Will is certain there’s truth to the phrase that no good deed goes unpunished.

William Blunt thought posing for a charity calendar would be fun. Instead, it’s kind of tedious and stressful, and his boyfriend begins to display some alarmingly jealous behavior. Once the shoot is over—again—he’s ready to move on to other things, one of which is, eventually, a healthier relationship.

Breaking up isn’t hard to do, and Will vows to learn from his past dating disasters. What he doesn’t count on is meeting a man whose smile turns his world upside down. Baz is gorgeous, but more than that, he’s intriguing and funny, and he seems to be as interested in Will as Will is in him.

But all is not smooth sailing, and a murder complicates the personal issues both men are already struggling with.

A few things about me...

I am a married mom of four who spends most of the day writing, either on stories or at the blog. I love to write as much as I love to read. I am generally quiet and laid back, choosing to let things slide off me rather than stick and irritate me.

And it's really hard trying to think of descriptives for myself, so I'll just let y'all e-mail me or comment at the blog if there's something specific you'd like to know, and spare you from reading a boring bio:D

Independent reviewer for Divine Magazine, I was gifted my copy of this book.

Will thought the charity shoot was a good thing, til his boyfriend, Geoffrey got all jealous of nothing. So Will dumps him and takes himself out to dinner. And has an instant and powerful reaction to Baz, his server. Baz is a swan shifter, and they mate for life so Baz needs to be careful with Will. Then Geoffrey turns up dead and both men are prime suspects.

Book 4 in the Calendar Men series, but you don't need to have read the other first. It will give you a better picture of what has happened on the photo shoot, but very little of the shoot appears here.

I liked this, a lot. Not as much as March, but I did like it. I just didn't love it and *insert whiny voice* I don't know why!

It carries drama of a different nature to the other books, but I liked that here. It also has shifters of a different breed: swans and coyotes. I did not see whodunnit until it was revealed in the book!

The heat level between Baz and Will is hot and steamy, but also deep and emotional, especially when Baz is talking about life mates and things.

I just LIKED it, but I didn't love it.

BUT!! Still a four star read and I'm interested how the rest of the year will play out.

4 GOOD solid stars

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This the fourth book in the series, and it would definitely help the reader to have read the previous books. I have to admit that even though I have, the shifter element surprised me again.

Will having completed his model duties for the calendar finds that he may have found a new love, but having just been burned, and after the other disasters which befell the calendar crew, he is skeptical. Baz is excited at meeting Will, but also concerned given he is a swan shifter, and they tend to fall in love only once.

They are a fun couple though, and I enjoyed their romancing of each other, even if it is unconventional. I did however find the dramatic twist a little strange, even if it got us to where the story needed to be.

M/M Romance
Triggers: Shifter, death
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Will is finally done with the calendar - thankfully. It took much longer than anticipated, but also showed Will how a true relationship, a healthy relationship, should look. He has had it with his over-possessive, paranoid boyfriend. When push comes to shove, Will shoves without mercy. He's done.

On a whim, he goes out and meets Baz. Baz is flirty, funny and sexy. He also has a great personality and knows that sometimes, even without looking, you can find your true love. Howeer, Baz also knows what love can do - he lost his mom to love.

Overall, this was a sweet story with a twist in the mystery of why all of the men who have participated in the calendar have not great luck in love. While the characters do shift in to their animals, I wouldn't necessarily qualify this story as a shifter story. It was a quick, easy read.

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

The romance between Baz and Will is very sweet in this story. But the rest of the book left me a little bewildered with a few too many WTF moments.

I kinda like the idea of swan shifters but there is very little world building or explanation of the shifter elements of this story. A murder investigation pops up near the end and thoroughly complicates the book. And the characters: the ex boyfriend, the neighbour, the uncle, the lonely colleague… Too many characters are introduced before either changing dramatically or dominating a couple of scenes before disappearing.

Because there is so much going on, there is little room for character development. Even Baz and Will feel like sketches and minor characters like ex-boyfriend Geoffrey remain cliche types.

There is some heat between Baz and Will and the book probably does work better as erotica than it does as romance. But again, there is too much going on in the story and even the erotic scenes could be developed further.

Book four in the Calendar Men series

Will is certain there’s truth to the phrase that no good deed goes unpunished.

But all is not smooth sailing, and a murder complicates the personal issues both men are already struggling with.

Will is a nurse who got involved with the charity photo shoot through his job. Geoffrey (the boyfriend) is a doctor at the hospital and Will knows they aren’t a good match, but stuck it out for several months despite the fact that Geoffrey is not good to him. After yet another argument, Will breaks up with Geoffrey, then it all started getting weird. Baz is working in his uncles restaurant when the lovely Will comes in to eat. Baz is instantly attracted and the wooing commences apace!

Will is a charming character who get embroiled in al kinds of drama following the charity photo shoot. Baz is really likeable too, but their sweet little love story is tainted by murder and mischief. I really enjoyed this read. It’s a quick one at only 127 pages, but is none the worse for that. Its cute, funny, sexy and a bit scary. I’ve enjoyed the whole series so far.

I really like that there are shifters in the stories, but this isn’t the main cause of the storyline or the angst. It’s the same really with the queerness of the main characters. It isn’t the main focus, it just is. I like that.

Recommended.

Will is posing for a charity calendar and the whole shoot has been riddled with problems! The reshoots have given him a lot of stress, not to mention boyfriend problems. Geoffrey is more and more jealous of the other models. When Geoffrey pushes Will too far, he decides he's had enough. He breaks things off with Geoffrey and feels the tension leave his body.

Deciding to treat himself to a great post-breakup dinner, Will unexpectedly meets Baz. Will quickly sees he is the man of his dreams. Unable to stay away, Will is smitten. After all his prior dating problems, Will doesn't trust himself and his feelings. It is quick, but he knows what he feels.

Things take a turn when problems with Geoffrey arise. Will Baz bolt and leave Will in his dust??

I have enjoyed this whole Calendar Men series. Mr. April was a little different, but I enjoyed it. There is drama, mystery, and oh so hot sexiness in each book and they are fun, short reads!
