Slowly making my way through Agatha Christie's catalogue, and another brilliant book featuring the fabulous Hercule Poirot. I found this book to start off slowly compared to other Poirot books I've read of hers, however it quickly becomes more fast paced, and with the crime unraveling. I feel there wasn't as much Poirot in here than usual, with the book going between the other characters involved, and Poirot coming in every so often, and allowing the main policeman (Inspector Sharpe) to have more of a role throughout. I did miss Hastings in the book, I feel like when the book is written from his perspective you get more of a feel of the characters and how Poirot works his little grey cells.
A very great story with Hercule Poirot. And easier than the original one, because is another adapted and abridged version for us who is learning English. And as usual, I re-read this books and listened to the audio many times.
This book was my introduction to the art of Agatha Christie. A book that keeps you curious throughout reading and the further you go the more questions begin to arise. A truly interesting read with a great ending (of sorts haha).
I don't know if it was because of the copy I read (simplified English for beginners - all my library had!) but this seemed a rather silly overly complicated story without a very satisfying ending.
