Sophia…

I’ve only ever been Sophia Reid, the quiet girl from—and going—nowhere. If I ever want to escape the torment of my memories, and the murderer in our shadow, I need to die.

Jameson told me his story started and ended with me. Now I need to figure out who I am, who we are, and lay to rest the mysteries of our past, so our story can begin.

Jameson…

I belong by Sophia’s side. If we ever get out of this nightmare, I’ll make her my wife, and I’ll give her everything she needs to make her happy.

But right now, nowhere is safe. We left Florida, driving through deserts, across mountains, heading to Sophia’s old home in Oregon. Hopefully there, she’ll find peace…and answers.

I’ve spent my life trying to outrun death. But now, death may be the only thing that can save us.

As a 3 book series, 5 Stars!!

What an awesome series! This series from Fiona Keane has literally kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. These are the first books that I have read from this author, and I am so impressed! I’m so happy that I waited to read them until all three were released. I loved the conclusion and the growing connection between Jameson and Sophia. I will admit that there were times in Somewhere Bound that I wish Sophia’s character would have been a little stronger. I felt that when she needed to buck up a little, Jameson had to baby her just a bit. It was nothing that would change my impression of the story, I just know that I had a harder time with Sophia this time around. Other than that, I think this series is one that everyone should be reading! I really enjoyed it, and I’m excited to see what’s next for Fiona Keane!

4 1/2 Stars!

Somewhere Bound is book three is the Foundlings series. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read the first two before reading this one. Sophia and Jameson are really great and interesting characters. Their story sucked me in from beginning to end. There was a time I wanted to yell at the characters because I was scared for them but the things I was worried about really turned out not to be bad. I never really know what was going to happen next and I liked that. This one was a really good series.

I NEED A 4TH BOOK!! Why does every YA book I read lately leave me desperately yearning for that HEA? I need to know Jameson and Sophia don’t get caught for doing you know what, that Sophia finds out Lucas is you know who and that Jameson and Sophia get married (trying to avoid spoilers!).

If there is to be a 4th book in this ‘trilogy’(😅) then the ending is awesome, leaves me wanting more; if there’s no 4th book, the ending is rubbish, it leaves me needing more.

Here we are … at what is supposed to be the end to the Foundlings Series by Fiona Keane…. You are wondering I can see it why I choose to say “supposed to be” … well I have to be honest … the series is at an end but it feels like there could be something coming. Not that there are any loose ends but it feels like some questions of a rather personal nature are not explored. One reader might be totally fine by that but another (like myself) feels that there could be something more especially given the nature of the complete story. A different kind of epilogue might have done wonders in that area (at least for me)

My reviews are usually mostly about how I felt while I read a book and in this book something was on my mind constantly. Like the blurb suggests – our leads need to die so how would you feel if you needed to die (not in a paranormal vampire kind of way or in a like being dead in the end but simply die for everyone you used to know) ….. I think this book explores quite well how the leads feel about that and it was like watching them losing the rest of the little that they still had. On one hand they felt so well adjusted to their situation on the other hand everything spiraled out of control. The story gives the reader one whiplash after the other.

There was one thing bugging me though.

So the series came to its end and how do I feel about that. I am not sure that I would have made it a trilogy because I feel the plot would have suited a duet just fine for several reasons that would give to many spoilers if I tried to explain them. Also the “tone” that was set in the first book changed dramatically in the second, the third book was following the second when it came to that. What do I think about that change in tone? Well I am not sure – both of the ways the story was brought to the reader were fine but I preferred the first one. And for a trilogy I think you should only use one so there is that.

I loved the first book to pieces and maybe that is another reason why I feel a duet would have been better because the field would be more even as the first two books kind of steal fire from the last book. Which leaves the third book with a grand finale that kind of stands in the shadows of what the other books had. Together with the fact that the end is kind of to open without at least an epilogue dealing with certain things I can not bring myself to give the book 5 stars no matter how much I loved the first book. Actually if I hadn’t loved that book so much my final rating might even drop deeper than 4 stars for the last book.

It’s a good thing that all books are out now so readers can read them all together now experiencing the whole story instead of reading them as a trilogy, maybe the experience is different when you read them all in one.

I loved the characters but still again I felt the leads we meet in book two & three are different from those that we met in the first book. And somehow I feel kind of protective about these leads from the first book (#laughing) …
In total it is a great debut that should have maybe been published a little different but I would pick up a book from this author again at any time if the blurb appeals to me. Her writing is already good and I think given some more releases we can expect some really interesting books from here while her writing will gain that little tiny bit I was missing here.

So I really would like to recommend this new author to you to explore …

Somewhere bound (Foundlings Book 3) by Fiona Keane 2.5Stars
Jameson and Sophia are on the run. Having to leave behind everything they have come to know as they take on a new beginning. But before they can really let go of the past, Sophia first needs to address her past by going back to her hometown. When an incident occurs it catapults both Jameson and Sophia’s life into more turmoil. Can they outrun the past and present dangers? Will they eventually get a new beginning? Will Sophia finally become Jameson’s wife? In this book, the connection between Sophia and Jameson grows stronger and they learn to really lean on one another. Yet, I still did not feel the connection between the two. While the book did answer some of the questions, I am still left a bit confused as to how everything is going to be tied up. The book leaves you with no real conclusion which, could mean, another book is coming. And this is where I have a bit of a problem. I felt that book 2 and 3 were page fillers. This series could have been tied up in a duet. If the fillers had been left out, the book would have had a faster building climax and would have worked better for me personally. The series has just become too drawn out with not much really happening. I found myself skimming through pages and becoming a tad bored at times. There were lots of unanswered questions that needed clarification and for this reason, I felt a bit let down. The end was not really a conclusion and nothing has really been tied up so for me personally, this was just an okay read. I am giving this 2.5 Stars

This is Book #3 in the Foundlings series. This book started right where Book #2 2 left off. This book was wow! So many emotions. Both Sophia and Jameson have gone through so much. Each are torn from their lives as they know it in order to stay alive. What is one to do in that position? Run for your lives.

I kept thinking of Sophia's aunt, who had no idea of the man she is in love with. I wished there was her side of everything. How she felt when Sophia ran away? What she was told by Simon? How she felt when Sophia never returned?

I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is book three in a series and the first two books MUST be read prior.

Jameson...What is there to NOT love about him? Always so protective of Sophia!! Gosh, I loved how much he loved her!!! Their lives were NOT easy. Going through all the trauma they'd been through and then having to be constantly looking over their shoulders? Yeah, I agree with everything they did! Loved their relationship SO much! Their love was pure, deep, and one that would withstand anything!

I am so glad I discovered this author! I will buy and read anything she publishes! She's become a top fave author of mine, for sure! Super excited to see what new adventure she has for us!

FIVE STARS!

This is Book 3 of the Foundlings series and I have to say I love it just as much as book 1 and 2. You must read all three in order.

Jameson and Sophia have an amazing story. They both have gone through so much at such a young age.

Book 3 shows you how much they deserve each other and how good they are for each other.
Jameson’s strengths amazes me. Sophia May come off as weak but she has more courage than anyone at that age can have.

I don’t want to spoil the book so all I can say is that this is a must read.

I can’t wait to see what else Fiona Keane writes.

Received an ARC at no cost to author..I appreciated that Jameson and Sophia were still connected as they were from the start, and even though things (nope wont tell you) happened and they went thru life changing situations that no one especially teens should have to deal with. Yet they showed their loyalty to each other, he protected Sophia and she became his. I did feel as if even though we got an ending that there is more to come, and I really hope so.. Enjoy!

This series MUST be read in order. With that I will state that I am so happy that the whole series was out before I was introduced to it. I would have died waiting to see what happened next. Somewhere Bound was a good ending to the series, but I felt like there could have been more. It could go either way. I was left wondering what happened about, and what happened to and, and, and :-)

I do recommend this series to anyone who likes deep raw emotional reads!

This is the third book and the conclusion of Sophia and Jameson's story and what a ride,

Jameson is so protective of Sophia and will do anything to make her safe, these two have traveled across everything you can imagine to get back to where she is from , their past has made them stronger and I could have not made a better story than this one

This one, like the others in the series kept me hooked from the first word. As I greedily ate up the adventure and love between Jamie and Soph I fell in love. I never put it down. I picked it up and read it in one sitting much like the others. I can’t wait to see where their story will go after this. Much love to Fiona and all her characters!!

Today, I read Book 3 of the Foundlings series, SOMEWHERE BOUND, in one sitting. SOMEWHERE BOUND continues the story of Jameson and Sophia as they fight to make themselves safe--not only physically safe, but emotionally as well. Their love for each other is endless and timeless. He protects her at all costs, and she supports him in everything as they navigate their situation on their way to peace and freedom.

Nobody writes like Ms. Keane—her wonderful words make me want to read her books with a highlighter and mark every beautiful sentence. Her flow, her imagery, her lovely stories keep me entranced, as I get lost in her words. The Foundlings series, as well as the More than Friends series, are wonderful works of literary talent by Ms. Keane that stir all of my emotions and feelings and keep me turning the pages well into the night. My heart bled for Jameson and Sophia, as their adventure put them in situations that no almost-twenty-year-olds should ever have to be in.

For fans of YA adventure and romance, I highly recommend the Foundling series, starting with Book 1, NOWHERE GIRL (which, by the way, is available on Amazon for free in ebook format at the time I’m writing this review). These books need to be read in order, but no worries. You’ll enjoy each one as you get to know Jameson and Sophia.

Now please excuse me while I go recover from my book hangover! (Also, I’m going to need a Book 4!)

Perfect

Oh wow, following the journey of Sophia and Jameson has been absolutely amazing! In the conclusion to that journey, your once again held enthralled from the first page. You wonder how two people can endure so much, but so happy they have had each other throughout. I can't say enough about this series, you need to read them for yourself pronto.

Fantastic series

This series is fantastic. You become so wrapped up in the story that it’s sad when you come to the end. Not to mention the fact that you will want to reread (like me) because it’s that good. The characters are enthralling and you instantly fall in love with them. I cannot wait to see where their story leads.

2.5 stars.
This series had so much potential. I really liked book one. The tone shifted in book 2 and it wasn't as good as 1, but I was hoping it would end better in 3.

To put it succinctly, it was boring. I ended up skimming through a lot of the pages because there were just too many unnecessary scenes with nothing actually happening to further the plot. If all the scenes had a good purpose and stayed to the point, the story would have been so much better. I don't know what happened. As I said earlier, this trilogy had so much potential. Then it started to ebb in Everything Unraveled and then plummeted in Somewhere Bound.

Jameson was a good character until around the middle of Everything Unraveled. I liked being in his head. But then his character sort of changed, and his thoughts were always the same: He goes on and on about how beautiful and adorable she is and vows to protect her or whatever. (Couldn't the author at least think of another word for "beautiful" every time she made Jameson think about Sophia?) It already got old in Everything Unraveled; it was boring and cloying as it continued in Somewhere Bound. I got bored of reading his thoughts already and wanted to just finish this book already so that I could start another book.

Sophia was just frustrating. In Nowhere Girl, she was this broken, hurt, traumatized girl who was struggling so much. You understood where she was coming from and really felt for her, and when she was frustrating, you couldn't really stay frustrated at her because you understood her. However, in this book she just seemed useless.

I liked the relationship between them in Nowhere Girl, and though I didn't completely like how the author pushed things, it was still okay. However, she took things too far in this book. The romance between them was excessive, monotonous, cloying, and tiring. Jamie was just way too clingy and possessive, and they were both way too googly-eyed over each other.

Also, I was so upset that they just up and left. They left everyone who cared for them without even a proper goodbye. I know they were running for their own safety, but couldn't Jamie and Sophia at least talk to Thomas and Elizabeth? It seemed like they would've been able to help. And Olivia. I loved her! She was the best. I was so upset when they left. I so wish this story just stayed in Florida with them because I really loved all their friends. They were so good.

This series was just drawn out too long. I think it would've been a more effective, cohesive story if she had made it a duology instead of a trilogy. There were too many irrelevant scenes that felt like fillers, and an obscene amount of times where Sophia or Jameson just droned on and on for pages on how much they liked each other. I cannot tell you how many times they just jabbered on about the other and their feelings for each other and how beautiful the other was. It was saccharine and made me sick. Seriously, I get that they like each other and all, but did they have to prate incessantly about it? It got so annoying. I didn't start reading this trilogy to read the constant ramblings of two people head over heels over each other. I like romance in books, but not when it's excessive. And I especially don't like it when there's no action whatsoever.

Nothing really happened 80% of the time. It also didn't help that the climax came halfway through the book. Yes, really: halfway through the book (54% in, to be exact), they . Then it was all over way too quickly and was really anticlimactic. I was surprised it came so early and was puzzled at what the rest of the book would be about with the climax occurring and finishing halfway through the story and all. The rest, as you can guess, was as uninteresting as it sounds.

Furthermore, there was just too much swearing, and the end was abrupt. I felt like there just wasn't enough closure to the story. It sort of ended weirdly. I wish there was at least an epilogue or something to tie the loose strings.

I had high hopes for this trilogy, but in the end it was disappointing. The start was so good. If only Keane kept it up. The change in tone after 1 didn't really work too well, and I was hoping after 2 she would somehow justify it. However, she didn't, and 2 and 3 just didn't live up to 1.

Oh where does one begin in this series? When I first jumped into the Young Adult book world I was a skeptic. I didn't think I would connect with these characters. Oh what I wrong. Sophia and Jackson have this connection that is strong and maybe old souls finally connecting.

In book 1 Nowhere Girl-Foundlings - Sophia struggles with the loss of her mom and now a new life in Florida. She is struggling to feel alive and when she meets Jackson it changes everything for her. He is her strength but is it enough for both of them.

So in book 2 Everywhere Unraveled Foundlings- Jackson is doing everything he can to protect Sophia, to help her with her loss and feeling alone. But things happen that they have no control over and they have to fight for their time together.

Well damn now we are at book 3!!! Somewhere Bound Foundlings. This on right here is both of them being so strong for each that it a must for them. Things come to light about both their pasts and what dangers come. Sophia is able to be Jackson's rock, his strength as he fights with his emotions of his past and now looking at their future on the run to Canada. Jackson knows he needs to guide Sophia from the past and help her overcome the feeling alone. They have this deep soul connection that each breathe is needed to survive.

Now the ending.... Let's just hope we get more. Yes it is open ended, but I feel like we need more from the things we hear about while Jackson helps Sophia out with getting the past to her future solved. I know that sounded very cryptic..:0)

Sophia and Jameson escape Florida to be free of Simon. They are making up their plans along the way, but they keep getting impeded by trackers and other issues. Simon seems determined to finish off Jameson, but Jameson is equally determined not to leave Sophia. He wants to marry her, if they ever get out of this situation. Sophia is devoted to him, but she is struggling to escape the memories of her past. Jameson wants her to have closure before they move on to the rest of their life.

I felt that the way this trilogy ended is perfect. I finally got to experience Sophia and Jameson getting to their final stage of their relationship where they trust each other with everything. I love the fact that I have been here for the ride since the beginning, so I feel as if I have seen each character's growth. It also felt special to see them gain closure over their pasts, somewhat, and move into their futures.

Sophia has grown from a girl who was incapacitated by her panic attacks into a girl who has control over her past and herself. Jameson has grown from a boy who constantly ran from his past, into forgiving himself while opening his hear to another. I was so proud of the both of them by the end of this story.

I would recommend this trilogy to anyone looking for a YA mystery-suspense-romance novel with characters who actually grow and learn from each other.

I received this book for free and this is my voluntary review.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series, and is the conclusion of Sophia and Jameson’s journey. These two are still as protective of each other, and battling to overcome their pasts. This is well written, and a story where you cannot guess along the way at what will happen next, which I enjoyed. The only downside, in my opinion anyway, the epilogue could have been expanded on, as I felt as if I was left hanging at the end. However, that is just my opinion, and I look forward to reading more of this authors’ work in the future!

I liked it

More questions were answered. And I really like Jamison and how strong he is for Sophia. They are both dealing with a lot and twists that follow them on their new beginnings. I gave it 4 stars because I thought the ending was abrupt, there is not a mention of a fourth book. I’ll have to go look.

I'm really torn on how I feel about Somewhere Bound, Foundlings series book 3. I sucked up Nowhere Girl like there was no tomorrow. I fell in love with Jameson and Sophia and couldn't wait to see where the story took them. Book #2 felt like a lot of unnecessary filler, but there were some great moments that propelled the story further. I was so anxious to dive into #3... and I finished it feeling a little cheated.

Jameson and Sophia are still as connected as ever, and the events of their pasts have changed their present in a way that no teenager should be forced to deal with. Yet through it all, Jameson remains as protective of Sophia as ever, and she even gets the chance to play protector of him once or twice. But I was expecting more from Somewhere Bound in terms of resolving Jameson and Sophia's story, and I didn't get that.

So overall, I give Somewhere Bound 3.5 stars. I think this trilogy easily could have been made a duet, and I was left feeling like the story just ended when there were so many more questions/loose ends that needed further explanation or clarification. That easily could have been taken care of in an epilogue set years later. I suppose the door is open for more to come with Jameson and Sophia, but I didn't get the tied-up-with-a-bow ending that I expected going into Nowhere Girl knowing that this was a three-book series.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
