“Deb McEwan has given us an excellent, thought-provoking, fast-paced tale of the supernatural... This book has something for everyone: comedy, the supernatural, and even a love story thrown in.”

“Beyond Possession is funny, almost irreverent, but it just tiptoes up to that line... Deb McEwan can write. She writes very well, and that skill is at the forefront as characters interact.”

DEATH IS JUST THE BEGINNING
Still smarting from his recent defeat, the Devil is determined to regain the upper hand, planning ways to cause maximum chaos on Earth and beyond.
As Claire Sylvester and her lover guard the evil souls in the cave known as Hell on Earth, an angel’s mistake causes the soul of a child to be suspended in the ether – ripe bait for any passing evil.
While Claire’s twin brothers are working on their telepathic abilities at the SAP School, Tony’s wife struggles to come to terms with the death of her mother, seeking solace elsewhere.
A natural disaster strikes, playing right into the Devil’s hands as he selects young children to bend to his will.
The twins need their sister’s help, but she remains mysteriously quiet.

Following a career of over thirty years in the British Army, Deb and her husband moved to Cyprus to become weather refugees.

Deb loves spending time with her husband Allan and rescue dog Sandy. She also loves writing, keeping fit, and socialising, and does her best to avoid housework.

She’s written children's books about Jason the penguin and Barry the reindeer and young adult/adult books about dogs, the afterlife, soldiers, and netball players.

The first book in the Unlikely Soldiers series is set in nineteen-seventies Britain. The second covers the early eighties and includes the Falklands War, service in Northern Ireland and (the former) West Germany. 'Friends and Revenge' is the third in the series, and takes a sinister turn of events.

'Court Out (A Netball Girls' Drama)' is Deb's latest standalone novel. Using netball as an escape from her miserable home life, Marsha Lawson is desperate to keep the past buried and to forge a brighter future. But she’s not the only one with secrets. When two players want revenge, a tsunami of emotions is released at a tournament, leaving destruction in its wake. As the wave starts spreading throughout the team, can Marsha and the others escape its deadly grasp, or will their emotional baggage pull them under,
with devastating consequences for their families and team-mates?

The Afterlife series was inspired by ants. Deb was in the garden contemplating whether to squash an irritating ant or to let it live. She wondered whether anyone up there decides the same about us and thus the series was born.

‘The Island Dog Squad’ is a series of novellas inspired by the rescue dog Deb and Allan adopted this March. The real Sandy is a sensitive soul, not quite like her fictional namesake, and the other characters are based on Sandy’s real-life mates.

Book 11 of my Goodreads Challenge 2018

This series is Beyond Imagination

This is Book 4 in the 'Afterlife Series' and the series simply gets better and better. The author has certainly upped her game for this one. The previous three books had me so hooked I read them one after the other in just four days. This one is even more fast paced and had me on the very edge of my seat.

All our old favourite characters are here both good and evil with a few more thrown into the big mix. At times it is rather heart-breaking especially as we learn about the loss of a child's soul into the ether. There are some absolutely horrendous images conjured up too, Sandy’s story really sticks in my mind, the torture that the poor soul has to endure made me put the book aside and do something else so as not to have nightmares.

The author for this series has gone way beyond imagination, the whole series is a real rollercoaster of a read one moment you are on a high laughing then you might dip down so low you end up sobbing your heart out (well if you happen to be a sensitive soul) Finally you may even reach a peek of being totally shocked and almost scared out of your skin. AWESOME I love it.

In the beginning of this book the author gives us a brief insight into the story so far. However, if you have not read the other books in the series I greatly urge you to do so, this by far helps you with the whole story experience.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Absolutely hooked on the afterlife series. It's been a long time since I have read 4 books so fast. Can't wait to read books 5 & 6, but will be sad to say goodbye to all the characters when I finish them
