Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
"I am dying to do more stuff with my name, but the moment I say 'hey, I'm the Antichrist, son of the Devil,' people freak out. Then crosses get flashed, and some people start flinging water at me. Which fucks with the gel in my hair." He flicked at the crown of his head, and she snickered. "You don't wear gel." "If I did, it totally would." "Since when do people flash crosses at you?" "The other day, an old lady in the grocery store did." "Were you drooling over the fresh meat at the deli again?" "It was one time, dammit! Even you have to admit that porterhouse was beautiful."
The final story in the Hell's Son trilogy…did not go at all like I'd expected. It took me a little while to get into it, it started kind of slow and Chris was getting on my nerves. But he came right back around to the usual ridiculous, snarky Chris after he meets Charlie. ALL the gang makes an appearance in this one, and we find out all the players in the game. It does take an odd turn from apocalyptic battle to episode of Jerry Springer, but it's certainly interesting. And even though it was absolutely weird, everything did fall into place, all questions were answered. Anyway, this was good, it took a bit of a different route compared to the first two, but it wrapped up everything nicely and I'm sure it won't be the last we see of this family. At least I really hope not, because I really did love this series. And I really hope to see more of Isobel and Chris. And I'd be super interested to see if Bambi will find someone(s), the horsemen too, and of course more Lucifer (always more Lucifer!).
A good sign because it meant that, despite their small spat the previous day, she'd chosen not to remain pissed. Someone might just get morning sex. His favorite kind, right along with shower sex, car sex, public-place sex, and his most favorite: with-his-wife-anywhere sex.
~
"I want you to come away with me. Now, before it's too late." "What do you mean 'too late'? Don't tell me you think the world is going to end today, too." Why wasn't it on anyone's calendar? She might have worn a different outfit if she'd known.

When the next angel came in close, he swung, and…thunk. A body hit the ground. Opening his eyes, he saw the strangest thing in his hand-a glowing fucking shovel outlined in a wispy gray light. Not exactly his sister's flaming sword, but hot damn, he had his own magical weapon.
~
"War doth fly on the wings of the future. The blood of the innocents shall soak the Earth and give rise to a new dominion." "What the heck is that supposed to mean?" Chris turned a smile on her. "This is not the end."
This one had some entertaining twists and turns in it as Chris faced his destiny as Hell's son. I do enjoy Chris' lack of drive towards anything and yet he has such certainty he's supposed to rule Hell. Of course things don't go exactly the way he imagined. He may be the Anti-Christ but somethings up with his magic and he hasn't been able to use it. The best part of his life is of course his wife, but Isobel's worried about what's going on. And well his psychopathic mother is back and looking to cause trouble so of course everything bound to come to a head sooner or later.
This was fun and brought all of the characters from the multiple Hell series' together for a big conclusion. I'm glad I got to read this one and found it interesting where things left off. Looks like there's always potential for more in this world. :)
Hell’s King is the second book in Eve Langlais’ Hell’s Son series. This is the third series set in this world with the really funny Lucifer. The first series is The Princess of Hell, which like this one is a UF series that follows Lucifer’s youngest and favorite daughter, Muriel. The second series is Welcome to Hell, which is a paranormal romance with Lucifer playing matchmaker among his minions. Now, we are back to UF, following Lucifer’s son, Christopher, who is really just coming into the family.
So, in this story Christopher married Isobel, the granddaughter of Rasputin. But now life has gotten a little boring for Christopher. Isobel nags him about taking out the garbage. He’s also not able to raise the dead anymore. He’s mundane (nooooooo!!!!).
So a lot happens in this book. We meet Chris’s mother. We learn more about what’s going on with Chris’s power and how he becomes Hell’s King. We get some time with his older sisters, Muriel and Bambi. We also get to spend some time with Chris’s cousin, Charlie (the name that Jesus is now going by). Charlie is also an arms dealer.
Can’t say anymore because spoilers. I will just say, I don’t know if there is another book coming out in this series, but I’m sure we aren’t done with Christopher, Lucifer or everyone else in this world. Oh, you can read this series without having read the other series, but do start with Lazy Son, book one. You would get more from this, if you were already familiar with this world, but you would still have a good story with just this series. You do really need to experience Lucifer and his fondness of rubber duckies.
Narration Tyler Donne continues to do a good job with the narration of this series. His male and female voices are good. I do wish he did a little more to bring the humor out in the series. I don’t think his “snark” voice is as good as it could be. But overall, not too bad at all.
**I like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Who doesn’t want to know more about the proverbial world of hell? I sure did, and it seems much more complicated than I ever imagined. I’m not sure going there will be that bad, if Eve Langlais has it right. I mean, there are beasts, but there is still romance, love, and travel. I mean that sounds like my kind of ever after. So there are a few silly rules, like you have to have the super secret codes to open the safes and the gates. I’m sure I can figure them out!
I digress. Back to the story. I know that’s why you came…
Eve keeps up the entertaining world of Hell with this last one and we get to see how Lucifer really keeps his family together. We get to laugh as Chris finds out how hard ruling the underworld really is and how much the love between he and his wife changes his perspective on the throne he’s so coveted. We also get to see the family reunion from Hell (see a pun there)!! I mean everyone shows up from zombies to mer-men. Lucky for us there are more than a few folks and demons watching out for the land of the living so we don’t all fall into Hell. I think that may be more about workload than compassion though. But I’ll take it. Watching Chris figure out who he is was a wonderful end to rough days at my regular job.
Chris’s story finally comes to an end in this one and I’m so sad I haven’t read the other two in the series because this one is so funny. Turns out Hell is much more entertaining than I’ve ever imagined. I’m sure I will be delving in Eve’s Hell world a lot more in the coming months and years, so as always, stay tuned to see what I think and maybe find your next new world to fall in love with. I know after A Demon and His Witch I was hooked on Hell. Pick this one up on Audible and you won’t be sorry you did.
How awesome the two other books are , I kind of was a bit disappointed with this third book. Don't misunderstand me , it was good but I expected so much more. It's the final book. The batte for Earth and Hell and where was it? Yes , there was a battle but it was so dull compared to other battles from other books. It could have been so much more and that's why I only gave it 4 stars (Still not bad huh?) But it could have gotten 5 stars like the other books if the author maybe had a little more imagination. Sorry, Eve Langlais .. Nothing personal and BTW ; Love your books !
That was an epic conclusion to a great story! Chris and Isobel settle into their HEA but compared to the life they had leading up to that moment, it’s pretty boring. Not for long!!!! Of course all sorts of people who have been hovering in the background come into play making for some madcap moments, great mysteries being revealed, and family drama. At the heart of it all are Chris and Isobel, still very much in love, and still very committed to each other, and still making their way in life their way, with each other <3
In the conclusion to the “Hell’s Son” trilogy, we encounter Christopher and Isobel after their wedding, as they’re trying to figure out life as a married couple. Of course, Chris has unresolved issues with his mother and father, including the prophecy of the Antichrist. It doesn’t take long for things to get exciting again for Chris and Isobel, and Langlais brings in a huge colorful cast of characters (some old, some new) while she wraps up this fun and epic arc to her Hell’s World books.
Audio book review This is the 3rd book in Chris and Isobel's story. Chris is just coming into his power , or so he thinks . Everyone in Lucifers family has a special place . Chris finds married life boring. Isobel of course being the wife makes him do some housework that men should do . There is a lot going on this delightfully story , twists turns and some characters that you didn’t see coming, like Isabel's mother .
This series has been fantastic! Chris and Isabel threw some major curveballs at us in this book, but none bigger than Chris’s moms. The story itself was packed with action and surprises, heat and humor. All around 5 stars. Maybe there’s a book for Bambi coming? (🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼)
Very enjoyable and entertaining read and a fantastic addition to the series. I so wasn't expecting all twists and turn and the interesting turn of events that occurred with Lucifer and his brother God. So looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. Hopefully Charlie or Lucinda story.
I've loved this series from the start and this one was no different. Chris and Isobel are super steamy now that they're married and they don't tolerate threats to each other. we also meet Jesus in this one and of course he has a super crush on isobel! things are not as they appear though and soon revelations occur that change Chris' very identity!
Reading one of Eve's books is like coming home to a family you want to be a part if, but glad you're not a part of. The only regret you will have about reading this series is that you have to wait for the next book to come out!
Absolutely loved it so many laugh out loud moments and surprises.hope there are more books in this series. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this series great characters and storyline.
a little disappointing Through this series the MC Chris was a slacker getting his act together, becoming a better man. I like series where the characters learn and grow. but in book 3 the MC takes big steps backwards and becomes more childish than he was in book 1. disappointing
This series all together was... I was a bit disappointed. The first book - great plot, the second - what? and nothign actually happpening, and the last one... yes, big surprise, plot twist but in the end stil disappointing.
Good twisty ending but quite a bit of a slow read getting there. Knew Charlie/Jesus was up to something but I’m not sure why he returned Isobel as he did. Sad about Chris’s mum but we do have a glimmer of something going forward. I read this when it first came out but my review is missing.
I have enjoyed these 3 books, but in the third the repetition of sentences or part thereof is annoying along with other errors.. Was this not edited? Were I the author I would not be happy.
