A graduate of Ohio State University School of Journalism, Sherryl spent more than ten years as a journalist, most of them as a television critic for newspapers in Ohio and Florida. For several years she also coordinated a motivational program for the more than 8,000 employees at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
Her first book, RESTORING LOVE, was published in 1982 by Dell Candlelight Ecstasy under the pseudonym of Suzanne Sherrill. Her second book, SAND CASTLES, under the pseudonym of Alexandra Kirk, was published later that same year by Bantam. She began using her own name when she moved to the Second Chance at Love line at Berkley Publishing. In 1986, she began writing full-time and also began her long career at Silhouette Books with the Desire title NOT AT EIGHT, DARLING, set in the world of television which she covered for so many years.
In addition to her more than 75 romances for Silhouette Desire and Special Edition, she has written thirteen mysteries — nine in the Amanda Roberts series and four in the Molly DeWitt series.
When she's not writing or reading, Sherryl loves to garden, though she's not at her best on a riding lawn mower. She also loves tennis, theater, and ballet, even though her top spin has long since vanished, she's never set foot on a stage, and she's way too uncoordinated to dance. She also loves baseball and claims anyone who's ever seen Kevin Costner in "Bull Durham" can understand why.

DNF'd, although I did listen to the entire story of the 1st book. I do like Sherryl Woods, but book #1 was kinda ridiculous! Like who goes away for 10 whole years and just decides you're going to marry your high school sweetheart (that you didn't keep in contact with, were never in love with and now he has a fiancée)? She was really considering how she could get with him, even after finding out he was engaged! On top of the fact that she was just awful! Judgmental, talked to people any old kind of way, just an overall unlikable heroine. Right up there with the awful chick from Ice Breaker, Stassi or whatever her name was! I HATED that entire book, so...
Book #2, the narrator sounds like Siri and not in a good way! Like a back in the day robotic voice. I just couldn't go on, sigh.
Book #3 is about a pastor and I'm sorry, but I DO NOT want to read a romance about a man of the cloth! No thanks! And that's coming from someone who's married to a pastor. Romance and religion in books just doesn't do it for me.

I’d say it’s a little better than book 2 but still pretty bad. I just don’t feel that a book with women lusting after a minister is appropriate at all. I didn’t want to hear about how this minister looked without a shirt on and in tight jeans. Gross! I know he’s a man and human after all but it just gave me the…I don’t even know how to describe it. I guess it made me guilty just reading it. DNF and have now added this author to my “never again” list!
Shame that you can’t come up with a better story line than that. I hate I paid my hard earned money for this trilogy.

This sweet trilogy of books was a nice summer read (actually I enjoyed the audio books) which I listened to while working in the yard or doing my charity crocheting!
