This book introduces you to the basics of mindfulness, from its origins in Buddhism through to the daily exercises that we can all easily incorporate into our lives. The text and information in the book was laid out very interestingly, with images, diagrams and information and tips boxes - which allowed the eyes to float over the pages - so it was a joy to read! This book has taught me the benefits of mindfulness, which has influenced me enough to start practicing. I highly recommend this book!

It’s quite basic, and the practical applications of mindfulness don’t begin until about page 36. However for a beginner, or someone just looking to see if mindfulness is for them, it’s a great start. Lots of clear, logical explanation as to why mindfulness might help you.

It’s very basic, but a great introduction to mindfulness. Having said that, I’ve been using mindfulness for years, but still learned a couple of things. Highly recommend for beginners, but if you’ve been practicing for a while, I’d skip it. I would have rated it higher if I was a mindfulness newbie!
