After a horrific crime tears away all that he loves, Ryder Dunham, former Special Forces combat veteran, spirals into a dark world of alcohol, self loathing and despair. Through a chance meeting, he is introduced to a wealthy businessman who too has had his life shattered by senseless violence. Together, the two conspire to combat society’s vermin and with the mogul’s financial and logistical support, the pair unleashes Ryder’s deadly skills against those who prey upon the weak. What begins as a partnership of vengeance comes crashing back to earth in the form of a double cross so staggering that it destroys their unholy union and pits the two men against each other in a life and death struggle.
Born in Canada, Richard’s family immigrated to America when he was a young boy and he was raised just outside of Philadelphia, Pa with his brother and sister.
At the age of 17 Richard joined the Marines in search of the travel and adventure that his idol Ernest Hemingway experienced many years before him.
Upon receiving an honorable discharge Richard found his way to Hollywood where he played lead guitar in various hard rock bands.
After leaving California, Richard moved back to the east coast and then overseas to live in Holland for 2 years.
Richard has been published worldwide in Reader’s Digest, nominated for an Easter Seals Award and written briefly for 2 different newspapers. He currently lives in the Tampa Bay area where he is raising his 2 children.
This book is atypical from what I usually read and I loved it. Marines, Special Ops and action-packed from page 1 until the end. I loved the first person narrative and how the author showed that tough guys have feelings, too. Great job, Mr. Nesbitt!
