All hell breaks loose when the uber sexy marine returns home…
It was bad enough that Natalie Chase was worried that her best friend was engaged to a criminal. But… it's double trouble for her when Luke, her best friend's mouthwateringly gorgeous older brother, comes home from the Marines and messes with her emotions. With his sexy smile, and cocky attitude, Luke was sinful temptation. 100% irresistible. But…if you play with fire you will get burned. He's the only man she's ever had real feelings for, but his rejection years ago broke her heart. It would be a mistake to fall for this man again…
Too sweet, and not his type…
That was what Luke Donovan used to think about Natalie. Until the day when she threw herself at him wearing nothing but her barely there negligée. That was nearly ten years ago, but that image never left his mind. Now home, and forced to put his life into perspective, she had all his attention. Her innocent gaze that made his blood boil with lust. Her sultry, fantasy body that was built to drive men wild. It wasn't in his nature to allow what he wanted to get away from him. He made the mistake of doing so once before. It wouldn't happen again. This time he was determined to make her his.

I must sound like i am contradicting myself ...'cause or but it is true ... i don't really enjoy military reads ... let me explain please. i don't like crying ... and the things that these folks go through and deal with during and after their terms or service in the is just i can not imagine ... i prefer to have a happy side of the world or life ... this read was amazing ... i am new to Bella's writing! PTSD. I had to keep reading ... although it was tough at times ... i couldn't lay it down .. I had to know the ending. such a great read. well done. such a fan. ( ;
To stay or go is the most important decision Luke who is a Recon Marine Lieutenant will ever have to make in his life. He chose to go be a marine when Natalie, his sister’s best friend, declares her love to him and asks him to stay the day before he leaves to start his career. Ten years later he returns when he escapes being held by a terrorist group and comes home to recuperate, the Marine’s give him six months to decide to either come back or retire. His choice is made harder when he sees Natalie again and he acts upon the feelings he has been harbouring for her. Natalie is wary to start anything up with him, she’s scared he will leave and never come back, not wanting to open herself up and have to deal with whether he will come home from the next mission. An old saying comes to mind after reading this, “better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”, and is so fitting with everything that Natalie goes through with her fear and love for Luke. I loved Luke and his easy going nature and the way he handled what happened to him, not only that but the decision he comes to and how he comes to it....WOW...I felt like I was sitting next to him as everything was going through his mind and how he felt. The emotions radiated off the pages for both Luke and Natalie and I even got a bit misty eyed at times. I loved how the author didn’t portray Luke as a man wh*** or womanizer, didn’t talk about his past women and how he felt about his friends and what they did in Vegas....perfect man in my eyes. An amazing read with steamy scenes, hope, love, hard decisions to be made, two people who deserved a HEA, and a couple, Luke and Natalie, who made it into my top 10 couples....worth more than 5 stars !!! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is my first book by this author but not my last. Natalie is back home working for her BFF's father and loving her job. If only her mom would understand what she does is important. Natalie's life takes a bit of a turn when her best friends brother comes home to recuperate. Luke is someone she has had feelings for forever but the last time she tried to give herself to him he rejected her. Bella gives us two characters- Natalie and Luke - who make the reader want to know what is happening with them, even if they don't get together. You can see Natalie trying to protect herself but not really wanting to because she wants Luke. You can see Luke acting cocky around Natalie because he too wants her but he realizes he blew it last time. Luke and Natalie work together to get his sister to see her fiance is a criminal. Working on something that isn't their relationship gives them a chance to focus on more than just their attraction. Luke needs to decide if he will stay or go back. Natalie wants him to stay but won't impose her wishes on him. A nice love story that was years in the making. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
Wow what a wonderful story by Bella! This story is about Luke and Natalie. Luke is a lieutenant in the Marines and was injured after escaping being taken by terrorists and sent home to recover for 6 months. Luke is at a turning point in his life, retire or return to active duty. What will this decision do to his everyday life? Natalie has been in love with Luke forever and gave in to him one time 10 years ago and he left for the service running from her. Natalie does not know if she has it in her to let Luke in again as her pride and heart may not survive it again. They have an amazing journey and connection does Luke have what it takes to follow through to win Natalie’s heart? Luke’s need for Natalie may just find a way into his life or will she walk away afraid he will not return from a mission? This is my first book by her and can not wait for another. This first book in the new romance line by Bella Fontaine is wonderfully romantic. I absolutely loved this story from the first page to the last. Luke a marine has returned home to recuperate after being captured by terrorists. He has six months to decide whether to leave the marines are stay. Natalie his sister's best friend has loved Luke since she was a teenager. Ten years ago, Natalie begged Luke stay and professed her love for him but he rejected her and left. The only thing that kept Luke alive and sane during his capture was the thought of seeing Natalie again. Now realizing what he gave up, he wants her in his life. Natalie is still in love with Luke but can she trust that he won't break her heart again? Will they get their second-chance? “Only You” is an extremely entertaining story, a sexy, heartwarming romance and one you definitely must read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I’ve ended up with a collection of fantastic second-chance romances lately. This book fits right in there with the best of them. For anybody who didn’t know, I’m a sucker for a military hero, and I get especially weak-kneed for the wounded warriors – like Luke. Home on leave after a mission that went tragically wrong, Luke has to deal with his ghosts: past, present, and future. Nearly ten years ago, Natalie begged Luke not to go and join the military, now he’s back and she has to deal with everything that means; whether it’s returning to active service once his leave is up or if this time he’s home to stay. I loved watching this pair work through all the emotions their estranged past has left. I also appreciated seeing the healing that took place in the families while these two tried working their issues out. And the diverting little financial mystery gives us a wonderful cameo appearance of Nick Wylder. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
A well written story with nice storyline and plot. I like the characters and they are well described. They also develop nicely through the story.
I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The twists makes you just want to read more. It is very captivating and I read it in one setting. The words flows nicely of the pages. The characters have an amazing chemistry and passion between them.
The story has heartbreak, teenage crush, hurt feelings, passion, some hotness, twists and emotional ups and downs. I would have liked that the story did not confuse me sometimes because of the timeline. It did not fit right all the time. A fast paced story that has drama at times.
Natalie has always loved her best friends brother Luke but he broke her heart when he joined the military Now ten years later Luke is a marine and has returned on a six month break after a disastrous mission. He wants to start a relationship with Natalie but will he just break her heart again. At first Luke wasn't that easy to like but as the story developed so did his character Will he put Natalie first and will they have a chance at love you need to read to see.
Over all this was a great read in the military genre that I can highly recommend
I was given an ARC copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
Ten years ago, Luke left to join the Marines, but came home unsure of what is next. Ten years ago, Natalie laid her heart on the line, just to have it refused. Now he is determined to win her over. Will Natalie let down her walls? Will Luke find out what he is supposed to do next?
Loved these two. I loved the fact that both had such a strong back story together. I didn't blame either for their reactions, but was proud when both were willing to help each other. Loved Luke's protectiveness and his love towards Natalie. I didn't blame Natalie for being scared, but was proud when she decided to take that leap. Great read!

It was a good story, reunited loves/friends/taboo after 10 years apart since he join the Marines and pushed a 19 year old at the time away with broken heart of teenage crush. But the story was way too sweet and tame for me and not really steamy in my opinion, nor was the Marine all that alpha-ness( he is very needy for Natalie, instead of seeing a therapist he needed Nat in his life all the time). There was a lot more dialogue then conversations, it would be nice for a gap in time slots (ex. Nat left Luke the next morning looking sweet... and a sentence later... she was searching his name on the computer at work(work came out later in the paragraph) time slots throw me). Good overall.
Nathalie always had a crush on her best friends brother Luke, but never thought he was interested. He's in the marines and just returned home after a mishap. The attraction and chemistry between them is explosive. He's used to getting what he wants and he wants her. Lots of drama and surprises. Tension with her friend and her choices. A good read that was well written with likeable characters and an entertaining story line. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review. This book will keep your kindle smokin... It's always been only you.
A beautiful second chance romance of Luke and Natalie. They have known each other their whole lives, ten years ago Luke was leaving for the marines and Natalie told him she loved him and tried to seduce him. Unfortunately, he turned her down and left. Now he's back home and those feeling she thought she buried are back, does he feel the same way. After losing all of his men on his last mission, will this put a different perspective to his life or will he go back fighting for his country? This is a well written story with characters that show honestly, friendship, family, loyalty and love.
Unrequited love can sting, but Natalie has a whole new experience with Luke, a Marine and best friends brother, when he comes to town again. Their chemistry is amazing, although I wish I had more context on Luke. I definitely want to love him from the start, but he won my heart in the end. Natalie is fabulous and endearing. The plot has some surges and dips, but it's always incredibly engaging. Wonderful read that I highly recommend. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
Natalie has had feelings for her best-friend’s brother since she was a kid. At nineteen she wanted him to be her first but he rejected her and join the Marines. Now he is back and doesn’t plan on making that mistake again. This is a fast paced read with plenty of drama and emotion. The characters really drew me into the story. The read held my interest and the chemistry is steamy. A Good Read!
In this book we find ourselves at a crossroads so to speak. It's hard to truly understand what a person goes through when they are held captive and knowing that they will die. In this story we find a man faced with that and so much more. By the time we are through most of the book we see so many changes and are so happy that their lives are forever changed. This book is so worth the read. 5 stars absolutely. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy
I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review. A very heartwarming coming of age/young adult romance. Natalie has loved Luke since she was nineteen. He went into the Marines for ten years and after being a POW he escaped and came home. He realized that he still had feeling for Natalie but he was torn between his duty and his love for Natalie. A very good story
Sometimes love doesn't die but can Natalie and Luke find a way to make it work? The struggles the characters were going through was well written - Natalie trying to overcome her reluctance to getting involved with Luke while he was still in the military and trying to determine if there is a reason she has such strong feelings against Jessica's finance. And then there is Luke's wrestling with the decision of whether to stay in the military or leave.
Only You is a beautiful second chance/military romance. Luke and Nat is that couple you know are destined to be together, as soon as they get past themselves. I enjoyed being part of their individual growth. Definitely a recommended read! I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
This was such a sweet story about two people finding their way to one, another.I love that the writer doesn't weight the story down with unnecessary drama. The story centers around two people trying to do what's best for the other without losing themselves. This was good writing and a wonderful story to share, with with a friend.
Such a heartfelt story. Natalie is such a strong, beautiful woman who is frightened to love her man because she may lose him when he is on a mission. Luke is so hot, funny and torn between doing the job he loves or staying at home to love the woman he has loved for so long. Lovely story bringing these two together. Read an ARC fir an honest review.
Good chemistry, a sexy alpha male and strong emotions help create on engaging and entertaining read. Plot is involving and the emotional turmoil is realistic. A very enjoyable read. I'm posting a voluntary, honest review after reading this book.
It was a sweet story. Although I did not like the fact that she did not go to her boss first with her findings. How she went about it could have put her in more danger.
Excellent read... great storyline; fully developed characters; twists and turns that keep the action flowing; and a HEA that is worth the wait. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and enjoyed it.) ❤️
I think this is my first time reading this author and I loved it !! I loved the characters you can relate to them and I love a man in uniform !! This book has everything you want in a awesome romance!! Highly recommended!!! **I voluntarily reviewed a Advanced Reader copy of this book **
Good read, Nat and Luke love story a little intense. She loved him from the beginning and the image of her keep him going while serving as a marine in captivity. I would liked more on her friends, more connection with the other characters.
A very heartwarming and emotional story. Natalie and Luke had so many obstacles with his Guilt.with losing his Comrades in arms and her being insecure of his feelings when she tired to seduced him before he left. A truly remarkable story and I hated that it ended.
Natalie and Luke finally came together after so many years apart. Good for them. This book had a good premise with good characters. I wished it allowed me to feel more instead of just telling me.
