The book is an unusual size, a little over 4 inches wide and 7 inches tall. It's also somewhat old-fashioned in that the pages are very, very thick, like the children's books of old that had cardboard-like pages. It also has a necklace that's included.

The artwork in the book is incredibly beautiful; it's worth buying the book for the artwork alone.

The story itself is told from Fira's viewpoint about a time when she was a very young fairy. The sun seems to be disappearing and this gets her very scared and upset and she tries to get the other fairies to do something. Then Queen Clarion explains what is going on to her. It's a cute story with some built-in moral lessons. Quite good.
