The Season of Silver Linings is Jada’s story. She and her two dearest friends, Linnie and Cat, restored an inn in the quaint town of Sweet Lake.

Now that her friends are occupied with love interests, Jada decides it’s her turn, too, and she finds love with a widower, Philip Kettering. She also falls for his young daughter, Fancy.

The past enters the present when a curious guest checked into the inn. This is somehow connected to something that happened several years ago, and Jada knows the truth. Will Jada find love and happiness?

Jada is a lovely friend and an endearing character. The sirens return, and of course they are always fun. If you haven’t met them, they are a group of women who live in Sweet Lake who meddle a bit and come on pretty strong, but they always mean well!

I enjoyed the mystery and it surprised me a little in the end. I think you can read Jada’s story without having read Cat and Linnie’s, but then you’d also be missing out on the charm of the whole series, and that is simply not to be missed.

The Season of Silver Linings pulls on all your emotions. There are sweet moments, emotional, tearful ones, and then of course the laughter! The setting of Sweet Lake is a character unto itself, and I hope it will be revisited in future books by Nolfi! I’m already excited because she has a new book coming out this summer!

I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓇𝓂𝒾𝓃𝑔. 𝐸𝓃𝑔𝒶𝑔𝒾𝓃𝑔. 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓁.

Christine Nolfi has crafted a magical story packed with engaging and quirky characters. This is the third book in the Sweet Lake series. I don’t think not having read the prior books impacted my enjoyment of the story, however if I ever have the time I’d love to go back and read the previous books. Jada owns the wayfair Inn along with her Bestiess Cat and Linnie. Jayda is an exceptional baker and has taken on a lot of the responsibility at the Inn due to her partners new romances. Jada has been getting closer to Philip and his adorable six-year-old precocious daughter Fancy. But Jayda has things in the past she needs to come to terms with and now there is a stranger in town asking questions that might just force her to do so.

One of my favorite things in Books is strong female friendships and this book had that in spades. Not only did we have the friendship between Jayda, Cat, and Linnie, but we also have the Sweet Lake Sirens. The Sirens are a group of eccentric colorful older ladies that love to stick their nose into everyone else’s business, love them! Jayda was a great character and I’d really really love her to bake me some baked goods, I spent a lot of this book craving a cinnamon roll! The romance between Jada and Philip was sweet, I always love the friends to lovers trope. BUT the star of this book was Fancy! This little six-year-old was so sassy and spunky, she had such a big heart and a love for all things that glitter. There is also a bit of a mystery to the story and some twists that led to a surprising ending.

I love stories with small-town vibes and eccentric characters and this one was done exceptionally well. I also really like the magical and mysterious elements to the story, it added another layer. I think this book will appeal to lovers of women’s fiction books full of lively characters and strong female friendships. I am hoping that this is not the end to this charming series.

*** huge thanks to Lake Union for my gifted copy ***

Thank you to Suzy Approved Book Tours and Lake Union/Amazon publishing for my copy of this book!

Wouldn't it be fun if you could restore an inn with your best friends? That's exactly what Jada and her bffs do when they restore the Wayfair in. It seemed like a great idea until Jada's bffs, Linnie and Cat, start to focus on their own endeavors, Jada starts to think about her own goals and her own dating life since she does not want to be alone.

One day a guest checks in and it's someone from Jada's past. This stirs up some serious emotions in Jada and makes her start to question what happened several years ago. Can Jada find the love she's always wished for?

First, I love the cover of this novel. It shouts spring and summer to me (i'm definitely a season reader - love reading bright covers in the warmer months!). This book is the third in a series but I do not think you have trouble reading it as the first Sweet Lake book. This book combines both mystery and relationships/romance in once and I really enjoy that! The mystery is not too heavy but rather adds a light depth to the story.

Jada's character is very lovable and you will definitely want to root for her the whole time! I really enjoyed her character development throughout the story. I loved the writing of this book and it really had my emotions in different places at different times in the book. I love reading stories like that!

This is a sweet, likeable and lovely story. Highly recommend for some great spring/summer reading!

This is the third book in the Sweet Lake series but having not read the first two books wasn’t a problem for me at all. It sounds like the first two books focused on different characters, Cat and Linnie who are Jada’s best friends and co owners of the Wayfair Inn, but this book was focused on Jada and Cat and Linnie are secondary characters. While you can definitely jump in as I did I will say that I’m wishing I had the time to read the first two books because this was such a sweet, fun read.

Jada was a wonderful character, a great friend and a valued member of her community and while I enjoyed her, her boyfriend Phillip’s daughter Fancy stole the show. She’s a six year old going on sixteen, precocious and sassy with a penchant for sparkles, glitz and glam and I too have a six year old with similar qualities so naturally she captured my heart. All of the characters were fabulous, besides Fancy I was also fond of a group of women coined the Sweet Lake Sirens, think meddling, bossy women with the purest intentions with the added bonus of no filters, you really never know what they’ll do or say next, so fun!

There was a mysterious aspect to the plot and I assumed it would be wrapped up in a predictable way but I was dead wrong. I love being wrong and when an author in a non mystery/thriller can still manage to surprise me then I’m thrilled! If you’re already a fan of this series then I’m sure you’ll be pleased with this one and if you’ve never read it before then I can definitely recommend it.

The Season of Silver Linings in three words: Delightful, Hopeful and Light.

THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS is the third book in the Sweet Lake series. I am a huge fan of Christine Nolfi’s books and have loved every single one of them. The trio of managers, Cat, Linnie, and Jada are hard at work getting ready for Linnie’s wedding, running the inn and living their lives. This is Jada’s story as she confronts the past and the events surrounding the death of her troubled young friend six years earlier.

Once I started reading THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS I was instantly invested in the story and had a hard time putting it down. Why does my family always want to eat when I’m reading such an awesome story? The Sirens, a group of women in Sweet Lake will keep you laughing out loud with their antics and their meddling. They try to push people together without the people realizing what they are doing until it is too late! They are hysterical! Jada Brooks is their newest victim! When a special guest arrives at the inn with many questions, the plot unfolds at first as the reader may have thought, but then there are twists and turns you never saw coming with an ending you can’t even imagine!

THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS is going to pull on your heartstrings and never let you go. I’m excited to continue with the Sweet Lake series and all the lovable characters that live there. Will Jada finally give her old friend Philip the time of day and her heart? Christine Nolfi sure knows how to write a story that keeps the reader emotionally invested in all the characters, not just the main ones, but all of them. It takes the whole town, coming together, to untangle the mess Bodi made years ago and you will find yourself cheering them all on. If you love small town romance with family drama thrown in, you have to give THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS a try. You will not be sorry and I bet you will want to become a Siren just like me.

This was such a fun read. This is the first book by Nolfi that I have read. It is part of a series. A Sweet Lake series. But I did not feel like I missed anything it can be read as a stand alone. I plan to read the first two books in the series soon.
You will laugh, cry and you will feel like you are part of these girls lives. You will be thinking about Jade, Cat and Linnie soon after you read the last page.
Nolfi is a gifted writer so glad I read this book. You are going to be touched by this book, That's all I'm saying about that.

The Season of Silver Linings, a Sweet Lake Novel by Christine Nolfi is one of her best works yet. That says a lot because the first two books in this series are dynamic. Nolfi works her magic as she brings in one of my favorite groups – the Sweet Lake Sirens. They have and always will hold a special place in my heart. I love their humor, their distinct personalities, their meddling and how they weave the wonderful energies of life into the world of those individuals they view as needing their particular style of help. As always there is a good balance between the characters, the background of the story, and the intricate actions and emotions that carry the story forward. Nolfi has such a beautiful gift of storytelling which pulls the reader into a world so full of life; we forget it is just that – a story. I felt I was living at the Wayfair Inn, or working there. Cat, Linnie, and Jada were my friends. Book 3 is about Jada and her growth as she works through some deep-seated feelings. The drama had me holding my breath, the humor had me laughing out loud (even while sitting in a doctor’s office), and the twist kept me reading through the night. Nolfi’s attention to the small details, in my opinion as an avid reader, is what places her at the top of her profession. This book, this series should be a Hallmark Channel Movie Special. It is that good.

I did receive this as an ARC, but the opinion I just wrote is entirely my own.

The Wayfair Inn in Sweet Lake, Ohio returns. Better times have arrived with the Inn enjoying it's hard won comeback. The trio of managers are hard at work getting ready for Linnie's wedding, running the inn and living their lives. Jada takes center stage as she confronts long buried feelings surrounding the death of her troubled young friend six years earlier. And as always, the Sweet Lake Sirens are ever present with their special brand of loving concern/meddling.
As with her previous two in this series, the author mixes drama and humor along with a dollop of magic. The importance of friends, family and loving kindness form the back bone of this author's writing style. It amazes me how fresh her style remains. Indeed, I have become so absorbed in the little towns and their inhabitants she creates that they seem real! Each of her books read just fine as stand alones but I recommend reading the series.
Thanks to the author and NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve been looking forward to the release of this book after reading the first two Sweet Lake books and LOVING them – this book was worth the wait! Each book focuses on one of the 3 best friends (Linnie, Cat, and Jada) who co-manage the Wayfair Inn. This book focuses on Jada – she is my personal favorite of the 3 women because she is a hardworking and devoted friend and daughter - in fact, I’m not sure Linnie and Cat realized how good of a friend she is as Jada was frequently picking up the slack while Linnie was distracted by her upcoming wedding and Cat, in her newly-wedded bliss, was distracted by her husband (frequently sneaking out to rendezvous with him). Although it is part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone - although I highly recommend reading the first two books so you can read the story of all 3 women as well as more about the history of the idyllic Wayfair Inn. As with the other books, there is a theme of love, friendship, and family – this book also includes some suspense and mystery. There were even some twists that took me completely by surprise! I did receive an ARC from the author via NetGalley, however, my opinions are my own.

This book was given to me on NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a book about closure and forgiveness and the value of family.
It's set in a small town, with nosy old ladies and a bit of mysticism.
Among the wedding fever, there's a lot of drama and a mysterious out of town visit.

When I started reading I was really lost the characters aren't introduced and all I could think is WTF are sirens here? This is the third volume so I wasn't sure if I could read it has a standalone. Although confuse I push myself to keep reading it.
I was pleasantly surprised when I became hooked. It's beautifully written and it's an easy read.
Usually, this kind of plot doesn't really appeal to me. But I enjoyed the eccentric characters and dynamic between the main couple.
It has funny moments and sad moments, but it can be read as a light summer reading.

I was drawn in by the first page of this heartwarming story of moving forward, friends, the Wayfair Inn, the sirens and a suspenseful twist that had me glued to the pages. I just adored this novel. The characters and the setting. Although I started with book three of this series I'm eager to go back to the beginning with book one. This was a wonderful story. A heartwarming delight.

The Season of Silver Linings is the third in a series of novels about the quiet town of Sweet Lake, Ohio. I suppose it's one that you can read as a stand-alone, but it goes much better as part of the series. Jada, who is one of a trio of best friends running the historic Wayfair Inn. There's much history to this Inn (you'll have to read the first two to catch up on that). But there's also a lot of history to Jada and a long-unrequited crush. A stranger comes to the Inn with Jada in her sights. But she brings to the surface memories and situations that many in town must confront in order to heal and move forward. Oh yeah, did I mention that all of this is happening as she's helping plan her best friend's wedding? For Jada, the 'mom' of the three of them, she finally is forced to take some time to focus on herself. It was really great watching her navigate the way through all of these issues and situations. She handles it with the grace you'd expect, as well as the mistakes we'd all make. Buckle up and enjoy.

Small town charm, a bit of a mystery, and colorful characters add up to a wonderful book, a perfect beach read! The Season of Silver Linings is the third book in the Sweet Lake series, which centers around the women who run the inn in this lakeside town. Reading this book is like coming home and becoming reacquainted with old friends! This book features Jada, the friend who seems to always be holding down the fort for her friends! It was great fun getting to read her story, as she opens up her heart. This book is delightful and poignant, the perfect book to pack in your suitcase or beach bag! Although you could read this book as a stand-alone, I recommend reading the first two books in the series, Sweet Lake and The Comfort of Secrets first...it will make this book so much richer.

When I signed up for the book tour I went in not realizing it was a third book in the installment, that didn’t effect my reading experience though! This book focused on three characters Jada, Cat and Linnie who are all co owners of the Wayfair Inn and how their lives intertwine with eachothers their not just business owners they are also friends who are there for eachother through the good times and the bad. Jada is in a relationship with Philip they started as friends and now their feelings have grown. Philip still has quite a bit of baggage with his ex wife Bodi they share a daughter named Fancy whose an adorable six year old. Jada is the odd friend her business partners/ friends are either married or about to get married, Jada has shouldered quite a bit of the business since her partners seemed more focused their personal lives. I don’t blame them they are caught up in love and a whole new beginning of their lives. As Jada begins to connect with Philips daughter and build a relationship she realizes she may have some things to workout with her own father. When a mysterious person checks into the wayfair and starts asking questions about some past events in the towns history, Jada starts to do her own investigation and maybe somethings some events should remain in the past. This book was full of so many layers and some surprising twists with an outcome you don’t see coming. This was such a heartwarming story that will connect with the readers and it has me wanting to read the two previous books I give this four stars.

The Season Of Silver Linings is a story of enduring friendships old and new, loss, love and the meaning of family. Jada, Cat and Linnie, run the Wayfair Inn. Jada is not only the pastry chef but is also having to pick up the slack for Cat who is still in the midst of newly wedded bliss and Linnie, who just happens to be preparing for her own wedding. Jada, always the responsible one has her hands full, but unexpected things are about to happen for the always prepared Jada. Jada will have to relive some very painful memories and in the process she just might find out that everything is not her responsibility and may actually find happiness for herself.

Christine Nolfi has written a beautiful series that has you caring for all the people involved in the story and making you want to be part it. Wonderfully written and delightful to read.

I fell in love with this story from the very start. I highly recommend this series to all who love a heartwarming story with some twists and turns you never expect but have you cheering for all!

MY REVIEW OF “THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS” BY CHRISTINE NOLFI, Lake Union Publishing, Publishing July 2018

“The Season of Silver Linings” by Christine Nolfi is an entertaining, enjoyable, charming and delightful novel. This is the third book in the Sweet Lake Series and although I suggest you read the other novels , this can be a stand-alone. I love the way that Christine Nolfi writes about diversity and uses vivid descriptions of the landscape and colorful cast of characters. The Genres for this story are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, Romance and Suspense. The story mostly takes place in the Wayfair Inn in Sweet Lake. The timeline of the story is in the present and goes to the past only when it pertains to the events or characters in the story.

Christine Nolfi describes her diverse and colorful cast of characters as mostly likable, quirky, and fun-loving. Some characters are more complex. I love the Sirens, a group of older women that have been in all three novels. In this novel, Jada is the only single one of the trio of co-owners of The Wayfair Inn. Cat is married, and Linny is a nervous bride to be.

Jada is an amazing pastry chef, and has the added responsibility of running the Inn, with all the festivities going on. Several of the Sirens have had the same dream about Jada, and it looks like Jada will have to deal with the past, to enjoy her present life. Janie has also taken on the responsibility of helping Philip Kettering and his adorable, yet precocious 6-year-old daughter Fancy.

One of the guests is showing an unusual interest in Jada, and seems to be looking for information. Can Jada move on from the past and find her own happiness?

I appreciate the way the author mentions the importance of family, friends, kindness, communication, love and hope. I recommend this novel to readers that enjoy Women’s Fiction. I received an ARC from NetGalley to read and review.

I truly love the women of Sweet Lake, even the quirky Sirens. The Season of Silver Linings is the third book in this fabulous series, with each book mainly focusing on one of the three main characters. Jada, Cat and Linnie are co-owners of the Wayfair Inn and as their lives are intertwined, they share their good times and are there for each other during the trying times. They are such good friends, friends who can say and do anything—nothing is off limits.

This story had a bit of a different feel to me. I still loved it as much as the first two books but this one seemed more mysterious with the addition of a woman who arrives at the Inn, asking questions about the past. Memories and emotions get stirred up as the past is revealed and the truth comes out.

I have loved my visits to Sweet Lake and I've loved watching the relationships between the characters grow. I feel like I know these people so well and I'm always sad when I turn the last page of the book because that means my visit with my friends is over. I hope I can return again soon.

THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS by Christine Nolfi is the third book in her Sweet Lake series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books, so I could not wait to get back to Sweet Lake and the Wayfair Inn for the next part of the story. Most of the characters are ones we grew to know and love from the first two books, but there are a few new characters in the third book. As with the previous books, the story centers on themes of love, family, friendship and loyalty. This time, the story focuses on Jada, the long-time pastry chef and one of the managers at the Wayfair. The plot was expertly crafted with just the right mix of drama, romance and suspense. I never saw the dramatic twist at the end coming. THE SEASON OF SILVER LININGS was delight to read. For me, this is the best book yet and I highly recommend it. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the early copy.

This is my favorite of the Sweet Lake books. I loved the first two, but this one is special. Many answered questions. A romance and a bit of suspense. Throw in the Sirens and you have the intrigue and magic.

This book will have you hooked from the start and you won’t want to put it down. It can be read as a stand along but should be read after the first two Sweet Lake books to understand each character. You will love the characters. All of them. They are so likable and realistic. A few things are explained in this book that will have you turning the pages to find out what and how. Who is who and why are they there. It’s a great read.

I wish there would be another book now. Jada and Philip.

Thank you to #Netgalley, #Lake Union and to Christine Nolfi. It’s a definite 5 star book. I loved it.

The heartwarming and compulsively readable “The Season of Silver Linings (A Sweet Lake Novel Book 3)” adds another compelling look at the lives of Ohio pastry chef Jada Brooks and her two best friends, restorers of the Wayfair Inn.

But the past threatens Jada’s promising present, just as she envisions a happy new future with widower Philip Kettering and his young daughter.

A guest at the Wayfair starts asking probing questions about events that rocked the town seven years earlier, forcing Jada to consider all she might lose if she reveals the truth. A beautifully conceived and written novel about family, friendship and the healing power of love. 5/5

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a review copy. Opinions are mine.

It's time for another trip to Sweet Lake and the Wayfair Inn - where love can be found with a little help from the Sirens.

This installment focuses primarily on Jada and her relationship with Philip - it may start off as just friends but it isn't going to stay that way for long and it will not be an easy road as they both have baggage tied to his first wife, Bodi, but for different reasons. I felt for Jada in many respects. Her partners in the Inn have gotten married (or are getting married in Linnie's case) and aren't focusing on their jobs but rather letting Jada shoulder the load. I don't want to say that Linnie and Cat are selfish, but in a way they are. But who could blame them as they are caught up in love and a new beginning in their lives.

This book has a few surprises too, so don't think it is will be a light read. I was quite surprised at a few turns of events and amazed at how in tune the Sirens are in town are and how they seem to know the right thing to say, do, or give for each situation. But the Sirens do take care of their own and I really enjoyed that kinship between the women.

Possibly a character that almost stole the show is Fancy. She is Philip's daughter and she is quite precocious. She may be about 6, but she knows what she wants and I'm actually surprised at how much she is spoiled and given whatever she wants even if it isn't the best for her.

While this book is best read after the first two in the series, you could read this on its own and there are enough details to fill in most of the gaps. I say this too because it has been awhile since I read the first two books so I appreciated the extra background information to remind me of each character and their situation.

I just wish the book had given us the recipe for the rosemary cookies mentioned. They sounded delicious.

Christine Nolfi is a master storyteller. Great story-line. This third book in the Sweet Lake series is well-written, enjoyable, hard to put down, a romance, mysteries, and of course the Sirens. One has to love the Sirens. I want to be one. I suggest one begins reading this in the morning as you cannot put it down. The reader has suspicions on what is going to happen, but there is also surprises along the way. This might be the best in the series, but hopefully there will be more down the line. I suggest one read all of Ms Nolfi's books. They are excellent reads.

I loved this book even more than the first two in the series. The Wayfair and the town of Sweet Lake provide the perfect backdrop for Jada and Phillips story. The reader can't help but fall in love with the precocious Fancy, Phillips daughter. The history surrounding Fancy's mother leaves the reader guessing as to what will happen next as this story unfolds. A beautifully written tale of love, friendship, family, and forgiving the burdens we place upon ourselves.

Wonderful Book! I Really enjoyed The Season of Silver Linings third book. While I have not read the first two books. About an Inn and family and friendships that are intertwined. Then the stranger comes to town... Some mystery is added. All the feelings and memories that are surfacing for Jeda. Secrets and love.

This is the first book I have read by Christine Nolfi, but now I am on a search for her other books! This is a wonderful, sweet read with well developed characters. The Sirens are a colorful group that can get their noses in many situations. The small town setting, friendship, love and family all add to this page turner. This is a lighthearted story with a fun accent, a little suspense and a happily ever after. I loved this book!

This book is the first I've read in this series, but I had no problem jumping in because the author does a good job of quickly covering what you need to know when it's necessary.

I enjoyed the deep friendship between the 3 main characters and loved The Sirens because they meant well even if sometimes their efforts were annoying or over the top. You have to love a group of women that take others under their wings trying to help them.

The relationships between everyone is what pulled me in and kept me reading. Christine Nolfi obviously loves writing about friendship, love and caring because she does so extremely well. I've read other books by this author and will go back and read books 1 and 2 in this series.

Thank you Netgalley for providing an early copy at my request.

Welcome to Sweet Lake, a charming little town in Ohio with some lively inhabitants. I’d love to tell you I had a favorite character in this book, but in truth I loved them all. From 6yr old Fancy to the aging, tenacious Millicent. Reading Christine Nolfi’s The Season of Silver Linings is like curling up with a cozy blanket and a favorite cup of tea. Her writing is calm and soothing, her characters familiar and warm. A curious mystery, a long overdue romance, friendship that becomes family and a whole lotta love, Christine Nolfi knows the recipe for the perfect story. This is the third book in The Sweet Lake Series but is easily read as a stand alone. Just prepare to read all 3, I can guarantee you will crave more from the ladies in Sweet Lake, Ohio!
