One hot night can melt the coldest of hearts...

Emerald Mountain Ski Hut caretaker Morgan Monroe doesn’t do casual relationships. Not anymore. Certainly not with the obnoxious, flirty, too-hot-for-his-own-good chef she’s wanted to strangle all season. He’s the kind of man she wouldn’t date in a million years, even if he were the dating type.

Chef Dan Griffin doesn’t believe in relationships. But a one-night stand to celebrate the end of ski season? Hell yes! Especially with the gorgeous caretaker. She’s sexy but melt-in-your-mouth sweet, the kind of woman who could convince a man to get serious…if he were the relationship type. She kept her distance all winter, but he’s hoping he can convince her to get closer for one night of passion.

When things heat up on a cold winter’s night, will they play it safe or follow their hearts?

Compulsive tea drinker. Outdoor sports junkie. Lover of good (and bad) puns.

Stacy Gold gave up her day job as Communications Director of a nonprofit mountain biking organization to write sassy, steamy, contemporary romance novels. Her stories are packed with strong, independent women finding love and adventure in the great outdoors (Think Sarina Bowen or Elle Kennedy, but with skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, etc. instead of hockey/team sports).

When Stacy’s not busy reading or writing, you can find her dancing, laughing or playing hard in the mountains with her wonderful hubby and happy dogs.

Morgan Monroe hates Chef Dan with a fiery passion. He’s a total player (or so she thinks) who’s been trying to get into her pants all ski season. Never in a million years would she sleep with him, let alone have a fling with insufferable Danny-Boy.

Dan loves cooking and making women moan is his specialty. He’s a man who likes to have fun and is looking to end the ski season with hottie Morgan in his bed. Improbable considering how she throws him the death stare cold enough to form icicles. But a man has to try, right? He throws out all the stops and stops flirting with her long enough to listen to her confessions. He questions his casual relationship mantra. Morgan lights up his body with desire but also ignites his mind. Is he ready to let another woman in or will it be Never You?

I must admit, I didn’t like this one as much as I liked Stacy Gold’s previous books. I don’t really care for the whole enemies-to-lovers trope and I found it hard to believe Morgan would go from seething to panting in one night. While I understand Morgan is jaded against men for very specific reasons, her grinding hatred was predominant.

I did, on the other hand, love Chef Dan. He’s a total flirt and has his own issues. A man hiding behind a mask filled with pain and fear. His love of food reminded me of my husband and Stacy Gold is very descriptive in her describing the food.

Steamy scenes were enough to melt a cup full of ice cubes and I, again, thoroughly enjoyed the skiing parts.

If you love workplace romances, this is a must-read! Fun, flirty, hot!

My Rating: 4 stars

Dan Griffin is a gregarious, talkative, music loving flirt and fantastic chef. His cheesy, corny pick-up lines and innuendos had me chuckling a few times. He’s close to and very supportive of his mom and sisters. He learned to cook to help his mom out after his dad died. He doesn’t do relationships. He’s hoping to end the last night of ski season tangled up with Morgan before moving on to his next assignment.

Morgan Monroe (her last name is never mentioned in the book, only in the blurb) is a loner. She has school loans to pay off and is focusing on finding a job where she can put her degree to use. She doesn’t do casual and especially not with the too good looking for his own good player that’s been irritating her all season.

Dan goes all out in his final attempt at seducing Morgan. When he finally takes the time to get to know her a little better, he becomes smitten. A lot happens in a short amount of time and pages yet it all flows smoothly. If you can overlook the unrealistic parts of the story and take it for what it is, a quirky, fun, light romance it is a good read. Although the ending felt a little too abrupt.

You probably could never find two more diametrically opposed individuals than the two individuals Stacy Gold has created for this book; two individuals who came to work at the Emerald Mountain Ski Hut one skiing season.

On one hand you’ve got Morgan Monroe who has the caretaker who’s essentially running the show at the ski hut; making sure everyone who comes there is taken care of. Morgan’s the type of woman any man would simply drool over if they could only make her their own. While many women could see themselves having a relationship with any cool hunk that should happen to come by, just so they’d wouldn’t be lonely; for Morgan, if it isn’t going to be a serious relationship, the guy needs to just go away and find someone else to screw around with.

On the other hand, you’ve got Dan Griffin, who has far as committed relationships are concerned, they don’t even exist; for he’s only basically interested in one-nights with any woman who’s willing to have him for that night. And even though he might be a hot hunk, Dan’s overly eager tenacity to get Morgan into his pants, he comes off as being quite intolerable; a quality in a man which causes her to totally ignore him as if he was the plague.

Yet, just like the most popular girl in high school allowing herself to be seen with the most nebbish boy at her school at the end of the school year, Morgan lets Dan to have his long-sought desire to be with her at the end of the skiing season.

If you can remember at the end of the movie “Animal House” how the women of the sorority come to realize that love with a nerd can be far more satisfying than the ones they’ve been having with the sanctimonious members of another fraternity and football team. Then you can wonder whether the same thing will happen as Morgan spends a night in bed with lover boy Dan. Will Morgan come to realize Dan’s not as half as bad as she’s made him out to be? Can Morgan see herself spending the rest of her life with him? Will Morgan remain sexually passive during this night, or will she play it loose allowing everything to happen naturally and without any of her inhibitions getting in the way of her being with Dan?

Gold’s steamy writing is such that it can warm the cockles of a reader’s heart and possibly having them wet their panties. The remoteness of the ski cabins, the coldness and snow make for a cozy environment for romance to take place.

For having given her readers a story which shows love could actually take place with a co-worker one might abhor, I’ve given Ms. Gold the 5 STARS she’s getting from this reviewer.

A short story but a very good story about two people that had been working together for a snow season, but did not do anything about the feelings they had for one another until the last two days. Morgan Monroe has been the caretaker and is not looking for a relationship. She especially does not want anything close to one with Chef Dan Griffin, who she believes is a player. She does like the food that he makes and after they spend a night talking she agrees to meet him in Seattle weeks later. When she does it will be with his family, mom and two sisters. What she finds out about him the night they spend together and when they met at his family’s home gives her hope, but will it be enough to start the oven with the hot chef? Read this fun fast paced story to find out. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

This was a quick read at only one-hundred fifteen pages but it was nice to be back for book three in the Emerald Mountain series with Never You. This time it is chef Daniel and ski hut caretaker, Morgan’s story. It’s playful, irreverent and steamy with lots of innuendos. Morgan has avoided Dan most of the season since she thinks he’s a player only looking for one night stands. He can’t wait to get closer to her on their last night on the mountain but is it why she thinks? They definitely have chemistry and mesh together as they try to figure out what the other is really looking for. Dan surprises himself when his thoughts are going in the opposite of his usual direction.

We get to learn a little about them and who they are. I liked the closeness Daniel has with his family – his mom and two sisters ,who he’s helped care for since his dad died eighteen years before. I liked the vivid descriptions of the mountain, the snow, the skiing, the food and the hut. It made me feel like I was there. The story flows smoothly and had some closure but an epilogue would have been nice since the story ended too abruptly for me. There was a hint of a happily-ever-after in the future.

I have read all three books in the Emerald Mountain series. I look forward to reading more books by Gold although I hope that some will be full length novels.

I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book

Never You by Stacy Gold a new to me author that I'll be checking out more books by. A spicy storyline with great character development and dialogue. A book that pulls you in from the first page. I haven't read any of the Emerald Mountain series but this book was almost a standalone. I look forward to reading more of the series and more by this author.

Never You was a great read.
I really like the enemies to lovers trope and Stacy gold did an amazing job writing it.

Daniel is not Morgan favourite person. He is a flirting playboy and Morgan tried to stay away from him during her seasonal work at the hut but her will was put to test during their last day together when the tourists were gone and she had a very good time with the chef, knowing him better.

This novella is pretty hot because Daniel and Morgan sexual chemistry is over the top, together they could melt a glacier.

I have never read this author before, so I am happy I got the opportunity too. This is book three in the Emerald Mountain series. I loved Dan. He was funny and so into his cooking. He made me hungry. It was described so well. I also liked the fact that there is detail about the mountain and skiing.

Morgan is taking care of the hut and making sure everything is running smoothly during the season. She is hoping to stay on through summer as well. She likes her peace when she has earned time to go and just be. Morgan wants long term, not just one night. Not even for the sexy kick-ass chef.

Dan is very into himself. He knows he is sexy and that he is a kick-ass chef. He loves to watch peoples faces especially Morgan when they eat. The sounds they make. Food Porn. I, like I said loved Dan. he has this huge heart and I got that right away from the beginning with his interaction on the phone with his family. There is more to him than what is on the surface.

This was a fun, quick easy and charming read. You can feel the lust and desire between them. Even when one doesn’t want to. It was easy to follow along even though I hadn't read the other books in the series. This was a well-rounded read. I like the character development and how they progressed. I just wish the end gave me just a bit more. Join Morgan and Dan and see where their attractions lead.

This is written really well and honestly, I expected something different than what this was. This was sweet in a way, two emotionally guarded individuals fight falling in love. It was an even, slow, long read for me, that I wish was more interesting.

I was given an ARC for my honest opinion.

This was a quick and cute read. Dan is the chef at Emerald Mountain Ski Resort and Morgan is the Ski Hut caretaker. They're on their last day of working at the resort and Dan is determined to hook up with Morgan. Morgan has other thoughts though and she isn't wanting to get involved with anyone casually. Dan's personality was a bit off-putting in the beginning for me. He was cocky and a bit too determined to charm the pants off Morgan. But just like Morgan, I misjudged him and he turned out to be a charming guy who had a big heart underneath all that flirtation. Morgan wasn't my favorite heroine, but i liked her once I found out more about why she acted the way she did. And she gave Dan a chance once she finally stopped making assumptions about him. It was sweet to see them come together and take the next step towards a relationship. And surprisingly, it was Dan who wanted one and had to convince Morgan to give him a chance.

My only complaint was that I wanted more from the ending to see how their relationship progressed down the road.

I would recommend this book if you want something that packs some heat, but also gives you a quick and easy love story.

Morgan does not like Chef Dan one bit! He's a player, an insufferable flirt, and so annoying! He's been flirting with her all ski season at the ski resort they work at. No way would he ever get in her pants!

Chef Dan is pulling out all the stops tonight! Morgan has been icy to his advances all season long, so tonight he is going to woo her with his amazing food! A way to a girl's heart is through her stomach, right??? or something like that!

I really liked Dan and his quirky come on's! They were funny! Once Morgan started to get to know him a little better, her icy resolve started to melt. Both characters has their own issues, but worked to dispel them.

Overall a fun and flirty romance! The sexy scenes were hot!! The food descriptions sounded amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed all the skiing aspects! So much fun!

I'm a huge fan of Stacy Gold and her latest installment in this series didn't disappoint. I beta read this novel, but liked it so much I bought a copy, as well. While Morgan and Dan aren't my favorite pair in the series (that would be Taya and Jordan, JUST FRIENDS - you should totally read it), I think they have the strongest emotional arc and each go through the biggest changes. Another strong addition to one of my favorite series.

This is a great story full of sizzling romance, lust, adventure, danger and passion. The characters are well developed and have depth. It is well written and the way she describes the ski scenes make you remember what it's like to be there. The story line has enough tension and spark to keep your interest until the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and can recommend for a steamy quick read.

A snappy, sexy bite of romance in the snow.

Never You has a refreshing answer to Romancelandia's question: how can you possibly trust that outrageously hot, flirty guy not to break your heart? On their last day working on the mountain, Morgan is trying her best to avoid "horn-dog hottie" Dan but his sweet and dogged overtures are rapidly wearing down her emotional barriers. (And the man can cook!) Somehow, even with less than 24 hours together, Dan and Morgan manage to reveal their true selves to each other.
I misjudged him so badly, for so long, just because he's gorgeous.
Despite the New Adultish story, I enjoyed the realistic and grown-up progression of Morgan and Dan's relationship in just a short while. There's no insta-love, or grand gesture, or quick fixes; just two people trying to decide if they want to take that emotional leap.
"Relax, Morgan. I'm not asking you to marry me.... All I'm asking for is a dinner date."
Stacy Gold is a new author to me, and I found myself really enjoying this unexpectedly short but sweet story with enough steam to keep me interested. Looking forward to more adventures on Emerald Mountain.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Cute guy wants girl and girl resists. While this is a typical premise to an average book, Stacy Gold has turned the story into more. First I liked the unique setting, remote ski hut and was pleased that Stacy made her characters realistic. This was a good story with humor and a quick read that will allow you to get wrapped up into Morgan and Daniels story.

Morgan is the Emerald Mountain ski hut caretaker and doesn’t do casual relationships. Dan is the chef and doesn’t believe in relationships. Can he convince her to spend a wild night with him or will he get more than he bargained for? This was a fast-paced read with fun and interesting characters. The sex is steamy and the story held my interest throughout. I liked it.

Cute, sexy romance.

Stacy Gold's novella Never You had a couple of interesting twists that made the plot a little different than a lot of your romances.
Morgan and Daniel were both multi layered characters whose true personalities slowly get revealed through the course of the book. This is a great book for those times when you have a limited amount of time and want a complete story.

Well, to find out you'll need to pick up a copy and read Never You, Book 3 in Stacy Gold's Emerald Mountain series. The book is as steamy and hot as the setting is crisp and cold. The beautiful descriptions of the mountains and the snowfall make the setting magical. The storyline is sweet, sexy, steamy and leaves you smiling. It’s the perfect quick read.
I really love the imagery used in the book, it affects all your senses and captives your attention. Is there anything more beautiful than picturing ‘rays of gold spot lighting the snow through the dense, dark green…fir and spruce trees’? Apologies for stealing moments and not doing justice to your descriptions that so vividly put the audience right there in the snowy mountains.

Never you is third in the emerald mountain series and we have Daniel and Morgan. She cares for the hut and he's the chef. Her dislike of his very existence has kept him at arms length all season. He knows he has to stay away from her. The strength, resilience, and her attitude are key ingredients to heartbreak and he just isn't made for relationships.

The last day of the season will change both of them. But come daylight will they reunite or be separated forever? It like the rest are quick to read and enjoyable.

Never You takes place in the idyllic setting of a backcountry ski hut. Morgan is the caretaker and has little patience for the egotistical chef and rumored player Daniel. Daniel is attracted to Morgan and being it's the last day of the season tries all his wiles to get her to sleep with him. The flirty sparring leads to a burning heat. The ski scenes are top notch and shows a playful side of the couple. A slow burn romance that shows people aren't always who your perceive them to be. I recommend pouring a hot beverage and savor this "wintry" romance.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author. (netgalley) I have to say that I was bored, I tried I did, I would start then put down, then start again, but it dragged for me..I just couldn't do it. I thought Morgan was not the nicest person, she actually annoyed and then of course we have the non-committal man-ho..He thought he was charming her, and she was annoyed with him..Yeah, couldn't do..

Dan and Morgans book it my favorite from this series. I have enjoyed them all but I just loved the love-hate relationship these two had. I did not Morgan too much, in the beginning, she could be a little annoying at times but as the book went on you cannot help but come round to her. A super enemies to lovers romance

This was a good book. I really liked Morgan and the fact that she is a strong independent woman. I wasn’t too crazy about Dan for the first half of the book, he was just too corny for my taste. I did start to like him towards the end of the book, and wished it had been longer. I will definitely be reading more from Stacy.
