Ben I like a challenge. Tell me something’s impossible and I’ll make it happen. From our very first meeting it’s obvious the Bachelor Tower’s newest female addition doesn’t think I’m her type. When I’m asked to distract her from the politics of the building, she tells me I have no chance with her.
Proving her wrong will be fun and might just take us to the brink of love.
I ask her to trust me, but I’m not prepared for what she shares when she does.
Kylie My life was following a set plan before he comes into it and turns everything upside down. Sure, he’s sexy as hell with a smile that can melt any heart—but I can’t afford to make another mistake. In my experience, the only people who can hurt me are the ones I let in.
Ruth Cardello hit the NYTs and USA Today for the first time back in 2012. Millions of sales are evidence that her books are akin to potato chips, addictive from the first one. She has created a multi-series billionaire world with a combination of escapism and realism that has gained her a faithful following of readers.
What Kindle Reviewers write about her:
"Wow hot at every page. Heart stoping, fear raging, mind blowing wonderful."
"I'm a true fan of Ms. Cardello. I ran on to her first book a few years back and have been hooked ever since. I could go on and on about the story like of this book, but I'm not. All of her books are total page turners, unique, heart wrenching, and I love them all. There isn't two alike in the bunch and I feel like i know the characters personally. I personally read 97 authors books. And I buy every book they put out. This author is in my top 10. Great job and keep them coming."
"Love this series. Got me to start reading again. I look forward to the next book. Thank you for giving me the love of reading back."
Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.
She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

This is my first book by this author. I did not read the first book in the Bachelor Tower Series, so I think I missed out on some valid plot lines.
This was a little sweet for my typical reads, that being said, I did have several laugh out loud moments, and did enjoy this book.
Low angst, low drama, good bit of steamy thrown in. A light, easy read.
I liked Ben, Kylie got on my nerves at times. I do think I will read the first book in the series to see what it was exactly that I missed. How Dalton and Penny got together, etc.
When Ben is asked to do a favor for a friend, he's not sure whether he'll be able to up to the task. However, getting Kylie to spend time with him isn't easy. Not when she's been burned by a past relationship, believes the men that live in the building where she's currently living are all evil and will do anything to show them they're not invincible. Yet, Ben isn't one to give up and he's determined to show Kylie how to relax and have fun. Will Ben be able to win Kylie over or will they lose their shot at happy ever after?
I love the concept of this series where only men once lived in an apartment building and now women are starting to live there and the men are unhappy and this second book of Ms. Cardello's Bachelor Tower series was just as marvellous as book one. Right from the beginning, I was drawn into this story because of the favor someone asks of Ben and whether he would agree. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time where things really get interesting, as Kylie has been burned by a man before and she's not very trusting when it comes to men. Will she give Ben a chance?
With the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, but I loved the playful banter between Ben and Kylie, as he does everything he can to win her over while Kylie provides him quite the challenge. Moreover, the heroine was resilient, courageous and I liked how far she's come since she was burned by someone she thought cared for her. She's also a total powerhouse when it comes to business and will do anything to come out on top, which is proven by far how she's willing to go to show the men living in Bachelor Tower that they don't want to mess with her and her sister. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine is that she liked the way Ben made her feel because she didn't want to turn out like her 'workaholic and I-care-only-about-business' mother. Someone so focused on her business that she doesn't have time for those she loves.
While the hero, he's done well for himself and I liked that he showed Kylie how different he was to the man that broke her heart. I also liked the hero's confidence and his determination to get Kylie to have fun, which is proven by the things they do. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is the tight friendships he shared with some of the secondary characters and the way they tease him when it comes to his nickname; and also how protective he was of the heroine because what she's doing could turn dangerous if anyone found out about her obsession with winning and what she's doing to show the men in the building that they're not invincible like they think they are.
Overall, Ms. Cardello has delivered an absolutely fantastic and riveting read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was strong and grew stronger the more time they spent together; the romance was wonderful and had me glad that Kylie took a chance on Ben; and the ending had me loving the decisions these two made to get their happy ever after. No way could Kylie continue as she was, especially if she didn't want to turn out like her mother while Ben was determined to prove to Kylie that she's the one for him. I would recommend Impossible Bachelor by Ruth Cardello, if you enjoy the opposites attract trope or books by authors JS Scott, Melody Anne, Marie Force and Melissa Foster.
I wanted to enjoy this one, but the premise was...off.
The all male apartment complex, the way they treated women who moved in, the behavior of the women in the complex...all of it was just a little too odd for me to be able to connect with the story and the characters.
In order for a set-up romance to work, you need to believe that there is an attraction from at least one of the characters. I didn't believe this for this title.
Impossible Bachelor (Bachelor Tower Series, Book 2) by Ruth Cardello
Kylie is a sheep in wolf's clothing. Her heart is more fragile than she let's on. Ben is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He knows how to fool the best. Impossible Bachelor thrives on illusions. The characters are not the image they present to the world, but a work in progress striving to find a happy ending as elusive as the stars in the sky. Broken by life, hurt by love, Kylie is afraid to trust her heart. Ben is the piece of the puzzle that could mend her soul and he'll break every wall she erects to build himself a home in her sheltered heart. Cardello makes complicated look like a piece of cake. A little rough around the edges, but a deliciously flavorful treat. (4.5 stars)
I was looking forward to Ben's book, because I really liked his character in Insatiable Bachelor. He is this uber genius, very wealthy guy, who seems like a normal, average person. He has humility, and he doesn't boast and brag about his achievements. Ben is a very nice guy. Kylie is the exact opposite. She is possibly the most driven, cold and unlikable female character ever. She is the type of character that takes awhile to get to know and warm up to. Once she and Ben started dating, she softened and opened herself up. She became vulnerable, and that was endearing and sweet. I really liked these two together. They understood each other's drive and passion for their work, and Ben helped Kylie see the benefits of down time, relaxation and fun. I enjoyed the way their story unfolded and the growth Kylie experienced. It was a great read. I always love Ruth's writing.
I loved this continuation of the series!! Ben and Kylie believe they are happy until they cross paths. This is a great example of letting things pass you by on your way to the top and almost missing out on the best things in life!!!
This was such amazing book, it was so much fun and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. Loved Ben and how relaxed he was, he’s the opposite of Kylie. The chemistry between them was HOT and he seems to understand her. Loved their happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.
Impossible bachelor is the second novel in the bachelor tower series. If you have read the first book you will be familiar with the main characters already. If you are not that's ok. The book is stand alone.
I liked the story. I didn't like some small parts but for most of the time, I was satisfied. I wanted the revelation of Ben's work and wealth to happen later in the book because I felt like it was a factor to Kylie's acceptance of the fact that the two of them were dating. That was the only sour thing that I can remember of. I loved that Kylie understood that she had some issues and decided on her own to fix the situation. She won tons of points for that. Ben wasn't without fault but I felt like he acted like a human.
The epilogue felt like an ending to the series and I hope that's not the case. Maybe the new man we were introduced to will get a story and the series will continue.
Meet Ben. The thing about Ben is that he likes taking on a challenge. A challenge that is probably impossible to the possible I’ll try and make that happen. Only problem is I only tolerate the only female tenant at Bachelor Tower apartments. Dalton a guy who lives in the Bachelor Tower has asked me to keep her out if the building political problems. She seems to think that since our first meeting, she’s out to try and prove to herself and to me that there is no chance of anything happening between us. Now I’ve got to now prove her that she’s wrong about the attraction between us and I know that it will be fun to and just prove that it could take us to the panicle of love.
I’ve now asked her to put her trust in me. The jaw-dropping things she tells me knock the wind out of me and I’m not prepared for what she suddenly shares willingly and trusting when she does.
Meet Kylie
Hi everyone I’m Kylie; I want to let you know that I had always planned my life out down to the very minute details. Well I thought that I had planned it out well until one day I meet Ben the one person who has turned it all upside down. I have to say that Ben is drop dead sexy, he’s a babe magnet, seriously panty melting and a smile that can make a woman weak at the knees and melt a very well planned out life. He also can melt hearts.
I’ve decided that I’ve been burned and crushed before and swore never to make the mistake again. It’s hard to keep that promise to myself after meeting Ben. I want to let him in and learn to possibly love and even trust men again. I don’t know if I’m that strong enough just yet. I know that when I get too close to people they hurt me. I wonder if Ben is the one who can help me get past all the pain and trust issues that I’ve now started to try and rebuild my life.
Ben thinks he can understand and save me.
Ben tells me he’s different to all the other men I’ve known.
Ben always say that until I show him who I really am.
I like the humor of a series about egotistical guys who believe they only need women for their basic needs and love is not a basic need! HAHAHAHA! Men like that fall hard when the true woman for them comes along. And women who have been hurt and trusted before try their darnedest to avoid any man with any agenda on their minds. But Mother Nature and the Good Lord above often have a surprise for the gun shy guys and gals on earth. Ben loves challenges and only sees Kylie as a challenge and a favor for a friend. Kylie sees him as another who says one thing and does another, especially since he lives in the once "Bachelor's Only Tower" ! Females Don't Belong their as RESIDENTS! Only as visitors! Brief Visitors! So the challenge is Kylie and the one to avoid for her is Ben. Kylie can handle the Board Room but hides her heart and her reasons for not trusting. There are some twists and turns, along with deep thoughts in this story. Much like life. Will they work thru the problems or be just another "stat" like on a Board Room Report? Sorry, It's a love story that makes you want to read to see the results, and I don't give spoilers. Ruth did an excellent job of making you love and hate the characters at times. Just like life, everyone isn't perfect. We all have secrets and flaws. How well they are hidden and what happens when they come out into the open is part of everyone's story! So Read and Find Out!
Impossible Bachelor by Ruth Cardello “Is love real? 4 stars”
Kylie knows love isn’t real. It’s a illusion one makes you believe in until they can run and take a piece of you with them. Her mother has shaped her into who she is and she’s starting to question if she she’s really where she should be. She’s a shark in her board room and its bleeding into her personal life and she doesn’t know how to stop. Will she stay on a destructive path or will she stop and find out that love can be real and men can stay? Ben is laid back but successful. He was instantly intrigued by Kylie but she blew him off. But that’s the thing about Ben is he’s up for a challenge. Soon he gets Kylie on his side and all is going well. Until Ben sees something that worries him. Will he convince her its time to lay down the boxing gloves or will he walk away? Ben was definitely the yin to Kylie’s yang. They were opposites that worked. There were secondary characters I loved and one that I hated. Those characters really brought the story full circle. Impossible Bachelor was definitely a story about slowing down and enjoying life and not just working and going through the motions. Plot-4/5 Characters-4/5 Heat-4/5 Writing style-4/5 Overall-4/5
Impossible Bachelor is the second installment Bachelor Towers series of by Ruth Cardell. I haven’t read the first book in this series, but I was told you can read this as a standalone.
Kylie is a quick gal and easily intimidates in the boardroom, but lately it’s also been bleeding into her personal life. At an early age, through observing her mother’s love history, she hasn’t really given love a second glance. But when she meets Ben, a man who’s the complete opposite of Kylie, may just give her a run for her money.
But the big question is, will Kylie give Ben that second glance?
Impossible Bachelor was a wonderful story to unwind too. I loved that Kylie was a intelligence who has quite a mouth on her. But, what I really loved the feel of opposites attract. And, Ben is certainly the opposite of Kylie. He’s very much laid back, funny and equally intelligent. The chemistry between these two characters were outstanding. I loved the camaraderie these two develop over time, as well as the never ending romance that leaps off the pages. I have to say, it was a lovely read.
Tempting Sexy Thoughts **ARC for an Honest Review*
Impossible Bachelor is the second book in the Bachelor Tower Series. Though it says it can be read as a standalone, I felt like I was missing parts because I had not read the first book. This book is Kylie and Ben's story. I loved Ben, he is a wealthy because he is a computer genius. Kylie is a successful lawyer who doesn't let men get close. She has always been this way to protect herself from getting hurt. Ben really wants Kylie to let loose and just enjoy the smaller moments. The biggest question is can Kylie let go of her insecurities and let Ben in?
I gave this 4 stars only because of Ben. I felt like Kylie had to many walls around her heart to let Ben in. It was like Kylie didn't think any man was worthy of her time. When she finally realized what Ben done and that he had money she changed her tune. She was also hiding a secret, one that I really did not get or why she was even doing it. Maybe if I had read the first book then I might understand. Don't get me wrong I love a strong herione, but it was like Kylie just did not really care for men.
If you have read the first book, then I am sure you will probably enjoy this one.- By Linda
Genre: Romance - Contemporary, opposites Standalone: Mostly Ben and Kylie's story is their own but the politics of the the Bachelor Tower starts in Insatiable Bachelor. However, Ruth Cardello keeps you informed/caught up Part of a Series: Yes Book 2 of the Bachelor Tower series. Each book is a different couple but the underlying issues in the Bachelor Tower are present in each story POV: Ben and Kylie Steam Level: Warm 4/5
Ben and Kylie seem as opposite as they can get but are quite similar in the ways that work. This book was fun, engrossing, and had a great message about opening yourself up and allowing yourself to love and be loved. Since Kylie is Penny's sister we get to see more of the Penny and Dalton and we meet their notorious mom. The biggest takeaway from this book is this quote, "You don't have to change.. The right person never requires that." More people could benefit in learning this lesson. This is a great book and Ruth Cardello proves her writing skills in this series. Excellent, quick read that leaves you thinking.
I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Great book 2 in the new series from Ruth Cardello. Ben and Kylies story of falling in love despite Kylies intentions is a fabulous read. Kylie moves into Bachelor Tower after her sister Penny looked after the place to secure the tenancy, in the exclusive all boys block. A place for men, set up by a man, with business connections and influence abound by living in the building. Penny fell in love with Dalton, Kylies neighbour, Penny believes Julie's business focus born from trying to please their mother, is unhealthy and wrong. Dalton convinces Ben, a computer nerd, who got his apartment in the building as part of a sweetener in a deal, to take Kylie out, have some fun, reminding Kylie there's more to life than business. How will they do, will Kylies anger win, will seeing Kylie at her worst send Ben running...... gotta read this, BUT be prepared to pick up the book and not want to put it down until it's finished, no cleaning, no feeding family, focus on the warm, entertaining journey Ben and Kylie take to realise what they could have or have found - amazing. Loved it.

I totally loved Book One in this series with the idea of the Bachelor Tower and the men fighting to keep the women out. Book Two is Ben and Kylie’s story. Kylie is Penny’s (from book one) sister. Kylie is an angry woman with a lot of baggage, which has made her that way. Ben is a laid back kind of guy doing his own thing. Penny is worried about her sister and wants Ben to keep her distracted and help her relax. When things backfire and things get serious, Kylie is afraid Ben won’t like the real her.
I absolutely loved Ben, his personality, his humor and confidence. I even loved his sisters. However, I didn’t like Kylie at all in the beginning. She was too mean. There really wasn’t much to like about her but as she started to become more real it was easier to get to know her. This is a fun story as always because this author tells such great stories with lots of humor and a lot of heat, with a few tears thrown in for good measure. Impossible Bachelor was a good second book in this series.
Impossible Bachelor by Ruth Cardello is the second book in the Bachelor Tower Series. I did not read book one and I was able to follow along. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and it won’t be the last! I was completely wrapped up in this story from the first page to the very end.
Ben and Kylie are exact opposites. She is a successful lawyer who keeps men at a distance. Kylie does not believe in love. At all. She avoids it at all costs to protect herself. That is until Ben walks in. She shuts him down at first but soon he tears down her walls. Will he like the woman beneath?
Ben is a successful computer nerd and loves challenges. So when Kylie ignores his advances, he thinks he will be the man to prove to her love is not impossible.
Ms. Cardello wrote an amazing story filled with exceptional characters. Cardello created the perfect tension between the two characters. I loved the slow build of it and also the storyline. I am so excited to read more from this author!
An impressively written romance right here! Not everything is as it appears with Impossible Bachelor. I loved, LOVVVVVVVVED this book! The characters really pull you in with all their sneakiness and who they really are compared to what they want the world to see. There was some great push/pull going on that made the sex and romance sizzle and made the plot so appealing!
I really liked Insatiable Bachelor but I think I liked Impossible Bachelor just a wee bit more! I loved how the storyline was so full of life and mixed signals and made you wonder about the motives and characters. As you go through the story and our characters fall in love, things finally become clearer and made for a good read. Looking forward to the next one!
Impossible Bachelor gets a BEAUTIFUL FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
I was so excited to read Ben and Kylie's story! I loved them both in their own ways in Insatiable Bachelor and knew I would love them in the second book in this series. Kylie and Ben couldn't be more opposite in the way they conduct their lives. Kylie is a huge workaholic who doesn't understand what it means to take a break and Ben is so chill and calm, he knows when to work and when to play.
I really enjoyed watching these two run into each other in the last book, and really get to know each other in this book. Ben helps Kylie grow and transform into a truly likable individual (she is a little hard to swallow at first), and it was so great watching her get there. I hope this series will keep going, the characters are becoming more interesting, especially with the dynamic of the apartment building and it's rules.
What an exciting sparring match these two make. They say there is a fine line between love and hate and that shows with Kylie and Ben. She is a workaholic and never let's her guard down. Ben is a determined man that loves a challenge. He's so cute and funny, tries to get Kylie to lighten up and enjoy life. They are completely different but then again aren't opposites supposed to attract. That's how love works, you accept each others crazy. If we can just get Kylie and Penny's mom to keep her nose out of things the girls could actually be happy. The bachelor tower is turning out to be matchmaker tower and I can't wait to see who's next.
"We are all wonderfully imperfect in our own ways"
Impossible Bachelor is the second book in Ruth Cardello's Bachelor Tower Series. I love this series! I am so excited to read the second book in the series.
This is Ben and Kylie's story. I am so happy I read this book. At first I was not sure how much I would like Kylie after her first appearance in the first book! I love how Ruth wrote her story and how it played out. I love story between Kylie and Ben. Ben was one of my favorites from the first book. I was so happy Ben was the second book in this series. It was great get to know more about him.
This was great story about two different people finding their way to love together.
I love this story! This is a must read! This was great second book in an awesome series!
This probably should have been named Impossible Bachelorette, since Kylie is the one with commitment issues, not Ben.
I wasn’t too sure about Kylie’s character. For her to be so headstrong and go get em. I was surprised she was so sensitive about her “vision” board. If anything, I expected her to proudly show it off, regardless of how people viewed it or her.
Ben’s character was exactly as I expected, and I loved it. He’s a great guy who knows what he wants and couldn’t care less what people think about him. In a way he and Kylie are alike except he’s not a ball buster.
I was hoping the whole issue of Bachelor Tower would be resolved in this book, but with both couples moving out, I guess it will be resolved in a future book.
Every woman I know would secretly love to have a little bit of Kylie in them. She seems to have it all, a strong and capable personality who has the money and know how to get what she wants from life, who doesn’t want to have some or all of those characteristics, and she is on a mission to take down Bachelor Tower. Little does she know Ben is about to rock her world and shake things up more than a little bit.
I love Ben and Kylie together and as always Ms. Cardello brings humor, a little bit of snark, and enough heat to keep you warm on the coolest of evenings. Losing yourself in the world of the Impossible Bachelor is a great way to spend some much needed time to yourself.
any are reviewing this as an opposites attract story but I have to disagree. Yes Kylie is a very driven character but I think Ben is too. He certainly isn't the female version of Kylie, but if he were truly her opposite he'd be like her sister Penny. He isn't out to take over the world but he is always looking for the next best thing to create and sell. Instead I see this is a story of a man who knows what he wants being patient waiting for a woman who needs to overcome her personal struggles. Overall the book was a quick and enjoyable read and the type of book I've come to expect from Ruth Cardello.
"Impossible Bachelor" is the second book in the Bachelor Tower series and it was a fantastic read. This is the story of Ben and Kylie, he is a kind, sexy genius nerd and she is a strict business woman. Kylie has let problems her parents had determine her life as an adult, she is a hard woman, who has no friends and doesn't know how to relax. It is almost as if she cannot turn her brain off, has to stay busy, and is letting that take over her life. Ben is determined to show Kylie that there is more to life than what she is living. Will she let him in enough that he can do that, you will only know if you read it.
Excellent! This story has a lot of angst, which I LOVED!! It is also thought provoking, fun and very, very sexy!! Ben is a billionaire, sweet, sexy and knows how to proportion his time between work and play. Kylie is a workaholic, craves vengeance against her enemies and has no desire for fun and love. Talk about opposites attracting boy, do these two have that!! I LOVED how Ben handled Kylie's negative attitudes and is able to show her there is more to life then world dominance. LOL! This couple are perfect for each other and they touched my heart!!
Book two of the Bachelor Tower had some big shoes to fill after Insatiable Bachelor and it came through with this girl giving it five stars! This is Kylie and Ben’s story. When Kylie meets Ben she wants to the run the other way, she does not need a man in her life, especially when she is trying to protect those she loves. Ben has other sights and right now they are on Kylie. As Ben begins to break down the wall Kylie has put up around her, she begins to see that maybe love isn’t all that bad. Great book by a wonderful author.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...I enjoyed this story but I normally do enjoy this author's books. Unfortunately I didn't read the first one so I must remedy that. In this book we have an opposites attract story. We have Kylie who is not as strong as it seems, yes she is definitely strong at work, but in her personal life she keeps it close to the vest because she really doesn't believe in love. And then we have Ben who is funny, smart and easy going-opposites right? But isn't that what make it fun? Grab a copy my friends and Enjoy!
It is Impossible to not love this one by Ruth Cardello. Ben, I wasn't to sure about him at first. But of course he won me over. I guess you can say he really does make the impossible, possible ;-) Seriously though I loved Ben. I think his Character was just perfect for Kylie. They are a prefect match. Kylie, who doesn't love a strong woman? I love her to death. She is now my favorite Female Character from all of Ruth's books.
Impossible Bachelor is a no sleep, anticipation, and lets not forget the humor type of book. You will just love this one. I know I did.
Another win from Ruth Cardello. Ben brilliantly normal master of code. Kylie uptight business Mogle with a life plan mapped out in front of her. Kylie claims she doesn't need a man or love. Ben is infatuated with Kylie when his friend asks him to take her out to deter her from the building police. A great love story where the heroine isn't as immune to love as she would like to think. Ruth writes romance well. Her characters are real or what some of us readers would like real to be. Another hit from Ruth Rites Romance.
