I have no words for this freaking perfection. The perfect blend of Dramione, Veela Draco, post-war, unique couples, freaking hilarious, humor doesn't end, emotions, plot twists, relationships, family and friends. I will definitely be rereading this.

This fic wasn't what I expected. It started off as a Veela fic but added too many plot and characters in it that it lost it's tone. Draco still is a Veela and Hermione still is his mate but instead of focusing on their relationship and Hermione coming to terms with it, the focus shifts on so many other characters.

We have Harry and his relationship with Ginny. Ron and his failed relationship with Hermione and later with Daphne. Narcissa being a drunken/spinster aunt with her sister and Andromeda's relationship with Snape. We have Molly and Arthur who honestly are the most in character, characters. Of course, we have all the Weasley siblings who appear in this fic and who all end up being paired off with someone and last but not least, we have the handfull of students that returned to Hogwarts to finish their education.
I actually think that the only person who remained single in this fic is McGonagall.

To be completely honest, I didn't mind the characters that appeared in this fic. I actually loved all of them and found them really funny. I just felt that the story shifted alot from the Dramione pairing and from the Veela plot. We focused more on all the other characters and their relationships then we did with Hermione and Draco as a couple but halfway throught, I even forgot that Draco was a Veela.
Of course the fic included them in all the story but their relationship wasn't the main focus, the Weasley's and their S/O were.

The plot had alot potentiall and I loved the idea that Draco endured everything he did, all in order to protect Hermione. I am also a sucker for Veela fic, so I was disappointed that the Veela aspect of the story was pushed in the backround.

Let me start by making clear that this is by no means a bad piece of fanfiction. The writing is decent, the characterization is strong, and there was clearly a lot of effort put into this piece. Im just putting this review out there so other readers won’t be waylaid by what I feel was a misleading description.

This is not a Dramione fic. This is more of a rambling slice-of-life, fix-it, everyone ends up happy and paired off romantically kind of fic. Snape is redeemed. Draco is redeemed. Ron is not bashed. Narcissa and Molly are both equally lovely mothers.

Though the sprawling cast of characters was enjoyable, as was all the time the author spent savoring their relative peaceful happiness and tranquil family time at the Burrow, while they humorously work through growing up and generally light hearted emotional problems, I can seen why some have described this fic as ‘bland.' There is no major action, soaring romance, or edge-of-you-seat adventure or anything of that regard. As to how someone can read over 50 chapters, (or in my case, 95) and still think its bland, I would shrug my shoulders and refer you to the sunk-cost fallacy.

3.5-4.0* Very well written story, yet I wish for some things in the story to be different
I really enjoyed reading it, yet I felt that sometimes it lacked magic to make me really excited, although it made me curious,

+ enjoyable reading => i really wanted to read more and more
+ short chapters => easy to read
+ very good opening (loved that Draco got hurt and Hermione took care of him)
+ amazing work done on relationship with Draco and other characters, author put a lot of effort in expanding stories of side characters
+ great idea with new vision and Snape´s role in the story

- surprised how Ron´s family easily accepted Draco´s family without bad blood (expected more grudge, rifts)
- didnt get to know much about Veela (I really hoped to get to know more about Draco´s condition)
- hoped for more turning points, dramatic events - the storytelling was more down to Eaerth
- ending wasnt very satisfying
- I would prefer if different events lead to the first sex
- once they had sex, Dramione wasnt in the spotlight
I dont know, I felt that I needed much more to feel that the story of Dramione is complete
- the final battle - could be cut, as it was too easily put to end

I can see where people enjoy this one. For me, I loved the banter but a bit too much of it was unrealistic for me. There is a huge dynamic between two different generations that I think could be totally realistic outside of Harry Potter.

But regardless, I think the story was adorable, I loved the pairings and flirting between so many different sets.

I really loved the concept of the story and overall plot, but the pacing seemed really off at times. New plots being introduced within the last 75% and then all addressed and resolved within a chapter or 2 was odd, but I enjoyed it nonetheless

DNF. Not particularly problematic but just wasn’t doing it for me.
