Mya Leggett’s plan is simple: help a hurt dragon back to his castle and be rewarded for her efforts. Everyone knows dragons have treasures. Once she’s paid, she’ll use the money to pay off her and her twin sister’s debt. She hadn’t planned on being told she couldn’t leave the castle once she entered it.
She definitely hadn’t planned on learning that the wounded dragon she helped, was actually the alpha of all dragon shifters. To make matters worse, he thinks she’s his mate. Her… a vampire, a creature of the night who doesn’t believe in sex or love. How can she prove to a determined beast that she isn’t the female he needs?
Her touch makes him want to claim her in the most primitive way.
Zane Dracon’s plan is simple: bring his mate to his castle, then convince her to stay there, forever. He expected her to fall in love with him instantly. He’s the alpha, the most feared creature in Velahn, the strongest dragon that’s ever lived. He can protect and provide for her better than any other creature in Velahn.
Yet, she isn’t impressed with his strength and his fighting skills. It’s going to take more to win her over. However, he doesn’t know how to give her more. He knows how to fight. He knows how to protect. But, he doesn’t know how to love.
Will a vampire who’s never felt desire and a dragon who doesn’t know how to love be able to make it work? Find out in this naughty novella.
Hi, my name is Siren Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things erotic and romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi where I write steamy romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.
I was first introduced to Mya and her twin sister Kya in the Love is Color Anthology. This story brings everything full circle.
Mya is a healer and a vampire, two thing she never thought would lead her to the Dracon Castle. She also never imagined she would be interested in finding a mate. To her, even the simple act of kissing was sharing germs. Gross.
Mya was not all that different from humans when they are young; idealistic, flighty and convinced the opposite sex is disgusting. And just like human females when they mature, she finds out that males are a lot of fun to "play" with. Even if they are dragons.
This was a great read and really only the second time I have wanted to read a story with dragons and vampires. Now I am looking forward to reading the next installment!
This is definitely worth four stars and much better than I anticipated. The MCs, Mya and Zane were adorable virgins, and that might be a turn off for some but it was a nice change of pace for me. This can be labeled as instalove after the fact, but Mya was a funny, knowledgeable heroine I can back whereas Zane was the grumpy grouch who didn't know what he had been missing. So if you're in the mood to read about a dragon and vampire falling in love, give this a try.
I thought Zane and Amya were sweet together. I loved how curious yet innocent she was and not afraid of sticking to her instincts regarding Zane. I loved how vulnerable he was and how he desperately wanted love. Can’t wait to read Kya’s tale next.
Dragons and vampires , two unlikely combinations but it works Amazingly. Kya’s realization that she’s not as cold as she thought makes you fall in love. This book definitely made me change my mind about paranormal romance and is a definite must read
Zane Should Have Been Careful What He Wished For Because He Got Mya!
Zane and Mya started off with a rough start, but it ended well for them in the end. Zane, Prince of the Dragons, having to be alone and the stand in ruler because his father has gone to sleep because he is could not continue to walk the planet without his mate that he lost during the lore creatures, is tired of waiting for a mate, so much so that he is close to joining his father in the deep sleep. He makes a wish that he meets his mate soon, but in the meantime, to take his mind off of finding a mate he goes looking for a criminal only to fall into a precarious situation during his search where he finds Mya who is both his mate and the criminal he is looking for. In his desperation to keep her near, he tricks her to going back to his castle in the guise of healing him only to keep her prisoner. But here is the catch, his mate is a Vampire, a creature that he loathes due to what happened in the past, but he also can not resist her because she is his mate. But because of his loathing of what she is, he keeps her from helping him because he believes that she will do more harm than good. Because of this, he almost parishes and would have if his cousin’s mate had not stepped in to help her help him. Mya does not believe that she has a mate and only wants to heal Zane and to get payment from him so that she can go back home to her twin sister. She would not have gone with him if she knew that he had no intentions of keeping up the deal that led her to his home, but then again, this would not have been a romance.
I was truly hoping that this read wouldn't be boring or a disappointment. I can honestly say that I was far from disappointed. I wished that it could've been a lot longer. Needless to say, I will be reading more of this authors books. I laughed at Mya, she's so witty and although timid at times, she can hang with the big dogs. Zane changed that attitude about his mates heritage real quick when he realized the treasure he found. I love that the read developed characteristics from not color/ethnicity, but from what paranormal species they come from. That's beautiful. If only the world didn't see in color.
I thought the first book was great. And just keeps getting better. Prince Zane was just about through looking for his mate when the Fates heard his prayers and sent him Mya, a vampire. This book was awesome just like the first. The chemistry between Zane and Mya was mind blowing! I loved we got to see more of Ciera and Edmund. And that Ciera bonding with Mya. A girl has to have some girlfriends. Once again Siren Allen added another fantastic book to this series. I can't wait to read about Mya's twin sister Kya. That book I bet is gonna be explosive! 5⭐'s all the way!!
So first off I want you to understand something this book is really well written as well as being funny, sexy, and a rarity because it is an IR paranormal romance! It’s like finding a freaking unicorn in book form. I am so glad I stumbled across this author. I’m going to send prayers up that she never stops writing because I have needs! This book had fae, dragons, witches, ogres, wolf shifters, vampires, gargoyles, I mean come on! This ish is fire a few minor typos but that’s it I loved this!!!
I love how she wasn't falling all over him and loosing her mind. Some authors have the female love interest so dumbfounded and about to faint on the spot, just because the guy breath in air. Just over the top. I really liked Mya's character. I liked Zane too. I'm happy he didn't hold on to his hate of vampires to long like in the previous book. Overall I enjoyed this book.
A few spelling errors. But they didn’t detract from the story. It was too short. I’d like to have seen the two have more time together
Spoiler
As I think about it after they start having sex that’s the end of the story. They don’t spend quality time together. I’m only not taking a star away because I enjoyed the story..
Where's the next one?... Even with this being a short read it's enough to get you wanting the next one. I really wanted more to happen with not just their relationship but also outside issues that would challenge them. Overall this was good but the next one has to have more action to keep me reading.
Ok Siren done did it again I will co tune to read every book that's come out, Man the chemistry the story and dont get me started on the sex scenes, the sex scenes are amazingly detailed and the sex talk omg reading these books literally gives my stomach butterflies and chills 10/10 definitely will recommend and read more
I love reading paranormal/fantasy novels because I get to escape into a new world or dimension. Many times, is not only the characters that play a major role, but also the settings and way of life.
To me, this romance was highly entertaining and satisfying.
What a interesting little short story. I liked the characters so much I needed more. It just wasn’t enough for me. I like the backstory of both creatures. I will continue to read this series.
Entertaining from start to finish. The plot was fantastic. I enjoyed both Mya's and Zane's personalities. There were just enough naughty bits. The humor sprinkled throughout this book was also a nice bonus.
Would have loved to see Mya and Zane fight side by side. They were so funny, perfect for each other. Can’t wait to read Kya’s story. This is my first read by this author. I wasn’t disappointed.
The story line was interesting. But more could have been placed in the book. The author constantly repeated herself several times, at times 4 times back to back. If those repeats were removed this would more be of a novella.
The only issue I had was the story was set years after the first book but the creatures and the war that was coming in the first book was never address in this book. It was like it never happened. Otherwise it was great.
Now this series was very good 😊 im glad I decided to stick with this author. It has nothing to do with my home town being mentioned in KAV vella book. Excited for Hell’s story it should be interesting.
Another quick, cute romance. I enjoyed some of the comedic banter between the characters “I look a cold mess.” Ms. Allen continues to world build as she slowly moves the subplot along in the background.
This was a fun, quick read. It was pretty entertaining how naive both the H and h were when it came to sex. I would love to see what the author would do with this as a full length novel.
