This was book 6 in "The Pink Cupcake Mysteries" . Amelia’s cupcake business is more popular than ever, but between running the Pink Cupcake and making catering orders, she is burnt out. As she and Lila look to hire an assistant, they hear a customer has died after slipping and falling off a roof. While investigating the fall Amelia meets some interesting characters such as Bud an enthusiastic follower of UFOs. In this book we learn more about Lila we also see less of the kids. We also see her relationship with Dan grow which I was happy to see John is still a jerk. He wants the kids to live with him because he doesn't want to pay child support I don't like him. I love reading this series and the characters. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series

This is the sixth book in the Pink Cupcake Mystery series and it was absolutely wonderful. I loved the storyline and it had just the right amount of mystery in it to keep you interested and wanting to know the outcome. I read most of it in one evening and finished it the next afternoon.

Amelia is drawn into investigating the untimely death of a newly married young man who seems to have died in a suspicious fall. Along the way she meets some interesting characters such as Bud an enthusiastic follower of UFOs and SETI. Of course, her handsome detective boyfriend Dan is there to investigate and help Amelia, as needed. There is also Lila her dear friend and co-worker in the Pink Cupcake truck who offers advice and help. And of course, there is John her lousy ex-husband who is trying to cause problems. He wants if her children, Adam and Meg, want to live with him and his new wife. He doesn’t really want the children but he doesn’t want to pay Amelia as much alimony and if the children live with him he could accomplish this. He also wants to know how much Amelia makes with her business in order to cut his payments. All this in order to give more money to his new wife. Like I said – he is a #1 louse.

Amelia and Lila are busy working the food truck and doing a really good job with it. Amelia's ex-husband, John will be back from his honeymoon with his new bride in about a week. Amelia has enjoyed his being gone, the '50 questions' about how she is doing financially is driving her nuts. He thinks she is wasting her time and money on that food truck and now she and Lila are doing catering. Amelia is getting very burnt out from all the work. Then Luann Jameson, the richest woman in town hires Amelia to bring cupcakes to her home for her son in law's wake. He fell off her roof and died. This is where things start to get rather messed up. Luann refuses to pay Amelia and said she ordered 110 cupcakes, not 100 therefore Amelia did not provide her with the complete order so no services rendered....no payment. Amelia is not going to put up with this nonsense! She goes after Luann and finds some pretty interesting things. What you may ask? Read the book to find out. I voluntarily read an ARC of this story. The review is my own opinion

This is the sixth book about Amelia Hardy and her pink cupcake truck. With each month that passes, Amelia and Lila are doing better and better with the business. Good thing because Amelia's ex-husband has just gotten married to a bit of a greedy money grabber, and the ex has requested a reduction in alimony because wife #2 wants more. Meanwhile I am constantly impressed that Amelia maintains a surface of dignity towards her ex, and continues to keep from bad mouthing him in front of or to her children.

A brutal murder, a colorful neighbor who is worried about aliens and men-in-black, and Amelia helping Detective Dan all make another good book about murder and the cupcake truck way of life. You won't want to miss the latest story in the series...and the recipes in the back of the book! Yum!

This is book 6 in the Pink Cupcake Mysteries. It can be read as a standalone, but you will not want to miss any of Amelia's adventures and great cupcake recipes.
After Amelia's divorce from her unfaithful husband, she lands on her feet by starting a Food Truck business "The Pink Cupcake." While raising her two teenage children and managing her cupcake business with her new friend Lila things are looking up. A relationship of sorts with Detective Dan has made things interesting. Business is good. When Amelia takes a last minute phone order for cupcakes from a very wealthy woman, strange things begin happening. A marriage, a strange neighbor and vandalism makes this story very interesting. And don't forget the great recipes in every book! I was given and advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another wonderfully enjoyable addition to the Pink Cupcake Mysteries series. I always snatch up a copy of the newest book within a day or two of release and read it just as quickly. Amelia is such a great protagonist: she's strong but not cold, she's fiery but not a hothead, and she's loving without being a pushover. She's come such a long way and the issue she goes through with her ex in this story really broke my heart for her.

There's less of the kids in this one but it equals out with more from Dan and Lila. Amelia's relationships with them both have come a long way through the series and her romance with Dan warms my heart. This is the first book that we get a good dose of Lila's backstory as well which I was really excited to see.

I already can't wait for Book 7!

I love all of Harper's books. This is one of my favorite series that she writes. You can read any of the books as a standalone, but you will have lots of fun if you start from book 1 and read all the way to this one (#6). Amelia owns the cutest and very popular cupcake food truck....her ex is a louse that tries to take their kids away (she has primary custody but he and his new wife want them). She has a budding romance with a policeman and she tends to get into a lot of trouble. This one starts when LuAnn hires her to bake 100 plus cupcakes for a funeral. It is just as crazy as you think it could get! A fun "read at the beach" or on a plane book. I personally like these books whenever I just want to escape for a few hours.

One of the most important ingredients to a great cozy is character. You can have a mystery, you can have the setting, you can have the dialogue, but if you don't have likeable and believable characters you connect with and want to return to, it all falls apart like a baking disaster. Luckily, this book has all of that, plus an excellent cast of characters. I feel I know these people and they've become good friends. Harper Lin excels at this with all of her books. Jump into this great series with any of the books. With so many cupcake cozies out there, this series stands out above the rest.

Desserts and Death is Harper Lin's sixth book in The Pink Cupcake Mysteries series. I received an ARC for my review. This series is about Amelia Hardy and her Pink Cupcake food truck. Into the mix of characters we have her two teenage children, her recently remarried ex-husband, friend Lila, boyfriend Police Detective Dan and a variety of customers to her food truck. Amelia is always involved in some murder mystery along with Detective Dan. The story has believable characters,  fast paced action and just a little romance to create an easy reading cozy mystery.  I have read all six books and look forward to number seven.

This was a great, fast read. Amelia's business is really jumping. She's considering hiring p how well she's doing. Dan and her relationship is getting stronger. And as much as she tries not to be she's still in the murder game. One of her customers is a sweet girl, who's mother is a big realtor. She hears that the girl is engaged to an ex con grease monkey. When Amelia hears he fell off the roof of the mother in law house and died her interest is peaked. Even though after the last incident she was involved in she feels so sorry for the girl she can't help but want to she what happened.
I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion.

Another great read in the Pink Cupcake Mystery series. Amelia's cupcakes that she sells out of her Pink cupcake truck are becoming wildly popular and she is thrilled when a catering job of 100 cupcakes come her way. Turns out the cupcakes are for the wake of a man who may have been murdered and it is not long before Amelia is investigating. To make matters worse, her ex-husband has returned from his honeymoon and is beginning to make some incredulous demands. Love the characters and suspense of each and every story. I thank the author, Harper Lin, for providing me an ARC to read and review. Highly recommend!

I started and finished this book in the same day, it is that good! This is the 6th book in Harper Lin's Pink Cupcake Mysteries Series and each book is awesome.
Amelia's cupcake business is growing, the cupcake truck is getting busier and she is taking on more catering clients. As she is looking to expand and hire more help one of her customers has had an "accident". Could it be murder? Could another customer be involved? Join Amelia and her gang as they try to solve another mystery to find out what happens.

Delectable!

Desserts & Death is a fast, clean read with a likable cast of characters. It’s not so much of a murder mystery as a story about a divorced woman with two teenage kids, a jerky ex-husband, a delicious BF, & how she manages surviving all the changes life throws at her. Bonus at the end are a few delicious cupcake recipes.

I received this ARC from Harper Lin as a member of her Review Crew. I think this was my favorite of the Pink Cupcake series. I love the characters, the relationship between Lila and Amelia, and I feel like they are my longtime friends. As a kid, I loved Nancy Drew books, and these Cupcake stories are like reading an updated, adult version of those books.

I really like this series. Some yummy cupcake recipes!!! Amelia is on the case again. Can you solve this murder or is it murder? Love her boyfriend Detective Dan - hope they get married soon! Her ex-husband is such a loser and getting worse. I want her to stand up to him. Great mystery and so much more.

Desserts and Death is the sixth book in The Pink Cupcake Mysteries series. This is a short and fun little mystery. Amelia is working like crazy between the cupcakes and the catering orders. Now with this murder, she wants to figure out who did it. Was it one of her customers? This was another great story in this series. I definitely recommend it.

Another good story from Harper Lin. I look forward to each book in this series.
Amelia is all set to cater a wedding, and the Mother of the Bride is the bridezilla of the group.
The groom has a fatal fall off from the roof, and the mystery begins to find out what really happened.

Ms. Lin has done it again with book six in the Pink Cupcakes Mysteries series. Amelia and Lila have their hands full with the booming cupcake business and are feeling the effects. Somehow Amelia gets pulled into the murder mystery of a customer after being asked to cater cupcakes for his wake.
I received an ARC from the author for purposes of an unbiased review.

Murder comes in all guises...

Being your own boss is not a bed of roses. Amelia is drawn into murder investigation no matter how much she tries to avoid it. She also faces a threat that could destroy her happy home.

As always Lila and Amelia will make you laugh as you sit back and enjoy this vivacious tale into the life of a food truck operator.
