The birth of a writer who has never been! [Humor of the Day] Kim Dong-siks novels (3 volumes), which received many responses from the horror bulletin board, were published. The writer posted on the bulletin almost every day stories that had been in my head for many years in my head while working in a factory for 10 years. Kim Dong - sik s novels (all 3 volumes) are composed of 66 short stories among 300 short novels. The strange situation that suddenly unfolds, and the behavior of the human being corresponding to it, are unfolding in unexpected direction and let it fall into the story. They are lightly read like jokes, but they have charms that make them chew for a while.

English title: Grey human (or it could also mean grey person)
This is a short story collection which are mostly set in near future Korean society or in a dystopian setting. The stories are extraordinary, clever, creative and provide entertainment and shock at the same time. What needs to be said is that the author never learnt to write professionally and he also didn't attend any university at all. By practice, he learned to write these original stories by his own which is remarkable to say the least. Of course, his narrative style is not as polished as we are used but I love the roughness of each sentence and speech of every character.
His stories incorporate many different themes of every day life. Religion, cooperation in a society or the non-existence of it, stupidness of human intelligence and media influence.
Even though I didn't like all stories, I particularly liked the stories where a human can choose a wish to come true by God. There was one which used the idea of Pinocchio with a surprising outcome and another one where a wish of an individual causes an outcome which no one could have predicted. Unfortunately, I can't tell much without revealing all the details. With a bit of more editing work, this would do great on the international book market, I'm sure of that.
기대없이 읽었고 생각보다 엄청 재밌게 너무 빨리 읽게된 책.
완벽하지 않아서 더 좋았고 기발하고 풍부한 아이디어로 읽는 재미를 줘서 감사한 마음이 크다.
어떻게 보면 발칙한 상상을 너무나도 당연하게 담담하게 내뱉듯이 이야기를 꾸려나가는 모습이 너무나도 대단하고, 정말 필요한 부분만 언급하여 나머지는 독자한테 맡기는 것이 대담한 것인데. 그만큼 자신만의 이야기와 세계관에 가치를 알고, 독자를 믿는 것으로 보인다. 조금만 더 다듬으면 엄청난 작품들이 탄생할 느낌이 들며 앞으로의 소설이 기대된다. 물론 회색인간도 이미 대단한 작품이지만 이제 경우 뚜껑을 열었다는 기분이 들어, 오랜만이 책을 읽으며 대단한 작가를 만난 기분에 들떠있어 오늘은 기분 좋은 날이다.

A thought-provoking, satirical of society and human nature, creative, and plot-twisting book of novel. This book makes me want to venture out his other works.
