OMGOSH!!! Does anyone else feel like they're on fire after reading these books? Phew, hott stuff under this cover!
The Darkest Fire, though not vital to this series was still an interesting read. I'm glad they still ended up together. I've been wondering how the goddess' bones were used for Pandora's box.
The Darkest Night, totally caught me by surprise. I've read most of these books out of order so I didn't know how Ashlyn & Maddox got started & what their battles were so I was totally surprised to see how fast Maddox fell for Ashlyn & to see what she would do for him!
The Darkest Kiss, I have to admit, I didn't think I'd like this one. Just from the excerpts with Anya in them, I'd figured she'd be a slut..definitely not the case! "Don't judge a book by its cover" comes to mind for me. Lol. Anya & Lucien are too funny together. I love that she keeps him so off balance and he helps her get past her insecurities.
The Darkest Pleaure, PHEW! I don't think I put this one down once I started which really drove my husband & kids nuts. I read it before I had it in the bundle & fell in love with Reyes (can't decide if I want Gideon or him more. Lol.) He is such a sweetie & remarkably unselfish. All I have to say is Danika is one lucky girl!!
HUGE fan of the series!!

My first read by author Gena Showalter and I am quite pleased.

This is collection 1 of the series "Lords of the Underworld" and I was very excited to finally start it and was not disappointed. Each character had their own issues, personalities and battles but as they say the love a good woman will change even the toughest of them.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series by author Gena Showalter.

Well Until My Next Review Ciao Bellas!

Must read for paranormal fans!

Gena Showalter has fast become one of my favorite authors with her Lords of the Underworld series. The series is fast-paced with just the right combination of conflicts that keep readers guessing about what will happen next (and I promise you won't see it coming!). The Lords are the ultimate strong males that we all love to read about and are blazingly seductive when they find that special someone. You won't be disappointed if this is a genre you enjoy. One word of caution, skip the prequel. The prequel (first book in this bundle) does not give a true feel to the series and may be offputting. Once you get into the series, you'll be hard pressed to know who your favorite Lord is. Enjoy!

If you love Paranormal genre then this is your treasure.

This story is deeply inter wined with the Greek mythology.

Zeus with the help of other gods manage to capture the demons who plague the earth and other realms and imprison them in a box, which he give to Pandora for safeguarding.

The Lords are the warriors who work for the Greek guards, but when Zeus give the box to Pandora out of jealousy they fight against the Gods and manage to open the Box thereby releasing the demons in to the world.

Angry Zeus confront them and as a punishment he imprison the recaptured demons in to the body of the lords. The lords are now possessed by demons such as demon of death, disease, hate etc.,

The lords cannot kill the demons without killing themselves. But the demons can either find another body to possess or they can run around the world freely causing havoc. So the lords have no option but to live is isolation, way to far from the civilization.

This is the story of the lords and their female mates who captured not only their hearts but also their demons.

The Darkest Fire (novella) prequel about the goddess who's bones made Pandora's box before they were set loose

The Darkest Night is about Maddox the keeper of the demon of violence and Ashlyn Darrow who seeks the Lords to teach her to silence the voices she hears

The Darkest Kiss Anya the goddess of anarchy may have helped in the last book but ib this one she has fallen in love with Lucian keeper of the demon of death

The Darkest Pleasure Reyes is the keeper of PAIN ans his only pleasure is he causes pain to others or himself until he meets Danika (called the EYE) who is hunted herself for the dreams she has that lets her see heaven or hell

Let me start this review by saying that I only read the first book and the first couple of pages of the second book. With all the 5 star reviews, I'm sure it's great.
It took me days to read the first book. I kept thinking, I'll keep reading, then I'll get into it.
There is absolutely nothing wrong. The writing is fine, the story line is fine, it just wasn't for me.
I would have given one star since I just couldn't get into it but it's really not that bad. I reviewed it so I wouldn't accidentally try to read it again.

Demons and Humans

When Pandora's box was destroyed demons took possession of one Lord each. Unless each Lord can control their demon they wreak havoc on all around them. Hunters formed a society to save war upon these demon possessed Lords in an attempt to end the evil they perpetuate. Not all is as it seems, these stories will make you question reality in their world.

A wonderful start to a series

This contains 4 stories that beginning the Lords of the Underworld series.

First is the story of how the box came to be.

Next is my favorite Lord Maddox and his girl Ashlyn.

Lucien then falls for the lovely Anya.

Reyes, the keeper of pain goes and falls for Danika.

Such great stories.

Love the concept, really love the plot pacing. But HATE the dialogue, the contradictory descriptions (is she standing or sitting!?), and the lack of differentiation between characters.

Lords of the underworld

Okay, but I didn’t by into some of the characters, I would of liked a bit more of the actual story of getting the artifacts.

The bundle is actually the first 3 books in the series plus a prequel novella.

Not bad. If you are waiting for the last book in Meljean Brook's Guardians series to come out and are jonesing for some PNR with a focus on demons, this will do, but it's not as good.

The whole concept kind of like that Kelly Clarkson song about her dark side, you know..."Everybody's got a dark side. Do you love me? Can you love mine?" Well you can probably guess that the ladies can fall in love with the men and their awful, horrible, violent, terrible dark sides (i.e., escaped demons from Pandora's box who inhabit each warrior).

Yes, I know. Really I do. I so so so love Meljean's series and am not happy waiting for Michael's book (come out already! why isn't it 2013???), that I picked this book up.

Listen, the bundle is a super good value. Ultimately it does deliver the kind of PNR I was looking for, but it's just so inferior to the world that Meljean has built that it actually made the wait for the last book a bit worse.

I've enjoyed the prequel Darkest Fire twice now, ebook and audiobook, and was intrigued enough to proceed with the series. I particularly love the reader's deep voice on the audio book, both relaxing and provacative so I find myself listening again just to experience his telling of it. The audiobook bundle is 2 credits on audible.com but I found the whole bundle on Kindle (ebook) for only $9.99 so I grabbed it and will read them all this weekend and report back. If the rest of the stories are worthy I will likely buy the audiobook next to enjoy more of the reader's telling & voice!

If you like the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, this series will quench your thirst until the next BDB book. I must admit...I enjoyed the prequel, but found the first book of this series pretty flat. However, if you stick it out and just try to learn the characters, you will be well rewarded in the next two books.

This is your typical paranormal romance. After finishing what I thought was the first book, I realized I'd actually read the third. I honestly don't think it made much of a difference. Looking forward, it seems like all of the next books in the series are going to have the same basic plot as the one that I read so I don't think that I want to continue. I look for a bit more variety in my books.

this one is difficult to review.. as I admit I didn't like the story telling at the first, it all seemed plain and scripted too much for my liking.. however as I continued reading I started liking the characters and unpredictability of the story.. and here I am a couple books later thinking of following the series in its next steps..

Awesomeness

After reading this book I realized it was a very good read, it even made me research some myths and God's of the sorry. It has multiple character breakdowns that keep your attention. I would recommend this book.
