When her fascination with BDSM cost her a boyfriend, Angela turned her new obsession into a profitable business. Angela enjoyed both the power and money being a Domme afforded her, but something was missing. That something walked through the door of her playroom in the form of Matt, a young lawyer who's will and wit were a match for Angela's. Will the handsome lawyer break under Angela's command, or is his stubborn, macho attitude just what she needs?
When I got an email with the ARC in it I wasn't sure about it. It was so different from my usual reads but I loved it. It's a short read and I love that. But one thing that I appreciate in a book is when I can learn something new or more. In Restraint I did, I learned more about BDSM and it's relationships. I knew some thing about it but I definitely learnt more.
While the book was surrounded with BDSM and sexual tension, it actually was more than that. While reading you can feel the emotions that run through the main character(s). How they learn and experiment different thing and how somehow their life gets turned around.
So grammatically, I personally didn't see anything wrong. I loved how it was written. Paragraph weren't too long and sentences didn't drag on. Cause it is a short story, pace was fast but not like impossibly fast so that was fine too.
Yeah, in the plot there was few things that annoyed me but I can't talk about without spoiling the whole book or at least some of it. Otherwise I enjoyed it a lot and for a rating I would say 7/10.
Angela and Matt so different. Brought together by Matt's boss how dose not realize what he has done will also affect his life.
Angela's boyfriend is not happy with how their relationship is changing and when things get too kinky he's had enough and walks away. Angela decides her life needs to change and after researching she sets herself up as a Domme. One of her clients is upset with one of his employees and decides to send him to Angela as a punishment for pushing him to increase the scoop of his work. But Mark has no idea what he's getting involved with, but finds himself wanting Angela but not on her terms. This book starts off a little long winded but once you have the dynamics of the people it's hard to stop reading and hopping relationships work out.
I loved the idea of this I just wish there was more and that the male lead wasn’t such a baby. I feel like their relationship isn’t going to last especially bc it feels like the male lead is reminiscent of the last one only this one doesn’t seem to want to delve any deeper. Idk. I just feel like her desires haven’t been fully met.
I loved the storyline, however there were a few too many grammar errors. This effected the flow at times. I liked how the author described what she was having the characters do, you will have to read to understand what I mean.
