. The only thing that's kept Cody from ending his life to escape the pain has been his family. Can Dylon help Cody get peace and happiness in his heart again?

The story also continues on with the background storyline of the brother's nefarious Uncle and Alpha of the Silver Point Pack, Josiah.

This was another great addition to the series. I loved Dylon and Cody. There is light BDSM in this book. Just so you're forewarned.

The book is mostly in Dylon and Cody's POV, but it's also in the POV of many other characters in the book. The angst level is on the lower end of high.

HALF OF AN INTERESTING STORY

The last half of the book was good. I truly like Rundle's style. Hero's to the rescue - good. Did not like the intense BDSM half, even with the complex attempt at justification. Did not find it necessary for the story telling. No thank you.

I had 99 problems with this installment in the series. The only reason I finished it was so I could continue with the remaining unmated brother's books.

In the start of Cody and Dylon's physical relationship in regards to the BDSM it was nonconsensual, I don't care if the Fates or shamans or whoever had Dylon prepared to help Cody by using BDSM, they didn't discuss it before they got physical. A little warning would have been nice.
Add in the element where it seems like Dylon has magical genitals, just nope.

The two stars I did give this book where for the other characters, who were the only redeeming thing about it.

The story line that runs through the series really dragged in this one.

Love this couple

This book kept me reading from start to finish in one evening. It has moments of comedy to lighten the seriousness of the strain a gift can bring. Love the way the author introduces Dylon and the extensive way he prepared for his mate for years. It’s male/male hotness and some Light bdsm. The brothers in this series continue to rise over severe tragedy and cannot wait to read the next story

Absolutely fantastic

I am living this series so much! The brothers in the Blackwood Pack have all suffered so much tragedy in their lives and it is a delight to see them find their Fated Mates one at a time.

I found Dylon and Cody's story to be compelling and engaging. I'm excited to read more about Kieran and Logan, as well as all of the other brothers.

I think this is my favorite so far. I still can’t wait to see ruby and Josiah die. I’m happy they freed the kids and babies. The unexpected bond with the twins was awesome. I’m also glad that they were able to reunite some of the families. I hope the buyers and the evil sob get locked up in a cage chained to the walls for a ton of years. I can’t wait for the next book, which is Logan’s.

Another Awesome Reveal On The Blackwood Pack

I gave this book 5-stars because of the well written script in this series that easily picks up from the previous book, along with the intrigue that builds into a spellbinding good story. Fell in love with the characters of Cody and Dylon. Great book, highly recommend.

Peacemaker (audiobook)
MMy Thoughts and Confessions:

I have loved this shifter series since I first listened to book one, last Spring (2020). Rundle takes shifter lore to a whole new level with the Blackwood pack. This pack of brothers have suffered such loss, but never strayed from their moral compass. These brothers instead chose to band together and stand against their foes, extending their hand to others in need and because of their fortitude, the Fates have blessed them.

One at a time, beginning with their Alpha, each brother is not only finding the other half of their soul, but they are each also endowed with extraordinary gifts and abilities to strengthen the pack and help other shifters in need.

I love the humor found among the brothers in these books, along with the camaraderie among everyone in the pack. Sure, there are issues, as with any group larger than two, but they work together to find solutions to their problems and know their love and friendship will remain their cornerstone.

“Peace Maker,” picks right up after “Raphael’s Power,” which I must add completely rocked my world. When the nearly lifeless body of a shifter is brought into the pack’s hospital, Cody discovers the body belongs to his true mate. He knows without the help of Ian and his brother Colton, his mate, his future, and his sanity will be lost forever.

Book three holds elements of hurt/ comfort in it (no angst), along with a D/s relationship that was beautifully executed through its writing style, by the author. It is not over the top, fluffy, or grim, but a well thought out and beautiful evolutionary relationship between the two MCs. It has been a while since I have enjoyed this type of relationship in a story. Well done, Ms. Rundle.

There were also plenty of action sequences and tumultuous moments to keep the listener interested, as the story unfolded. The romance and sMMexy times abounded and never felt forced or placed in the story, “just because,” but organically were part of the storyline.

As always, I love that *extra something* Nick J. Russo adds to a story. His storytelling is so genuine you feel as if a dear friend is in the room with you, relaying the words personally.

If you love shifter series, but feel they are all the same, give “The Blackwood Pack Series,” a try. This is one series that does stand out above the rest.

Abgebrochen

Dylon ist überrascht, was seinen Gefährten angeht.

3,5 *

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey’s books)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

TVs Riot Claiming Neglect

This is all wrong. Most series seem to dwindle as subsequent books are released. And the books are kept small, a couple of hundred pages so the author can quickly get to the next book. Ms Rundle is a refreshing surprise. Peace Maker is a wonderful book that captivated this reader for over 400 pages. A story full of surprises, action, drama and heart. Even the sex scenes seemed to tone down giving the story line more prominence.
I was a little concerned about the BDSM elements. I didn't want it to be misrepresented or cheapened knowing how powerful it is and how misunderstood it can be. I think the author handles it well with balance and insight.
This book was easy to pick up at every opportunity and my TV didn't stand a chance when trying to compete against this great story. I found a couple of editing errors but in a book this long and this good I'm willing to jump right over them.
Peace Maker is definitely a 5 star book. My investment in reading Ms Rundle's Blackwood Pack series is paying off with interest. I definitely recommend this captivating book. I'm a happy man knowing I have many more books in the series to enjoy. Sorry televisions it's going to be a while.....

After reading book 1 (Dire Warning) and meeting all the Blackwood brothers with their unique individual characteristics, I knew this series was going to be a good one. But Peace Maker blew my mind. It’s unbelievable that Cody and Dylon live under the same roof as Jackson and Steel, and Colton and Ian yet the dynamics of their relationship is completely different to the others.

I really enjoyed thinking I knew what was going to happen/happening only to be proven completely wrong. This book definitely kept me on my toes.

My favourite part was when Jackson tried to initiate swear word alternatives in the hopes of preventing Daniel’s first word being the ‘f’ word. The brothers miss-understood what Jackson was using the word for and a hilarious conversation transpired about the mens’ genitals. Mary wrote this in such a way that when my family asked what I was laughing so much about, I felt like I was explaining an eyewitness event instead of what I’d read in a book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading about realistic characters, unexpected twists, and a great storyline.

3.5 stars

This was another interesting book from this series. We get to know Cody and Dylon and them together as fated mates. After reading the other two books from this series, I am used to the POV changing so often. With so many different perspectives, the story is built from many different sides. We still get pieces from the storyline from books one and two, but again, this book we meet new people and new plot lines start that I am eager to see till the end.

There is a little bit of a power exchange with Cody and Dylon in the bedroom and it is HOT. There are so many characters in these books and each has some sort of mind link so basically everyone is connected in some way or another. Through the mind links and different POVs, we learn a lot more about the side characters than we normally would in a book that does not have this.

I have wanted Logan's story since we first meet him in book one as Jackson's twin. After meeting Kieran, I want to see his sassy and bold side with Logan.

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Story – 5
Performance - 5

I loved it; great audio performance!

I loved returning to The Blackwood Pack saga. This is a continuing series best read in order so not everything will be concluded in this story. There is a good HEA for the main couple, Dylon and Cody. As with the first two books, Nick J. Russo did an excellent job with his performance of this story.

Because the blurb is so detailed, I really recommend you read it. I’m going to say that this audiobook held my interest from start to finish and I listened to it straight through. The story was compelling and kept me on the edge of my seat in places. Both Dylon and Cody go through some pretty rough patches.

This is a series that I definitely want to continue listening to. If you can’t wait for the next one to come out as an audiobook, books 1-9 are available to read now in Kindle Unlimited.

A copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
