Gabriele Torrente

“Mr. Torrente? You should come down here.” Little did I know when I walked down those stairs, my life would change in ways I couldn’t begin to fathom.

“Mom told Grandma you’re our dad…” Those words spoken by a seven-year-old boy nearly had me flat on my back on the floor. I’d been careful all my life when it came to sex as a bisexual man. When I was with women, I wore a condom and pulled out to be extra safe. With guys? I wore a condom. There should have been no way I was a father, but the little boy with the glasses handed me a picture of myself embracing a woman in my arms that possibly told a different story.
When a handsome man came speeding into the Victorian where the offices of my security firm, Golden Elite Associates-America, LLC, were housed, I was speechless at the sight of him.

He was a dancer. He was beautiful and funny and infuriating. He was leaving town to work on a cruise ship that made eight trips a month between New York and Bermuda. He was trying to get me to admit I was the father of two adorable kids. His name was Dexter Carrington.

What the hell happened to my normal life?

##

Dexter Carrington

I received a call from my mother that she had my niece and nephew living with her for the summer because my sister, a mediocre hair stylist from Jersey City, had taken a job that would require her to travel. I lived six blocks from my mother, and my sister never visited. It made no sense, but I went over to my mother’s house to spend time with two little people I barely knew.

I auditioned for last-chance jobs on Broadway because at twenty-something-too-old, and my options were beyond limited. I got a part-time job at a gay club as a dancer to supplement my income while I still auditioned for everything available. I finally landed a job working as an entertainer on a cruise ship with a six-month contract to help my mother care for my niece and nephew while my sister…who hated my gay ass…disappeared.

I received a call from a social worker informing me my mother was dead, and my niece and nephew were about to go into foster care. I worked a deal with Social Services to take the kids until we could identify their father, which my mother had already hired an investigator to find based on a photo in a box of crap my sister gave her in the event she didn’t return.
The man was handsome. He owned his own business. He would need to step up to the plate to take care of his children because I was never cut out to be a father, and I had no way of getting in touch with my sister. They needed the stability the man offered because I couldn’t provide the same.

He was a wedding photographer. He carried a gun. He looked nothing like my niece or nephew. His name was Gabriele Torrente.

What the hell happened to my normal life?

Please Note: This book contains material which may be offensive to some readers. It includes graphic language, violence, a brief description of child abuse (past tense), and/or adult situations and descriptions of sexual activity between two, consenting adult males. This fictional story is intended for adults over 18, is approximately 102,000 words in length, and doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. It is the second book in the series entitled, “The Lonely Heroes Series.” Each book can be read alone or as part of the series. I hope you enjoy them.

I grew up in the rural Midwest before moving to the East Coast with a dashing young man who swept me off my feet, and we've now settled in the desert of Nevada. I write M/M contemporary romance, subgenres: sweet low angst, age-gap, cowboys, mysteries, and military/mercenary to name a few. I am a firm believer in "Love is Love" regardless of how it presents itself, and I'm a staunch ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.

I have a loving, supportive family, and I feel blessed by the universe and thankful every day for all I have been given. I’m old enough to know how to have fun, but too old to care what others think about my definition of a good time. In my heart and soul, I believe I hit the cosmic jackpot. Cheers!

I really went into this story with high hopes. I absolutely adored book 1 of this series. Unfortunately, I can't say the same of this one. Dex came off as a selfish asshole from the beginning, and he just rubbed me the wrong way. He got better, but I just didn't like him. Gabby was a grunting testosterone filled bully. His character was just all over the place. He went from tender, to a rage filled killer the next. There were way too many characters in the book, and I had a really hard time keeping up. There were also times when the wrong names were used, which didn't help the issue. It didn't help that the plot was a convoluted mess. I really had to push through to finish. I really hope the next is better. However, I have liked all the other books I've read by this author, so I will count this as an oddball of the bunch.

Gabe is thirty-nine, he works at GEA-America, as a personal protection professional, a bodyguard.
One day there are two young kids, about seven and four years, at his office Dylan Carrington, and his sister, Searcy. Gabe is stunned when they tell him he is their father and their mother, Imogen, is missing.
Their uncle, twenty-seven-year-old Dexter Carrington who’s btw a gorgeous man, is with them. The man is a dancer with a gig on a cruise, he has to find his sister or the kids' dad so he can leave for his job. Unfortunately, Gabe has to tell them it’s impossible he’d the dad.
He can promise to find their mom and sister.
Dexter’s sister was a homophobic woman who bullied Dexter because he’s gay.
They have two weeks before the kids will go into the foster system.

What follows is the search for Imogen. It’s a rollercoaster of events. All intriguing and quite dangerous. Gabe has many helpful connections. On this journey, Gabe and Dex get close before they weren’t. Gabe was quite the big bear who wasn’t afraid of anything, except maybe Dex or the kids got hurt. Gabe has a big team of people who all helped with the case. Guns, bullets, dead bodies, kidnapping, safe-houses, family drama, you name it, it’s there. There’s also some sweet and sexy time, thank you!
Just when I thought I could breathe there was danger again.
To be honest I had a bit of trouble with all that came on to me. Many different characters are involved and a lot is happening. My head was spinning.
The plot was great put together, complicated and intriguing maybe a bit on the long side. At some point, I thought it was ready but there was more.
The story is super fast-paced, full of action, had a romance and was entertaining, when I finished I was exhausted but satisfied!

Okay, so I’m coming in on book 2 and didn’t read book one, but I hear of children and a single dad and I have to give it a shot, right? Hot dads, they’re kinda my thing… In saying that, I’ve got to say, I did not care for Gabe one bit and he never really redeemed himself for me. He was high handed and judgmental and there were a couple of times that I wanted to smack both him and Dexter for the way they treated the kids and each other… Gabe was very hot and cold, in my opinion and I understand that he was thrust into this situation that he wasn’t ready for and never planned for, but still.. sometimes it just didn’t sit right for me. I really felt for the kids and they were just adorable and sweet throughout the whole thing.

Now, when Dexter’s mom dies, he get saddled with his sisters kids and a work obligation means he can’t take them with him, so it’s either find their mother, who is who knows where, (she was a homophobic witch and I didn’t care at all if she was ever found)….or the kids’ dad, who they believe is Gabe. I will say that I did love how protective Gabe is with anyone he cares about and try as he may to not get roped in, he did….and he did care for the kids, and pretty quickly, for Dexter too. They had good chemistry most of the time, but when it wasn’t, it just really wasn.t

There is also so many people to remember, extended family and whatnot and so much going on. I feel like this could’ve been stretched for two or even three books and it would’ve been a more enjoyable read but everything was just so packed in and it was one thing after another and just when you thought things were going to be okay, something else gets thrown in and upends everything and it was just exhausting LOL I’m not a big fan of angst, I don’t feel like I’m emotionally stable enough to handle a whole lot, even with fictional people, but it definitely had me flippin pages almost faster than I could read them. If you like that sort of thing and fast-paced, action from beginning to end kind of reads, you’ll likely really like this one. It felt like it could’ve been a movie… though if it was, there’s no way it would’ve gotten everything in one movie. It was a lot.

The ending was cute and I was happy for the kids, who were my favorite part of the whole story, but I would’ve liked to have seen Gabe redeem himself a little more… I just never warmed up to him. He had amazing qualities, like he was very protective and his alpha-like personality would’ve been hot, if he wasn’t so high handed and cold… but, all was well that ended well. I’m happy the kids were happy.

I really enjoyed reading the second book in the Lonely Heros series by Sam E.Kraemer it was so good. I have been working for my Uncle's security firm since I got out of the military and now I'm head of the US division. When I got a call about seeing a new client little did I know how much this was going to change my life, although I am not the father to Dylan and his younger sister Searcy,  I'm more then willing to help them search for their missing mother and maybe even find their missing father, especially after meeting their gorgeous Uncle Dexter. Now to figure out how to how to make this all come together and get back to my normal life, but is it really what I want or the possibility of something more.

This was one hell of a fantastic, grab-you-by-the-feels, wild, poignant, powerful, intense, raw, gritty, crazy, nail biting, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, emotionally charged, more twists and turns than a roller coaster, steamy, intriguing and totally awesome tale. I was hooked from beginning to end, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Guardian Gabe is the second book in Sam Kraemer's Lonely Heroes series and is an addition that I enjoyed reading.
Gabriele is in for the surprise of a lifetime when two children turn up at his office claiming that he is their father, quickly followed by the punch of attraction for their uncle who soon runs in after them. Dexter and Gabe, whilst working to solve several mysteries that involve the two children, Dylan and Searcy, and their mother, Dexter's sister, Imogen. There's a fair bit to keep track of as we move through the story and everything to do with that kind of ebbs and flows so we have a big dose of action with Gabe and his team involved before moving onto the possible relationship between Gabe and Dexter before going back to the action. It keeps the story flowing and allows all of the different characters involve to connect, whether for good or bad. When it's going well for them, Gabe and Dex work so well and are hot together but neither has ever been in a relationship before, Gabe especially determinedly avoiding them, but there's not always the communication needed to make the other person know what you mean or are thinking. Gabe does tend to take a heavy hand with his ideas and actions but as an ex Army Ranger and coming to care strongly for three special people, he just wants to keep them safe and the best for them. Dexter doesn't start off as the most stable of guardians, with everything thrown at him at once it's completely understandable, but he learns and grows through the book becoming the responsible adult that is needed by those two young children.
I love the members of Gabe's team, each with a great personality and right there the moment that Dexter, Dylan or Searcy need them. Also, getting occasional interaction with MC's from Ranger Hank was nice as a little catch up and continuing to see the strong relationship between the Army brothers. Gabe's family could have their own sitcom with what goes on with them as well, once we're introduced to everyone!
I really enjoyed all aspects of this book. The relationship took time to build, building trust and learning to trust emotions whilst the mystery and criminal aspect took many turns, some expected and some not. I liked how the story ended as well, bringing the family and readers closure after everything that goes on. There is a lot to take in from both aspects of the book so it can take a moment to take in all the information at some points.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

As in the first book of the series, there is a LOT going on in this book. Plenty of people around that one may or may not remember for future references.
I loved this book more than the first one, but I wasn't really a fan of Dexter in the beginning. He was whining and selfish and it would only way much later be clear why he had so much trouble to connect to his sister's children.
Gabby, who works for the American branch of his uncle's Italian business, is addressed by an seven year old Dylan and his four year old sister Searcy. They claim that he is their father and want him to look for their missing mother. With a teaser like that I had to read it. Turns out though that the story is waaaayyy more complicated than that. So please hold on to your hats, because that is a pretty weird roller coaster ride right until the end.
The book needs a long list of trigger warnings that include mutilated bodies and drug abuse as well as sexual abuse of a child/of children off the page.
I enjoyed that Gabriele, who comes from a large family, puts the people he comes to love before everything else. He and his team are intrigued by the accusation of him being the father of Dylan and Searcy, knowing that he isn't and he can prove it. So he makes sure that Dex, Dylan and Searcy are safe and starts looking for clues of where the missing mother Imogen might be and he starts with the man in the picture he can identify as someone he knows from his past.
Dexter is a 27 year old dancer, pretty much at the end of his career, if one can call it that. He just got himself a gig on a cruise ship when he is informed that his mother died and he has two weeks to find his sister, the mother of his nephew Dylan and niece Searcy, before they get turned over into the foster care system. Turns out he is totally over his head in this family drama as he learns that he didn't really know his sister or her kids and that he wasn't even aware of his own mother's health problems.
I am glad that in the end all the lose ends are getting tied up together, even though the danger for Dylan and Searcy won't go away for a while. So reading the next couple of books may or may not shed light on that one.

This story is one to read in silence, there is so much going on that it will take total concentration to absorb.

Gabriele is a former Ranger who spent years in the military, he is a total badass with skills on skills.
Dexter is a sweetheart who has spent his life aspiring to become a famous dancer, if only he knew what was about to happen to those wishes...
Then we have the totally adorable children Dylan and Searce, these two become the center of this whole calamity, you cannot help but fall in love with them.

This story is a never ending roller coaster ride, so much happens to so many people that you can never rest. At the heart is a missing mother, and the why, when and how's just keep coming. Up until the end, just as I thought everything has settled someone else would explode into their lives again. There are too many characters that keep you guessing as to who they really are, and are they good or evil, yeah, concentrate...

There are Gabriele's former military brothers, who would take a bullet for each other.
His own band of security employees, each with their own expertise who would do everything to protect.
Loads of bad/maybe good agents that keep you on your toes.
And a huge loving, outspoken and interfering Italian family, expect fireworks, for sure.

I felt that this book was a bit too long with too many characters. I enjoyed the chasing scenes and the level of angst kept me gripped, I wanted to know how the story would end. Like I said, as long as you can keep up with the names you will enjoy the story.

At the heart of it all, what this book is all about is, FAMILY!

At the onset, you are readily exposed to a few number of characters, some new and some recurring from the first book. We have Gabe and his team, then and now, then we have the two adorable children, Dylan and Searcy Carrington who are looking for their missing Mom. They were told that their father was Gabe, although Gabe immediately squashes that thought with a very viable explanation.

And then, there is Dexter Carrington, the 27-year old Uncle who was left floundering after dealing with the death of his mother and realizing that he is now the sole guardian of his nephew and niece, unless he finds their mother or their father.

When Gabe learned about his supposed fatherhood and immediately dealing with it with the truth, he is now left with the promise of finding the truth about the real father and why would these children's mother said that he is the father, after he finds her. Although he has to do it in two weeks or the two children will be put into foster care because their Uncle just signed a dancing gig contract on a cruise (he got accepted and signed the contract before everything else happened).

What follows is a rollercoaster of events and information that will make your head spin. I must say, though, that the storyline is outstanding. I guess it just needs to be streamlined in such a way that not too many side characters are introduced all at once, maybe leave a little breathing space in between action-packed scenes. Overall, a good follow-up to book one.

It’s all about family! Romantic, steamy, thrilling mafia-almost, bodyguard M/M
Yes, it is steamy, romantic and a thrilling escapade but so much more. Family becomes the most important element. To Gabe Torrente family is his brothers-in-arms from his Ranger days or his crazy outrageous biological family or the sweet affection he finds with Dex, Dylan and Searcy. Gabriele the proverbial 39yo playboy who plays both sides, finally finds love with Dexter and his sweet children. Dexter the 27yo dancer who’s waiting for his big break to Broadway, suddenly finds himself caring for his niece and nephew. His sister Imogen has a lot to account for and Dex doesn’t even know the full extent yet.
There are twists and turns. Just when I thought we should be seeing their HEA, there was another hitch. Such a thrilling roller coaster ride of a story. I loved how every time Gabe or Dex need something or someone, suddenly that person/persons appear. Wonderful ending too. I’ll admit that I’m a softie and cried in several parts because the writing brought these characters to life for me. I loved the first book, RANGER HANK too so I’m truly looking forward to the third book, COWBOY SHEP. I volunteered to review this book for the author and feel privileged to be asked. If you like M/M romance with steam, thrills, chills and some soft spots, read this book!

In a broad sense this was an excellent story. In my narrower sensibilities, it was a very violent book and very busy. I know bodyguard books are action packed, so don't go there because I expected that and actually looked forward to it...but, this book had almost every negative human activity known to man. Let's see. There was kidnapping...more than once, murder, human mutilation, at least two mentions of suicide, a gross young adult, two children with no parents and in danger, a selfish uncle, attempted murder, emotional trauma, drug dealing and cartel activity, two dreadful, selfish parents working for said drug cartel, child sexual abuse on a mentally handicapped child and one of the two main children, revenge in a most violent fashion and a slimy head cartel person slithering out from under the judicial system. Now another complaint. There were TOO many characters. There were a ton of them some having nicknames. So sometimes real names were used and other times their nicknames. This made it hard to keep these characters in order. Dexter is the selfish uncle who finally concedes to his love of his niece and nephew. Gabe is the self appointed guardian of these three people. All are good characters and I enjoyed them mostly, but Dex had to grow on me. So I gave this story three stars for the author not letting you know what was between these pages. Trigger warnings please!

Action action action!

This story is action packed. Just when you think it settles down... another bullet flies.

I have to say at the beginning I think Gabe gave Dexter a hard time. My head was hurting at how he was hot and cold and so judgemental!

Dex had been through a lot and Gabe was pretty jerky, especially for being such a love em and leave em kind of guy.

And Gabe fell for Dex and kids awfully fast and with not having a lot of time together. BUT, after that I totally got into the story. It was super good with the disappearing sister, drug deal gone wrong and just who is the kids Daddy???

It all comes together happily in the end. I liked this book more than Ranger Hank.. I do think some of the detail could be pared down and nicknames should either be used at all times or only full name someone when they're in trouble. It hard to keep up with who is who. Those are my only picky observations :p great read

I enjoy Sam E. Kraemer's stories because they are packed with interesting ideas, a clearly planned plot, and wonderful characters. Kraemer's characters are unique, and I always learn something new when I read about them. The romance is about more than just the two people making a connection. Family is a part of the romance too. The attraction tends to be quick, but the romance evolves with every page.

I would like to see a little less detail in certain places. It's great to know that the guns are locked up in a safe, but adding the details of the how and why slow the story down a bit more than necessary. The slow down is a bit more obvious when you are listening to the narration. Michael Ferriauolo's performance is wonderful and his narration is a lovely addition to a very sweet romance.

I enjoyed listening to the his story, and I may not be able to wait for the next audiobook to continue this series.

The book has been updated since and this review is on the new edition out today

I really enjoyed Gabby's story. He and Dexter were great together and had chemistry. Gabe has a massive family so it was a little difficult to keep those characters right in my head, especially when added to the agency's cast.
The pacing and the addition of flashback scenes was a little bumpy, but the story and characters made up for that.
For such a loving guy, Dexter did say a couple of off things, in particular about his sister (who he did have reason to be upset at) and poor little Brock.
Gabe could be a little heavy handed at times and some of his actions didn't quite sit right with me.
Like book 1, this felt like it could be two books to allow the romance part to flourish, but it hooked me and I can't wait for Shep's story

My Big Fat Torrente (Italian) Wedding

This book is awesome! It's a rom-com with intrigue, suspense, and action. Rich imagery and myriad strong characters, this story hits all the right marks. It even uses characters from the previous book, "Ranger Hank."

Security expert Gabriele Torrente is wrongly named as the father of 7-year-old Dylan and 4-year-old Searcy. That's when Dexter Carrington, uncle to the two darling children. Bisexual Gabriele is immediately smitten by Dexter.

But when Gabby finds Dexter exotic/erotic dancing at a gay nightclub, he hauls Dexter over his shoulder and takes him away from his sleazy boss and nightclub.

So begins the intrigue and suspense. And in comes the various colorful characters.

This is a very good story and I thoroughly and highly recommend it.

Omg. I adored this next book in the series.

Dexters life is turned upside down and inside out, his mother passes away unexpectedly, he gains surpervision of his sisters kids. Someone threatens to kill them and he has to try to find their father.

A misunderstanding leads them to Gabby, who, with one look, is surprisingly brought to his knees by his own private dancer, and two adorable kids

As Gabe puts it, there is drama non stop with the Torrentes family, they attract it. Though the Carringtons do a good job to rival it.

My only issue, was how Dexter spoke about Brock, when they asked if he could join the family, I understand why it was a bad idea, and Gabe offers a better one. But the read of it was a little harsh, after everything Brock went through. That is my only complaint.

Be prepared. This one kicks up the danger big time. We met Gabe in the previous book and we will see some familiar faces here as well. I think I know the real reason they call him Gabby. The man even gabs in his thoughts lol. Seriously, you do get a lot of information but it has a purpose. When Gabe meets Dexter it throws both of their lives in a spin. With Dexter and his niece snd nephew in danger, Gabe is going to need his team, his band of brothers, and his family to keep them safe while they figure out what is really going on. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book. This one has some dark moments and it will stir up many of your emotions. A very good read and I look forward to reading the next one.

I didn't start from book 1. This one caught my eye.

Different like night and day. Drama. Killing. Gun fire and more drama. Dexter is a dancer looking for that one big break before he has to retire. Gabe is ex military and running a business that is a cover. There a little boy and girl who has seen a lot of life for how young they are but they keep their innocence. They are who end up bringing these two men together. They are actually tie this group of people together to keep them safe of the evil that lurks outside their door. Can't seem to trust anyone who you thought were your friends. Family involvement and opinions get in the way but they push through. And become a family.

Read this as part of an omnibus of the first three novels. This one suffered terribly from poor editing. I know it's difficult to write large families and keep everyone ordered, but someone should have proofread this before publishing. Sisters are switched around, there are even times the main characters are switched. All of this made me go back and re-read what I had read to make sure I could keep it correct in my mind. I love stories with lots of characters, but you have to do it well or it can ruin the story. The only reason I didn't give this a lower rating was that the ideas in the story were handled well (for the most part) and Gabe and Dex are engrossing. I really cared about them and the hell they're going through.

Gabe Torrente is a playboy who never wanted to settle down. He runs the US security firm for his uncle by day and hooks up with different men by night. What gabe thought was just another day at the office turns his life upside down. Two little kids come to see him thinking he’s their father and that’s when he meets Dexter the children’s uncle. From that day gabe and dexter will do anything to keeps those kids safe. This is a story of mystery, trauma, danger, a huge Italian family and lots of chemistry in between. This book will make you laugh and cry but in the end it’s a beautiful love story. It is a must read.

Gabe is a mercenary and is fearless. Dexter is trying to take care of his niece and nephew after his mom passed and don't know where his sister is. The moment they meet they are instantly attracted to each other and Gabe is very protective of Dexter. There's so many twists and turns in the story that you have to keep reading to make sure that you don't miss anything. I love the kids, Gabe crew and how they all stick together to protect the kids. The book is romantic, funny, some very intense moments, angst, action-pack, likeable characters and the sexy times are hot. Looking forward to the next book.

A fun procedural

Plot: Instalove, action, mystery, main plot was enjoyably CSI-like
Feels: I felt that the romance took a back seat to all the action in this story, especially for the development of Gabe and Dex’s relationship
Drama: The last plotpoint with the foster home was extra
Heat: 2/5
Characters: It was hard to connect with Gabe and Dex as a couple, but the kids were cute
Pacing: Action-packed, some of the flashback scenes interrupted the flow of the story, especially in the last two chapters (kind of like enjoying a dream only to get shocked out of it by that one crazy loud snore lol)
Length: Could have been less that one extra plot
Ending: HEA

Phew the chemistry! Gabby and Dexter have so much angst and steam between them. This is my second book by Sam E. Kraemer and I'm in absolute love.

There were so many twists and turns throughout this whole book that I was never bored. I would recommend reading this book in the moments where you are able to focus and not be pulled in different directions. This is definitely a book that you don't want to miss a single moment. Two kids, sexy times, belly laughs and gunfights.

This was great and I cannot wait to continue the story!

Guardian Gabe is full of action from the very beginning. I liked the plot of the story and even enjoyed the characters but I struggled to connect with the writing. I feel like there was so much going on outside of Gabe and Dex’s relationship that it took away from them as a couple. Their love wasn’t believable to me. They met and then it seemed like they were in love before they even knew each other. While I’m okay with insta-love, I felt like there was a lack in depth when it came to just them and their relationship without the outside distractions. Overall, this was just an okay read for me.

This book was a bit of a miss for me. While I enjoyed the premise of Gabe as a protector meeting Dexter, who from the beginning, had a chip on his shoulder. It took me a while to warm up to Dexter, all the while they both set out to solve a mystery. There are many secondary characters, sometimes confusing the story, especially using the wrong name. Also, there is so much action going on that you don't get enough character development, and in the end, the relationship doesn't feel strong enough between Gabe and Dexter. In the end, an action packed story with a lot of characters, but lacking a bit on the romance arc.

The second in the Lonely Heroes series. I kind of loved the first so, I read the second and I was clearly taken with the ide of these men looking out for their hearts.

In this tale, Gabe, the head of a securities company GEA-A (the American company that Gabe's family runs in Italy) is pulled into a mystery when two children come to his office and claim they are his children. That's when he meets Dexter, their uncle and the mystery begins.

This is a romp around the US. Drugs, kidnapping, high stakes security, trouble around every corner and Gabe undying need to keep Dexter and the kids safe while falling madly in love with all three.

Sweet and full of tension as well.

Another long and involved (dare I say convoluted) story in this series. I am really drawn to these stories and really like the characters and the situations they find themselves in, however I have to wonder why two people can get into so many scrapes at the same time? And with seeming inhuman skills and powers, they just get out of them. Some of the situations are explored deeply and are very satisfying when the end comes, but some are finished off-stage in a matter of minutes! I just found it frustrating.
I listened to the audiobook and have to say that Michael Ferraiuolo who I just love and can listen too read anything does his very best with this one and is a joy to listen to.

I seriously loved Ranger Hank but this one I felt was even better! Dexter’s mother has dies and his sister has disappeared, so he’s left with the care of her two kids, Dylan and Searcy. So he goes looking for their father Gabriele Torrente. Gabe has been extremely careful and knows that the kids are not his. He’s willing to help find their father. Lots of drama, action, suspense and steam fill the pages. Such a good story, highly recommend! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy I received.
