Maggie, a widow whose husband died overseas, is a hardworking mom, raising her young son and working in her cafe. Her brother-in-law, Jake, just out of the military, comes to visit, and to help Maggie any way he can, honoring his promise to his brother. What Jake didn’t count on was having feelings for Maggie that went beyond those of just a brother-in-law. This romance has its ups and downs, and a tense moment or two, but promises to be a sweet read. It’s a nice story, with likable characters, and no villains to spoil it.

This is the third book in this series ,I have enjoyed reading all of them. This story is about a widow Maggie and her Son. She gets reacquainted with her Brother In Law . It's a good read O hope you like this Author's books so read them. I'm looking forward to #4.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the candle beach series and hope to read more about Charlotte and Angel. It was quite fun to immerse myself into the lives of the people of candle beach.

Another winner
Maggie had been thru so much and made a great life for her and her son. She needed someone to help her out. Jake has see a lot of war and needed some love. I am glad they helped each other out.

A younger brother was smitten at once with Maggie, in the service, and killed before Alex was born,Jake now retired from the service, keeping a promise to his brother to look after them. Taking care of Alex for awhile, till he got a job. She had her hands full will the diner, and.now catering, plus being in a wedding. While Alex wanted someone to play catch with.
A house with a barn, big enough for parties and more kids. Could this time, turn to be a family affair. Good enjoyable finding love and family.

Truly a Sweet Promise
Sweet Promises was a really enjoyable book. It was sweet that a brother wanted to honor a promise to his brother, that should anything happened to him as he fought in the middle east, he would take care of his wife and little son. What a delight that he truly fell in love with them both, and they also felt the same!

Interesting
I like the energy Maggie has, and the enthusiasm she puts into everything. Just found her a bit annoying, in how she doesn't ask for assistance when she miscalculates. Enjoyed the relationships in the story. Liked the ending.

This is the third Candle Beach Novel Ive read and I enjoyed it just as much as the first two. Its lite reading, perfect for a quick read. I really enjoy the characters.

Jake and Maggie . She was a service widow with a six year old son . He was the brother of her deceased husband who was retired after 20 years at age of 38. He decides to visit them as he had promised brother to take care of them . Sweet love story/very tame one !

Being an army brat myself, so glad that Maggie has gotten her forever love and that it's someone who can understand what she has been through and needs not only for her but for Alex too.

I started this series last summer and just found this book and the next to continue the series. This is what I consider a beach read. Simple, doesn't take much effort to follow along and it is entertaining. Good book and narrator!

A perfectly well written feel good romance! Love the series and all of its characters come full circle. Great page turner and feel good romance!
