Coded For Love #2

Draco: a forbidden romance

Rate this book
Three guys who want to leave their hacker days behind.
Three women who may or may not stand in their way.

Lara Compton is in her first year of a business degree, but what she really wants to do is impress her dad and beat her older brothers into his favor. When she overhears her father talking about a mole within their finance company she decides to play detective. What better way to investigate than to secretly hire one of the hackers who broke into their computer systems the year before?

Draco Vaughn spots the attractive woman stalking him and confronts her. She’s hot, she’s flirting, and he’s interested. However, Lara surprises Draco by offering him a job with a big financial company—and it’s only the same company who sent his stepbrother Sean to jail. Tempted by the prospect of getting inside to make the company owner suffer, he agrees to take on the job. What he didn’t account for was the unstoppable attraction between him and Lara, and the layers of subterfuge he finds in the corridors of power.

Working closely, Lara and Draco’s undercover detective hunt runs in parallel with an intoxicating affair, a powerful relationship that won’t be denied—no matter what Draco discovers, and who it will hurt.

Saskia is British by birth, but because of her parent's nomadic tendencies she grew up traveling the globe--an only child with a serious book habit. She dreamed of being a writer since the age of 12 and finally began writing seriously in the late 1990s.

Saskia's short stories have now been published in over one hundred international anthologies and magazines including Cosmo, and Bust. In the noughties Saskia started working on longer projects and since then her novels have been published by Penguin and Harlequin as well as other publishing houses. To her absolute delight two of her novels won Passionate Plume awards and her work has twice been nominated for an Romantic Times Magazine Reviewers' Choice Award. Her Witches of Scotland series was widely translated and became a Scandinavian bestseller. In 2015 she became a USA TODAY bestselling author. It's been an amazing journey! Saskia is now a full time author and she has many more stories to tell.

Saskia lives in the north of England, on the beautiful, windswept landscape of the Yorkshire moors, with her real life hero, Mark. Mark supports her work through all its ups and downs, and manages to keep her sane and grounded when fiction threatens to take over.

Lara hires Draco, an ex hacker, to infiltrate her family business and check for issues. He agrees as this is the company that sent his brother to prison for hacking and he sees possible revenge. The two hit it off and heat develops quickly. The office armor she got for him to fit in at the company sounded very nice indeed. The suspense of who will figure this mess out first, Lara or her brothers, as well as other twists to the story, keep the pages turning. The ending is so perfect for everyone involved and even uses Rory from the previous book. Definitely recommend this book for anyone needing some smiles.

This was a great story. Lara hires former hacker Draco to help her root out the chink in her fathers financial company's armor. Draco turns out to be more compelling than risk taker Lara expected and Lara turns out to be so much more than prim and proper princess Draco takes her for. I LOVE how Draco made her mind go blank whenever he touched her or was near. These two had great chemistry. I finished this in one day.

When she needs a hacker he agrees, but with his own ulterior motive

Draco is the second book in the Coded for Love series. It is a nicely written story that has intrigue, drama, suspense, romance, action and a nice amount of chemistry. The story-line is solid and kept me fully engaged and wondering what was going to happen next. The characters were likeable and fun, even when they were serious.

Wow, these guys keep getting better and better. Draco is a former hacker and wants to leave it that way. He is being followed and wants to know why. Lara needs his help and is willing to do anything to get it. They both have something to lose if caught. Can they trust each other not to put a knife in the others back?

2 for 2 so far!
Draco and Lara have a obvious mutual attraction from the beginning! They were bringing out the best in each other I think.
Love that this book touched base with Rory and Sky, it could have been read as a standalone if haven't previously read Rory, because the author sorta recaps what the reader needed to know. Looking forward to reading Sean's book!

I would've given 5 stars but...

There was so many typos and grammatical errors. It hurt my head at times. Other than that it was a damn good book. The 2 main characters were so perfect for each other. The author made it so relatable like these were people you might know or could be friends with. Oh man and the sexually chemistry was hot as hell! Those sexy scenes will have you begging for more!

3.5 stars for me.
I just couldn’t get into the story, and I couldn’t wait after reading Rory’s story. I’m getting mixed connected to this story and from the characters. I hope Sean’s story has more for me.
