Ghosts of the Bridgewater Triangle

Rate this book
For the past twenty-five years, the people along the Massachusetts-Rhode Island border have known about the Bridgewater Triangle and the odd things that occur there. But for centuries before that, the Triangle has been a haven for the unexplained, with sightings of weird animals, UFOs, ghosts, and unmarked, strange government vehicles. Now, for the first time, the full light of research is brought to this understudied aspect of the Triangle, including the examination of classic hauntings as well as urban legends told for years as true stories. Learn about the ghosts of Profile and Anawan Rocks in Freetown, the spirits haunting the hospital of the insane in Taunton, the eerie cemeteries in Fairhaven, Attleboro, and Fall River, and many more scary sites. Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island can finally be exposed as one of the most haunted areas of New England.

I found the book interesting, but the chapters were very short with brief descriptions describing various events through out the book.

Mr. Balzano shares stories from several towns around the Triangle area. Though easy to read, I found the editing of this book to be very distracting.

A very interesting read. Could use another pass from an editor but the book serves its purpose. A fun, quick read with some basic stories of hauntings in southeastern Massachusetts. I enjoyed my time absorbed in this book.

The content of the book was creepy & really interesting, as I grew up near the area.
Unfortunately, there were many spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book.

As others have said, the book could've used another round of editing before going for publication. It didn't affect my reading of it that much but it is something I would point out to other readers. I wish the chapters were longer or more in-depth and focused less on retellings from other books, but it was an interesting enough overview of the Bridgewater Triangle for someone that lives inside of it🔺

Despite living around this area for most of my life I had never heard of this phrase or phenomenon. For those that don't know the Bridgewater Triangle is located in South Shore or southeastern Massachusetts. I do enjoy local history and folklore so I had looked forward to reading this. I had also recently viewed a recently made documentary on the area too. It covers all the local legendary haunts and myths. Much of it is second hand witness accounts or just stories that grew as they were passed around. I normally keep an open mind about paranormal stuff but even I was skeptical of many of the stories. Is there really a "Bridgewater Triangele"? I'm very skeptical of it. It seemed just a collection of stories or legends just gathered from a particular region. It was hard for me to believe the area is any more prone to paranormal activity than other places. I thought the writing content could have been trimmed downed also. Many times I noticed wording and descriptions over embellished and prone to over doing it in descriptions which didn't help me believe the stories any more. I noticed some editing and spelling mistakes. It made for tedious reading at times. Overall I did enjoy it and it was fun read. I recommend it for those interested in local(Massachusetts,New England) folklore and history.
