Rate this book
What if Prince Charming wasn't so charming?
When the glass slipper fits and the handsome prince proposes, Cinderella expects a happily ever after. Free from her stepmother's clutches, she thinks she's bound for a better life.
She couldn't be more wrong.
On the way to her fiance's palace, Cinderella and her stepsister are attacked by a dragon. After a narrow escape, they're abducted by a shapeshifter named Fenix, who is immune to death and has no free will. Cinderella's capture was ordered by Donnabella, a wicked witch who lives in a giant boot.
Cinderella just wants to get back to her prince... until she realizes she has feelings for someone else.

I'm a rather reclusive author living in Ohio with four cats.
I write super fluffy fluff and darkest grim grimdark. "This author has a strange imagination" was my favorite compliment ever. I hope my strange imagination entertains someone out there!

Wow. And not a good wow. I had hopes for this book. Maybe not high hopes, but hopes. And I was a bit disappointed. This could have been a really fun story. I kept reading even though I really wanted to quit about a quarter of the way in. There are so many holes that could have been filled in. Don’t let the dragons in the title fool you either. They were mentioned several times, but they were a bit on the stupid side.

Now the characters... annoying to say the least. The way they talk can get on your nerves. And I was hoping to see Cinderella be a little bit bad ass. She wasn’t, but her stepsister Terra had the potential to be a bit bad ass. But she wasn’t either.

This book fell flat and face down. I finished it, wanting to know the outcome but the ending leaves you wanting. And not in a good way. I hate giving bad reviews, but I was expecting a bit more from this and am quite disappointed with the whole thing.

Nice twist to an old tale
What happens after Cinderella is found and she is on the way to meet Prince Charming? Phoenix, Terra, Mariposa and Bella were all interesting twists as things do not go as planned for Cinderella. Nice short interesting twist to an old fairy tale.

Satirical but fairly puerile

Ok, it is light-hearted and had some laughs but overall I found it to be puerile. I actually went back to check if it was a kids' book but nooo! I am fairly sure I will not be completing the series.
As far as satire on fairy tales and nursery rhymes, it delivers but the storyline is thin and has many holes.
I do not recommend unless you're looking for something quick and easy to read.
As for the wise words options, I found that irritating and if this is an adult book totally unnecessary. For children under 12, yes I can accept it

I was suckered into reading this because I saw Cinderella and dragons in the title and thought that sounded like a great combination. I mean, there are dragons in here but they're the boring, mindless and rampaging kind. Cinderella doesn't even get a badass moment and slay them.

I could only get to 20% before having to give up. This just never pulled me in. I felt this was written awkwardly. The characters do not make me care enough to want continue reading.

I liked it. It's a mash up of different fairy tales. It follows Cinderella traveling to Prince Charming's palace and the misshaps that happen along the way.
