Cecilia Randell is the pseudonym for a lady author that has not quite worked up the courage to give you all her real name. She loves a good story, and often finds herself thinking "what if...", so decided to put some of her 'what ifs' down in words for others to, hopefully, enjoy.

Goddess of Mine - Tabitha Barret
When an ancient Celtic Goddess is ruthlessly attacked by one of her own kin, can she recover her strength and special abilities in time to save the handsome mortal who rescued her from death?

I received a complimentary copy of GODDESS OF MINE by Tabitha Barret! My honest review is voluntary!

Tabitha Barrett has brought her creative best to the table as she gives us a tender love story and one goddess’s struggle to regain her abilities and believe in herself and her family of gods, all while she finds a mortal has stolen her heart. In a brief tale that feels like it floats through both history and the contemporary times it is set in, we will witness the brutal jealousies and all-consuming quest for power that almost kills Keridwen. She lives apart from humanity, apart from her fellow gods alone with the beauty of nature, reveling in her powers to cause things to flourish.

Her life almost ended when werewolves attack with poison on their claws, but her life is saved by a bachelor cattle rancher who allows her beauty within and on the surface to steal his heart.

That fateful night, Keri’s powers were twisted into something ugly, and she can no longer strengthen the beauty of the flora and fauna and humanity will suffer if she does not attempt to regain her powers and resume her position as a goddess. How would Quinn react to find she is more than a woman? What danger has she brought to his doorstep?

Could Fate be so cruel as to give her heart its true desire then threaten to take it away? GODDESS OF MINE is a contemporary fairytale set in a land known for its magically rich history and love of all things "other," Ireland.

I just loved how this tale seems to feel timeless! Complete with a battle of good versus evil, the true heart of this tale is the story of love between two damaged souls!

This is for Serena Lindahl's "One More Night."

This was an amazing story of a woman with low self-esteem delving into the world of fantasy and finding confidence as well as love. The entire story builds toward one of the hottest and most loving sex scenes I've read in a really long time. Lindahl weaves a story that is surprisingly complex for the length--and manages to do it without feeling rushed or incomplete. The characters have depth and the story is well-developed. It was an awesome read that incorporated all the things I love about Lindahl as an author.

The Treasure keeper (Her Irish Treasures, book 1):
A very unique, interesting, and captivating tale.
I loved and enjoyed the characters, each had their own voice, they each make you feel.
I really do love Joely's writing.

If the rest of the books in this anthology are like this one you won't be disappointed.

A Forgotten Goddess - Cecilia Randell

What happens when you are forgotten by your own people? Bat Sitru is an Egyptian Goddess forgotten by the Egyptians and ignored by most of the other Egyptian deities. She leaves her home to follow visions leading her to a small pub in Ireland. Can she find what she has lost, what she craves, and what she didn’t realize she really wanted? Or will the Celtic deities take offense and kick her out of her potential new home? A murder on the steps of the pub dredge up old worries and feelings, and Bat may yet be pushed from the place that called her to the Emerald Isle. I was drawn to the inquisitive and caring Bat, enjoying her adventure.

Emerald Ire - C.A. Storm

Can you escape an average life and find beauty in your nightmares? What happens when you chase your nightmares to the green isles of Ireland at St. Patrick’s day? These are questions Patricia is trying to seek the answers to. Spending a year abroad after graduating college she finds herself drawn to Ireland in March and chased by a monster into a hole, literally and figuratively. There she finds herself face to face with the shadows she’s embraced in her nightmares in the faces of four banished Fomoire kings. Can she free them and find herself?

Goddess of Mine - Tabitha Barret

When the Goddess Keridwen leaves the Underworld she hopes to leave her kin behind. When one of her cousins tries to kill her she is forced to flee and finds herself in a small village under the watchful care of Quinn. While she heals from the poison used against her she begins to fall for the human who saved her. Quinn has his own demons, though, and tries to keep her away. Can Keri keep Quinn and his village safe from the storm brewing among the ancient Gods? Will this weary Goddess and mortal find love that lasts? Or will darker plans and plans prevail?

One More Night - Serena Lindahl

When Erin receives a call about going to Ireland about her ancestral home she isn’t sure what to think. Getting over the death of her mother and end of her marriage, her life has been turned upside down and a visit to her grandmother’s home just might be the getaway she needs. When she arrives she meets the 3 enigmatic and quirky household staff and feels drawn to each of them in different ways. Is this trip going to be more than just a way to reset? Can she find love with three beautiful strangers? Or will a curse tear her world apart yet again?

The Treasure Keeper (Her Irish Treasures) - Joely Sue Burkhart

One woman, destined to unite the four treasures of Ireland. Just getting over a bad marriage, Riann finds herself out for a girls night and comes home with a gargoyle statue. Vivid dreams and the urge to paint until she can’t stay upright overcome her and a quest to free the men from her dreams begins. Can Riann find and save the Gargoyle? Will she succeed when so many others have failed? A fun and engaging tale to draw you in and keep you reading to see if Riann succeeds!

I have always loved anthologies and this one isn't an exception. I admit I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to all things Irish (unless Irish Springs-bar soap, and Irish/Scottish Tweets & Accents count lmao). And I kind of stumble when it comes to pronouncing their names (I practically butcher them). Buuut, I'm in awe of the authors' research and efforts into making this anthology. FUN & HOT IRISH SHENANIGANS!

A Forgotten Goddess by Cecilia Randell

This is such a great mix of Egyptian and Irish myths-something I am not too familiar with. The heroine is lit. I mean, a goddess and her quirky way of adapting the modern lingo? I had so much fun with that, I swear.

Emerald Ire (The Forgotten & The Forbidden) by C.A. Storm

This has been hot, hot & hot!!! I imagine I am going to combust on the spot. And the characters only kissed. *fans myself* Also, the concept of following one's nightmares instead of dreams??? lololol classic and definitely original. PS I want to get it on with the making little fomoire princes/princesses part hahahaha

Goddess of Mine by Tabitha Barret

This is the only non-rh entry but no less interesting. At first, I was wary of the hero as a mortal human being. I admit I felt like he wouldn't be able to be a worthy partner/lover to the heroine. But the two worked it all out in the end.

One More Night by Serena Lindahl

This one's another steamy entry, I swear. I love the f/f element. I've only had one RH series to provide me f/f material so this one's a nice surprise. I kind of predicted the heroine's going to choose that option but it didn't make the story less great. I just knew she had that tendency and I was grateful she's rewarded for that.

The Treasurekeeper (Her Irish Treasures) by Joely Sue Burkhart

Ahhh...I think this author is the ultimate queen of steam and adventures and action. Early on I've learned not to pick favorites but let's keep it just to ourselves that this entry is my favorite from the anthology. Just a tad among all entries. *Shhh!* I love love love her brand of sexy times and underdog-ish heroines.

* Full disclosure: I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review*
This review is about THE TREASUREKEEPER from Joely Sue Burkhart

Good story with an interesting plot and great RH interaction. The MC just left an abusive marriage and is thrown into a fight that is happening for hundreds years. I liked the characters and the storyline, and better yet doesn’t end in a cliffhanger. The only thing I missed was more character development and the need to see more interaction with some males leads. It left me wanting more of the MC and her treasures, I hope it will turn in a series because I would love to read more about this world and characters.

So good...

I loved all of the stories in this collection but for this review I'm going to focus on The Treasurekeeper by Joely Sue Burkhart. This novel is amazing. So fluid and the descriptions so vivid that you FEEL like your in the story. The way she writes you become invested in her characters. You smirk with them, want to slap them in the back of the head when they need it, and the naughty scenes (la sigh/*blush*/squirm). So Good. Joely Sue Burkhart has become one of my go to author's. Her books always deliver of story, character development, and romance. I'm adding this one to my must read again shelf. Pick it up you will not be disappointed.

I received an ARC of The Treasurekeeper from Joely Sue Burkhart from the Shamrocked anthology; this review is only about this story. I was initially intrigued by the premise of a paranormal menage romance involving bossy gargoyles, horny leprechauns, and badass demons. But the problem for me was the size of the menage (insert bad pun): keeping track of five alpha magical dudes meant I constantly lost track of characters not to mention the muddy storyline. Turns out five guys just may be too many.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Shamrocked is the perfect anthology to read in March, or really anytime of year when you're in the mood for stories that have a touch of the Irish. I specifically want to highlight Joely Sue Burkhart's contribution, The Treasurekeeper. In true fashion her story features the sexy kind of adventure one expects from her work. I was so excited to see it featured gargoyle, as you don't get too many romance stories that have them! Add in a dash of leprechauns and Treasurekeeper had everything you could want in an Irish themed story.

This review is based on Serena Lindahl's story, One More Night.

I wasn't sure what to expect - something new, something different maybe? And I got it. I got this sweethearted and beautiful story of love and decisions and self discovery. There's a little bit of magic, a little bit of mffm, and a lot of learning about these people who I'd like to date please. I'll amend my rating when I get to read the others, if needed, but I love these writers and have faith in them

Treasures!

I freely admit that I read this anthology specifically for Joely Sue Burkhart. I can always count on a delectable story from her and she surely delivered with this one. Leprechauns and gargoyles, anything after that was just a plus.

I also enjoyed A Forgotten Goddess, although I feel cheated that the author gave us a sexy rogue pirate and there were no sexy times lol.

The others were entertaining, but these two were my favorites.

I have only read The Treasurekeeper by Joely Sue Burkhart so far, which I received an advanced copy of and I've voluntarily decided to share my honest review!

The Treasurekeeper is a magical, exciting and sexy story where we meet a leprechaun, a gargoyle and a biker gang. The universe created is so amazing you never want the story to end! If the other stories are just half as great, this book will be a right treat!

Loved it all.

I love themed Anthology stories. Joely Sue Burkhart's story The Treasurekeeper was my favorite. Its about a woman who finds herself looking for a trapped gargoyle with the help of leprechaun to save the world from daemons. All she needs to do is convince the Irish Treasures that they can risk their heart once again.

If you're Irish, this book is a terrible collection of all the old 'Oirish' cliches and some of it is genuinely wince-inducing. That said, the writing is certainly fine, at least two of the stories are very good and the book will probably satisfy those with an interest in things (plastic) Irish.

This is a collection of short stories about Irish legends and monsters. They are entertaining and these authors probably had to do some research for a some of this information. Well written and easy to read.

I only read The Treasurekeeper by Joely Sue Burkhart

The things I've read by Joely Sue are on the dark side. So I wasn't sure what to expect for this book.
It was laugh out loud funny and adorable. This is the type of story that I could read over and over. It had a few dark touches, but it was really a fun read. I would love to see more from this world for sure.
