Rate this book
Nick Bailey is a ruined man.
Once an NFL star, he thought he had it all. Fame. Money. Respect. After losing everything to injury and scandal, he fell from his pedestal, becoming the most hated man in town. Picking up the pieces of a shattered life is harder than it looks, but Nick is tired of being the brooding loner. He wants to move on.

Jenna Moore was born to perform.
She loves the high she gets from being on stage, singing in front of a crowd—even if it’s just at the local bar on weekends. Everyone assumes she wants the rock ‘n roll dream—the stardom, the crowds of adoring fans. But as much as she loves to sing, fame won’t fill the hole in her heart.

Nick has watched Jenna for months, desperate to love her. But the ghosts of his past still haunt him. Could a woman like her ever want a man like him?

3.5 stars! I will start by saying that this is the authors first book and I applaud her wholeheartedly for her first effort!!

Because of that I have a hard time writing this review but I had a hard time getting through this book. Perhaps it just wasn't my 'cup of tea' so to speak... I found that Nick spent a ton of time in his head and we heard a lot of dark or 'woe is me' type of dialogue from him and Jenna was in a crummy 'f**k buddy' relationship with another guy that we heard a lot about in the first 1/3 of the book. I found both of these elements at the start of the story just stalled my enjoyment of the book and I had a hard time getting into the relationship between the two. Like I said, perhaps this author just won't be my thing...Give it a try yourself as I love to support new authors!

All men fall. It's how you get back up is what matters.
Beautiful love story! With steam, fun and lots of feels.

Great new author!

Nick, a former NFL star has fallen from grace. His former fans despise him and spew hatred towards him. His own father holds him responsible for the sadness within their family. He’s just generally misunderstood and feels very alone in the world. He’s moved to a smallish town to escape the constant gossip, press and attacks on his character.

He’s been watching Jenna perform at his town’s bar for a few months now. He’s completely drawn to her energy and her beauty, but he hasn’t made a move. She seems to always be attached to a different guy and he’s not one to get in the middle of a couple. He does however step in when her current ‘boyfriend’ starts to get possessive and violent after having too much to drink. Nick comes to her rescue, stays with her, comforts her and offers his giant dog Zeus as protection while they sort out what’s going on with her ex.

They start to see each other more regularly, but neither has put a label on their time together. It’s fun, very hot and they seem to be each other’s safe havens. They just are really bad at communicating on the major life issues and events. He is settled in his quiet, small town life and he assumes that Jenna is on her way up to superstardom and will want to leave their one horse town. He doesn’t want to lose her, but he can’t live with being put back in the spotlight if that’s what she chooses to do.

When Jenna suddenly leaves town to appease her parents, Nick loses it. He’s sad, angry, disappointed, but mostly he misses desperately and realizes how much he loves her. Jenna’s waiting for an apology for his temper tantrum, but Nick doesn’t know how to put into words how hard he’s fallen for her.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but what if these two aren’t meant to have a second chance at love? Will Jenna realize that she’s fallen madly in love with Nick before it’s too late to tell him?

I cried and cried. This book made me feel all the feels. And I’m not usually much of a crier. Beautiful love story with genuine characters, smart writing, steamy sex scenes and just enough angst and drama to bring on the tears.

Standalone. Very happily ever after. No cliffhanger.

WOW, Cyndy has set the world of steamy romance on fire with her first book! This new author writes like she has been doing it for years. You lady are a ROCK STAR!

Jenna and Nick have been attracted to each other for months but alas they have never even spoken.

Nick was once a famous football quarterback who had the world by the tail until his catastrophic injury which put him out of the game and into a life he had problems accepting.

Jenna worked in her parents flower shop by day and scratched the itch to sing at night in clubs where she rocked the house.

The night they actually spoke to each other for the first time, Jenna's on the way out boyfriend did a number on her car then went to her home and did the same there. Little did he know, he opened the door for a better man to step through and it was Nick.

This book pulled me into the story from the first page and kept me on the edge of my seat until the end, which was one of the most beautiful HEA's to happen on paper.

I loved that Nick was protective but shy and unshure but that Jenna kept giving him openings to come clean with his feelings for her because she was crazy about him.
I so admired how Jenna gently coaxed Nick as the relationship developed although some of the coaxing was firey! I loved the passion these 2 had in their relationship.

This love story was well written and just flowed from sparks to flames then into an inferno.

I am so excited to read more of C.M. Lally's books, can't be soon enough for me.
I give this book 5 flaming ***** stars because it's just that hot

Wow! 5 laughing & crying stars!

This is one you really need to read! The story of Jenna & Nick pulled me in and never let go.

Jenna is completely happy with her life - well, except for her dating life, that's a work in progress.

Here's a quote from her at the beginning of the story: "I swear, I would hate to have to kill a man for making a scene while I'm on a gig, but no man is ever going to own me. I don't even understand what that means. I was put on this Earth as a single human being. I am not a twin or part of a group. God saw fit to make me an individual, and I intend to keep it that way - at least until I can decide who I want, rather than who wants me." I mean if a fictional character could be your BFF - she would definitely be mine.

And then there's Nick, what's not to love there. A man who has had the spotlight and now is determined to stay in the shadows. Yep, I love a world-weary broken man.

Now just throw in a jealous ex, a stalker who leaves sticky notes on the windshield, a huge loveable pooch, a bunch of drama and angst and I'm set - just bring me a soda and some popcorn - I'm gonna be here a while.

Just remember stalking is NOT always bad

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy. (and I'd do it again)

What an amazing book. As a debut author, Cyndy did a wonderful job introducing two fantastic characters. Nick an ex football player and Jenna a florist, who loves singing in her uncle’s bar. Nick is actually broken inside owing to an injury that obliged him to retire from football. Nick has unconsciously fallen in love with Jenna and silently admires her from afar. On the other hand, Jenna has a relationship with a man who doesn't deserve her. She noticed Nick coming to the bar every night and since she feels a sort of attraction toward him, she secretly leaves every night messages of encouragement on his windshield. Finally one night their worlds collide and from there on their lives will never be the same. I highly recommend this book and if you decide to read it then get ready to meet the man of your dreams. So, be prepared for steamy scenes but mostly lots of love.

Nick & Jenna

I really enjoyed this story. Lots of sexual tension without all the sex-capades or sex-athons. Also, I enjoyed how Nick struggled to voice his feelings to Jenna. Guys get choked up emotionally and don't always know how to express themselves. They often male fools of themselves or say the wrong thing and Nick was no exception.
These two were cute together

What a fabulous first for CM Lally. This book had such depth of characters that I felt like I knew them. The storyline sucked me in and I could not put it down. From disappointment to starting over, from tragedy to a heartwarming ending, this story had it all. Loved it!! Can't wait for more!!

This book was a fantastic debut for author C.M. Lally. Nick & Jenna's story was not the norm and drew me in immediately. The storyline and characters are well written and developed making it an easy read. I really enjoyed how Nick & Jenna's relationship unfolded and their chemistry was palpable.

When Nick's football career ended, he quickly fell from grace as the hometown hero and although he owns a successful landscaping company, it doesn't compare to the successful football career he once had. Jenna is the lead singer of a local band that plays at the bar where Nick goes to unwind after work. Nick finds Jenna intoxicating; she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and Jenna can't take her eyes off the handsome sexy man at the bar. Both of them are drawn to each other, and when they meet there is no denying the chemistry between them.

But there is more to this story than just 2 people having hot steamy sex and falling in love. Nick & Jenna's story has a lot of twists and turns and will keep you interested from start to finish. A page turner with a HEA that doesn't disappoint. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and originally posted this on another website on December 27, 2016.

I liked this book. Didn't love it though. I think it's ok for a one time read. I felt like a few things were left unresolved. Like, Nick and his father's realtionship and also with Jenna's ex. No feeling were talked about until the end. The only real excitement was the forest fires and the effecs of them.

I loved this story. The characters were developed, the storyline well thought out and the chemistry was great.
Nick starts out just a little brooding, but then again, with everything that has happened in the last few years, it is completely understandable. He likes to hangout the local bar and listen to the band play. He has a bit of a crush on the singer.
Jenna has been watching the guy at the bar since the first night she saw him. He has a wall up that she wants to breakdown. Little by little she makes her move.
A jealous ex ruins Jenna's night, but Nick steps in and changes her life. Miscommunication and emotions make the two rethink their relationship or to decide if they even have one. When danger strikes and causes Nick to be in an induced coma, will Jenna be there when he wakes up. Will they have the strength to admit their feelings and to take the next step?
I really loved this story and I promise that you will enjoy it too.

This debut novel from author CM Lally is absolutely terrific. To begin with, this author has such talent that when you read this book you will find it hard to believe that this is her debut. Her writing style is so fluid and descriptive that as a reader I could easily picture this story unfolding as I read it. You will fall in love with Nick and Jenna. Ms. Lally has written full, dimensional characters with their own strengths, vulnerabilities and flaws. Jenna is a strong, independent woman who wants to live her life on her terms - which is simple and drama free. Nick is a strong man with great protective instincts, but he also has an emotional side that will make you fall even more in love with him. As this story unfolded, I became more invested in seeing how their journey played out. There is also a depth of emotion in this story that feels real and jumps off the pages.

This is a fantastic debut novel, that is well written, with complex, emotional characters and story line that will keep you turning pages until you reach the end. I will definitely be back for more from this author. Do yourself a favor and take a chance on this author. You will not be disappointed.

After reading her debut novel, I believe C.M. Lally has earned a new title- Queen Lally. Seriously. All Men Fall is that great! There was not a single part of this book that I did not enjoy reading, even the parts that had me worrying. I loved Jenna's attitude and confidence and Nick's protectiveness. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read this masterpiece yet, but Jenna's little comment when Nick is dropping her off after the buffet is my favorite part of the book. I was all "You go girl!" and ready to high five her.

I can't wait to read more of Queen Lally's work, so I hope she is busy writing.

Nick was injured badly during the playoffs his shoulder injury had to be operated on. He's besotted with the lead singer in a bar he visits. Jenna is the lead singer in her band & only wants to stay small time. A problem with her boyfriend makes the two of them connect. The sparks begin to fly can they get it right?
I enjoyed the book and I'm pleased to find another new author.

Nick is a fallen sports star that everyone has put aside and accused after the biggest mistake of his life that ruined his career forever. He now lives his life quietly, working a job unrelated to his previous career and acting like any other man is age. While he goes to his favorite bar, he often sees a band playing. Jenna is the leader of the band, and she's a great singer, who happens to date the worst men on earth. Jenna and Nick exchange some glances during her shows until something happens and it brings them together.

Nick is your wounded hero with issues. He was likeable, not the jerky type, but perhaps he talked too much in his head rather than with his words. Jenna is also a likeable female character but I didn't like how she said she'd break up with her arrogant ex, then she was still with him. I would have liked more strength from her side.

The reason why I gave this rating is simple. The story started off nice, but as I moved along, the characters talked into their heads instead of talking to each other and their story progressed too fast for my taste. I know this was a novella, but each one has a way to develop a relationship and I thought the way Nick and Jenna fell for each other was too abrupt despite we understand that they both had eyes for each other even before they really "meet". Overall, I also thought it was predictable. The author told what they did from the perspective of both characters, but it seemed more telling than showing and it seemed all in the characters' heads rather than "real". But it can surely be improved!
