Elite is the second installment in the Privileged series by Carrie Aaron, but it can be read as a standalone with no issue. This story takes place a few years after Privileged with the character of Eloise as the heroine. Fans of the first book will get to briefly see Asher and Nora and get an update on their life together, but it won't affect your enjoyment if you are meeting them for the first time. I read both books in the series, and I have to say that Elite is by far my favorite!
Eloise Mason, a wealthy British socialite, relocates to the U.S. to attend a semester at a university in Vermont where she meets the college's star basketball player, Colton Reiter. They have instant chemistry which can't be denied for long. After a quickie in the car turns into a night in Colton's bed, they are practically inseparable.
Colton and Eloise aren't the relationship type, but they decide to give one a shot. With Eloise leaving at the end of the semester, is there any real hope for something long term to work out between them? They might not have to worry about that, because secrets both of them are hiding might destroy them before they even have a chance.
Elite is a NA romance with enough sweetness, steam, and secrets to keep you entertained until the very end! Eloise and Colton are extremely likable characters. Not only are they both genuinely good people, but I adored the way they were with each another. Their playful banter, flirtation, and hunger for one another had me smiling and swooning the whole way through the book. If you're already a fan of this author's work, or you're looking for a sweet and sexy NA romance, I recommend this one to you!

This story started like any other cliched NA/college/sassy-girl-meets-hotshot-basketball-player trope and I started to roll my eyes, BUT then, as I moved on, relaying on my OCD skills of "must finish what I start" complex, I realized I really dig the story further on...
Eloise Mason (friend of Nora & Asher in book #1 Privileged), now a transfer college student from Paris, Sorbonne, where she studied for a chef, comes to Jade Mountain University in Thistle, Vermont, attending a course in vinery, and one of the reasons to do so, is for her to let loose, to be somewhere to gain experience and to be free...free of the "privileged name"
so, in her pursuit of a chance to be unhinged, she's driven by the curiosity and challenge, as she answers to an anonimous and alluring invitation to pledge for the well known sorority...
BUT it would seem that Eloise not only struck the honey pot, but she also stepped on the toes of the main queen Bee, and her minions, as soon as Eloise gets close to finding out that there was a covered up crime taken place by this girls and their rich parents connections...
Simultaneously, Eloise also meets the hotshot basketball player Colton Reiter , a guy that exudes with sexual power and cocky attitude like every "player" out there ans is very much aware of it and using it to his own gain. Tipical. But Eloise knows better, cause she's on her gaome as well. She owns the same game.
And of course, by doing that, she only spurs more interest in Colton, as he's adamant now to win her over..and to get to know her...
BUT Colton has a deep, dark secret that could ruin his life and his future career in NBA basketball as a pro, as well as the lives of the people he cared about...but Eloise is different and the pressure of keeping the shit within comes to hurl out, so when he comes clean, the further rolling events simply come tumbling down taking away all the prospects he ever held, destroying it all in the process...
and yet the only person he could have ever hoped to have by his side, stood tall right beside him..
What they learned in the process, was worth the personal growth and experiences life brought for them, when it all looked as hopeless and impossible, with dreams shattered, odds against them, with separate roads ahead of them...
the y found the strength to carry on, in each other, even though they were on the opposite sides of themselves...yet they grew stronger and powerful in love for one another...
And they made it work...

And yeah, well, I don't think I have to go into the detailed rant of showing you that I LIKED the book, right?! LOL

I'm no one if not a junkie for clues and secrecy...so admittedly, whatever this is, is right up my alley

And with each passing hour I spend with her, I realize that the sassy British girl I thought I had nothing in common with, is more like me than I could have imagined.

What they learned in the process, was worth the personal growth and experiences life brought for them, when it all looked as hopeless and impossible, with dreams shattered, odds against them, with separate roads ahead of them...
the y found the strength to carry on, in each other, even though they were on the opposite sides of themselves...yet they grew stronger and powerful in love for one another...
Just like magnets, we could be opposites...But at the end of the day, we were always pulled right back together. Two sides of the same object. attracted to each other by the mutual love we shared.
And they made it work...

3.5 “straight out of a Grimm’s fairy tale, or a Ralph Lauren catalogue” Stars!
This was an enjoyable read. If you’ve read Privileged, then you’ve met he heroine of this story Eloise. You know she ran with a... well privileged crew back in her high school days. Although you don’t really NEED to have read that book to understand this one, it lends to the story to know a bit about her personality, and fun because some of the other characters do pop up as well.
I think Eloise makes a great heroine. She’s come to Vermont for a year of school to get the American experience before heading back to Paris to finish becoming a master chef! She’s looking for college parties, new friends, and fun. What she ends up getting is invited to pledge a super secret social club filled with questionable characters, and a giant hotshot basketball player that she did not see coming. I enjoyed her storyline, and I liked her transformation from outward ice queen to warm and loving. It was interesting to read her in friendships and relationships where she didn’t need to be so guarded!
Colton is just a cocky hot guy who is beyond talented at basketball. Beneath all that sexy is so much more. He usually keeps his love life at hook-ups as any relationships he’s tried, just haven’t been working out. That is until he meets a sassy British ice queen, and it all changes for him. Colton has his own secrets, and when they are uncovered crap hits the fan. I liked Colton, and I liked that in the end everything wasn’t so easy for him. His back story is a little sad. You will definitely feel your heartstrings pull for him. It’s like you want to wring his neck and hug him at the exact same time.
I think that Colton and Eloise were a very good fit. I do wish that we got more of their relationship building. I think maybe one of the side plots could have been condensed so that we could have gotten more of their growth. Since the side plots resolve pretty simply even after so much time is spent on them. I still get their bond to each other and how they are such a good fit, but I would have enjoyed more and that’s why I took some stars away.
Other than that this is a good read. A story about the secrets kept in an elite colleges social clubs, and a love story that unfolds for two people who weren’t planning on each other at all!

Elite is definitely my second favorite book by Carrie Aarons.
We may have had our differences, but Aarons knew how to keep my attention, I was enthralled, I fell in love with the characters and their lives, their secrets, and no one was stopping me to know more about them.
Colton & Eloise were an amazing pair of characters. We didn't fall in love immediately but they worked for it, and they got it.
"Colton and I were two opposite sides of a coin that just happened to fit perfectly together."
This was a couple that was definitely perfect for each other. As the quote said, they fit perfectly together. There was no unnecessary drama here and I'm grateful for that.
The story had a missing piece, an unresolved incident that had me really intrigued, but here's hoping the reason the author decided to leave me that way is because she's planning on writing a book about it. A girl can dream, right?
I honestly didn't think I could love this book as much as I did, but Carrie blew me away once again with her ability to engage me with her words, making me feel what the characters were experiencing. She definitely gets better with every novel she writes and I'm so excited to see what she comes up with next.

Do you love drama? Backstabbing? Mystery? Then Elite by Carrie Aarons is definitely a book to read.
Colton, the hero of Elite, is the basketball star of the college campus. People adore him, and women fall at his feet. Although we get glimpses of this persona, the author shows more of what is underneath this facade with his internal dialogue and conversations with Eloise. This part of Colton is what readers will love. His heart coupled with the bit of magic charisma makes him incredibly charming. He is flawed though, but what readers will love most his acceptance of responsibility for the flaw and what motivates him in the first place.
Eloise has bantering down to a science, and I enjoyed her wit and intellect. She also has an incredible sense of honor and doing what is right. Throughout the story we get to see the softer side to her character, and this makes readers like her as much as Colton does.
Elite is serious mean girl territory. There is backstabbing, mystery, crimes, coverups, and so much more. There are specific parts of the story that do not seem to connect, but she does bring them together eventually. What would have made this a five star rating, though, is if the fall out from the climax of the story has more of an impact on the characters. I love where she took them at the end of the story because they are truly great characters worthy of an HEA, but I needed a serious fall out that just wasn’t really delivered.
Elite is over-flowing with the petty yet entertaining drama of the wealthy and privileged. It hits all the boxes of angst filled romances.

Carrie Aarons is back with her Privileged series and introduces us to Eloise Mason who is friends with Nora Randolph - from the first book. Eloise was like Nora and wasn't always wealthy until her father starred in a film which later led him to be one of Britain's best male lead actors and set her family into the wealthy category. Eloise dreams of being a chef, and after studying at the Sorbonne, she wants a change of pace and heads to Jade Mountain in Vermont. She applies for a semester abroad in the USA. The college she has chosen is anything but normal, and Eloise is about to be introduced to the world of the Elite's children with secret societies, scandals, and secrets - anything to keep on top of the world. At Jade Mountain, Eloise meets Colton Reiter - the star Basketball player; he is a basketball prodigy. Though like Eloise was, he wasn't always accustomed to this world and lately he has been doing and involved in some dodgy dealings to help his mother back home. What will happen though when he's had enough and tries to back out? Will his position in the world of the "Elite" come crashing down and everything he has ever worked for - vanish overnight and he has to return to his rags world of the living? As a fan of New Adult romance and boarding school novels, I loved Carrie Aarons's Elite as it takes us into a world that most of us only ever dream about and it does get you thinking - is having all that money make you happy? Recently, this has had me thinking as I watched the UK show Rich House, Poor House and they had a family life swap with one family from the 10% wealthy and the 10% poor and they had to live each other's lives for a week. The ones who went from no money to money - loved living in luxury as it was an experience and a treat but the ones who went from money to poor found their family unit getting closer and spent quality time with each other, something they had never really done before. It's almost a no-win situation.

Elite is Eloise's book from Privileged. You don't need to read Privileged in order to understand anything in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it's characters.
Carrie hooked me on her writing with Privileged so it was a no brainer for me to want to read this one. Eloise is visiting states during her spring semester of college (or university to her) because she needs a break from the stressful course she's been taking the last year or so. Eloise is also visiting the states because she's always wanted to experience the culture, especially since her best friend, Nora is from the states.
This is a great college romance story that has the right amount of suspense added in. While I did love the problems that were set forth before Eloise and Colton, I wish Carrie would given us a bit more with those areas. I felt they were sort of breezed over and dealt with too quickly, which my reasoning for a 4 star review and not 5 stars.
I loved watching Eloise and Colton's relationship blossom over time, even though they were both smitten with the other early on. Carrie did a great job of letting this play out naturally and adding in the suspenseful parts well. Everything flowed nicely and moved along at the right pace.
Overall, I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters. Colton and Eloise were mature with how they handled things and their relationship was hot!!
I am looking forward to more stories from other characters within these stories.

Utterly fantastic and Epic continuation to the Privileged saga!
Carrie Aarons has delivered a new adult romance, Elite, with mature characters that have captivated us and blew me away yet again. As a fan of the Privileged world, I was happy to know it’s continuing with Eloise’s story. Aarons’ writing brings emotions to the tables that once you experience you’ll be gasping for more.
Eloise Mason, British heiress who wants a little freedom, she travels halfway around the world to get away from high society life only to find it again at Jade Mountain University. She realizes that America’s Ivy league schools are not that different from her home life. She comes face to face with basketball champ Colton Reiter and both figure out they have more in common underneath the surface of their persona’s.
Can they help each other out, with their personal baggage that weighs them down? Meanwhile, multiple secrets are to revealed but will they succumb to them. That’s the daunting question?
Aarons' work is compelling. She develops two characters that are a match made in heaven. So perfect together, pieces of a puzzle that just fit. I really enjoyed Eloise and Colton’s relationship. If you haven’t read Privileged than I suggest you do so you can grasp this world that Eloise comes from.
Another exceedingly well written YA/Contemporary romance by Carrie Aarons.

Eloise is a well off British Student who wanted to come to an American College which lead her to Jade Mountain University in Thistle, Vermont. Eloise and her parents haven't always been rich.. They actually were dirt poor until Eloise father became a very famous actor. Becoming jaded with the rich life and wanting some freedom was the main reason she chose an American College.
Colton is the golden all star baseball athlete for the College. So he is used to being a hit with the ladies and is getting board with it all. But Colton is also dealing with some strong secrets that he feels he has to do to keep things going. When Colton sees Eloise for the first time he see something in her that makes him feels something he hasn't really felt before. Eloise isn't impressed with Colton and the act he is giving her. Eloise has seen people just like him and gives him the brush off. But as they dig further into seeing the real person in each other they find that maybe they are so different nor so indifferent to each other.
Really enjoyed this book!

If you loved Nora’s sidekick in the previous book you will be so happy because yes it’s Eloise’s turn and she doesn’t disappoint.
I wanted a mean girls vibe with some hot college jocks thrown in and boy oh boy did the author deliver.
Eloise wants an escape and decides to do the American college thing, I loved how she decided to go all in, the food the men the sorority. She is such a sassy chick I loved all the British sayings and her witty humour.
Colton the campus hotshot has it all, good looking, basketball god but don’t be fooled by the exterior because he has secrets and once those layers are pulled back we see a tender thoughtful young man.
Together the two of them are combustible but the relationship develops into something much deeper. The drama comes from outside influences which gave the mean girls vibe.
I loved this story so much, this is fast turning out to be one of my favourite series.

Together the two of them are combustible but the relationship develops into something much deeper. The drama comes from outside influences which gave the mean girls vibe.
I loved this story so much, this is fast turning out to be one of my favourite series.

After reading Privileged I just knew I was going to hit this one. This elite world of privileged is always so greatly delivered by Carrie. And there's always something behind the story. I love that.
I'm a big fan of stories about college life and this book is definitely a good one.
It is filled with suspense, gorgeous main characters and unexpected surprises.

So it scares the shit out of me that this flame exists between Eloise and I, that flickering mutual desire that has us circling each other like animals.
I don't need, or have time, to entertain the idea of being with someone.

This was a fantastic read and I really enjoyed it. It had some super steamy scenes and I just loved the banter between Colton & Eloise. This book also had a mystery aspect to it.
Eloise had a spine of steel and did not let anyone get to her ever. And I loved that about her. I also loved how there was no over the top drama taking pace either. Sometimes these college romances can be a bit over the top but not this one. I loved every single page!

Elite is the follow up to Privilege, which now Eloise, the best friend of Nora who stuck by her through thick and thin. Now firmly in new adult territory , a lot has changed. Graduated now and chasing her dreams to become a chef, Eloise is about to embarked on a big adventure.
The tables have turned somewhat in this novel, whilst the parallels can be draw that Eloise is an outsider in a similar situation, travelling half way around the world to a new school and new life. However there one key different that sets the tone of the novel and makes this story , unique and an interesting standalone. Eloise knows how to handles herself and she is about to be challenge nevertheless by this Ivy League College in Vermont.
Eloise was the girl who became rich by chance, her father becoming a successful and whilst she loves the opportunities she has now. She hasn’t forgotten her roots and it grounds her. It steeds her well given the situation that unfolds in front of her eyes when she finds her own bad boy in the form of the school basketball star.
Colton is the playboy of the school, and obviously quickly these two but heads as Eloise isn’t interested. She wants fun but Colton isn’t doing anything for her when she first meets him. The girl puts him straight and doesn’t care about the basketball. . However the story takes an interesting turn as both find themselves needing each other help as they discover guarded secrets that adds a bit of suspense to the story. Colton’s secret could destroy him and Eloise could destroy others for the greater good.
Turning this story in a bit of suspense novel as the author holds the card close to her chest and reveals information slowly as the two find their way to each other and face on these secrets. It’s not all doom and gloom but it hard slog. As despite being very different on first glances, these two have a lot more in common and I love how their relationship is built around the common ground. Another thing I loved was the whole society/frats we were presented in this novel ,that open up to a world that offered everything but it wasn’t . The follow standalone Elite, is another wonderful novel from Aarons that I enjoyed a lot.

Carrie Aarons privileged came out of nowhere for me last year. I loved it so hard as it honestly blew my mind. For this reason I was SOOO excited for Eloise's story in Elite. Colton and Eloise had fiery chemistry and banter that left me panting for more. You could feel their sexual chemistry right off the pages! I loved their story and never wanted it to end.
In Elite, Aarons writes the perfect heroine who is not only strong, sassy and independent but also a world weary heiress who has seen and heard the same old lines and actions and who is now looking for a break from the glitz and glamor of the privilged British Society. She comes to Jade University looking for clarity and to escape her hectic life . But she never could have expected to encounter Colton Reiter. The King of the Court, a verified Basketball God, Colton is one of Jade University's elite. And after one look and exchange with the British spitfire, it was ON. But when devastating secrets that have the power to cripple the mask that Colton wears come to light, will Eloise be able to handle the man behind the facade?
I enjoyed Colton and Eloise immensely. I loved their connection and how they recognized that their relationship was meaningful and different from everything they've ever had before. The level of trust they had for one another was so amazing to see and gave me all the feels. Furthermore, Eloise had such a sassy way about her making Colton work for her attention and feelings. She is my favorite heroine this author has written to date.
All in all this story in its entirety was fantastic and very compelling. I hope this author has more books in this series as I'm not ready to let the Privileged world end! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

In Elite, Europe meets the US and what a meeting it is! Though we first meet Eloise in Privileged, this can truly be read as a standalone. Though I also recommend Privileged!
Eloise Mason is ready for a change of pace and believes heading abroad for a semester is just what she needs. She wants to have fun and leave the world she knows behind for a while. But she learns quickly that though she may be miles away from home, things may not be that different after all. Eloise was such a strong, fiery and independent woman and I loved that about her.
Colton Reiter rules Jade Mountain University. He is the king of the court both on and off the field. His future is all but set, but he also has secrets that could destroy everything. I loved Colton. He was strong, sexy and cocky but there is another side to him as well. One look at Eloise and he is hooked.
Eloise is so excited to be at Jade Mountain University and be away from the stress of life that is the high society she is from in Europe. Then she encounters Colton and all bets are off. Their chemistry is immediate and strong. I loved how good Eloise and Colton were together. They really lean on each other.
I enjoyed Elite very much. I found it to be a fun read with lots of chemistry and suspense thrown in. This story flowed so well and really kept me drawn in. Eloise and Colton had a great relationship with each other and I loved them as characters!

More like 4.5 Stars because this is by far my favorite Carrie Aarons book I have read!! We met Eloise in "Privileged" and I longed to hear her story of life after the one she had in England. This book takes place a few years after "Privileged" when Eloise becomes an exchange student in America. While she still has some of her snarky, rich girl tendencies in this story we really get to see where she came from, her journey to the present in the book, and what she really is all about. I must say that I really enjoyed getting to know her big, amazing heart. While in America Eloise meets Colton who is a big time basketball star and let's just say that the outside does not tell the entire story. Their journey is fun, sweet, heart breaking, and so very enjoyable.

What a story of high class college students. It literally blew my mind at times but It was well worth it just to continue with Eloise and Coltons story. They really have a great friendship.

Elite by Carrie Aaarons is an edgy new adult romance that I couldn’t put down!
Eloise Mason has big dreams of becoming a famous chef, but before she finishes her schooling, she wants to live one semester in America living life abroad, and since she has the means to do it, she does. She may come off as a spoiled rich girl, but she is nothing like this. Eloise as we get to know her more (we did meet her in Privileged) is very down to earth and I adored her character, and her ability to know right from wrong, and to protect the ones she truly cares about.
On her first night on campus, she runs into Colton, the big basketball star on campus, and she shuts him down. She’s intrigued by him, but she doesn’t want to get involved, but that only drives him to want her more. Everywhere Eloise ends up, she ends up running into Colton, and these two getting together becomes inevitable. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and the banter between them is hilarious. I couldn’t wait to see what they would be like once Eloise finally gave in, and let me tell you, it was amazing. Once she stopped fighting him, it was awesome. They may be complete opposites, but they balance one another out, and they may actually be more similar than they think.
Both of these characters have a lot going on, and watching Colton struggle with decisions he’s made, and Eloise helping him was hard. He’s messed up, but watching Eloise, understand and then work on helping him, was beautiful and truly showed what kind of person she was. When she was in trouble, and the sacrifices he made to help her.. it made my heart break and happy all at once. It showed just how amazing his character truly is.
I adored watching Colton and Eloise come together in this book and watch their relationship grow, but I also loved watching the two of them grow as individuals. This was a beautiful tale of right and wrong, growing up, and finding the person you belong with and doing everything you can to support and love them. The only thing I wish was that we would have seen what happened with the stuff Eloise was dealing with at the end of her time in school, as I felt that part of the story was left a little bit unfinished and glossed over, but other than that it was a beautiful story. I adored Colton, even with all of his “flaws”. If you’re looking for an edgy and raw new adult romance, then you need to pick up Elite by Carrie Aarons today!

In this elite world, the offspring of the wealthy and powerful engage in various vices. And many have dangerous secrets. Power and influence are wielded by "social clubs" that operate on campus. Eloise receives a warning: "You should stay away from those people" (kindle p.69).
Eloise reflects on Thistle: "It was a beautiful, and somewhat mysterious town even still, nestled between the mountains and lake" (kindle p. 200).

So much potential.......
A young adult, sports romance set in a College for the wealthy and gifted... this book had so many of the elements that would make it an automatic must read for me.... the premise was interesting and the blurb certainly captured my attention ...but unfortunately I found it disappointing....
The narrative is divided between the two main characters and the dual perspective certainly provides an insight into their mind set and opinions on the events as they play out... Colton, the college basketball legend and all round ‘player’.. is as an egocentric jock with a faulty moral compass ..secrets emerge and there is a price to pay but I never really felt any empathy with this character...
The female lead, Eloise, is not realistic or relatable; she comes across as an overprivileged and shallow brat with an overinflated opinion of herself.. her thought processes and language seemed rather childish for a supposedly sophisticated and worldly young woman..the low point was when she used ‘plonker’ to describe a guys male parts (Amazon approved version)... and although purportedly from the UK her use of ‘slags’ to address a group of female students she had only just met did not fit with the situation in which the comment was made...sadly I did not like her, and of course, that is a major problem for the plot development and ‘love story’ that plays out in these pages..The couple are also surrounded by an elitist group of snobs and lowlives; few of them had any redeeming qualities and the plot development did not allow for any of them to truly grow..
The overall structure also caused me some concern ... I can not put my finger on exactly what was wrong, but I found that the narrative didn’t always flow easily and a few times I had to re-read a passage because it was overlong and tricky to understand...this made reading it laborious on occasions..
All of this negativity being said this was an entertaining enough story and the couple definitely deserved each other, but for me this is just about a 3 star read which could have been so much more with some judicious editing and reworking of the characters....This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads...

This book was so enjoyable and fun, sweeping me away with the mysterious secret societies and clubs of the privileged few at Jade Mountain University. A story which had plenty of drama and tension throughout!

I loved Eloise's character in this. She was intrigued by the Charter, but it didn't take her away from her independence. I loved her friendship with Colton, and the chemistry between the two of them was brilliant. Colton was wonderful, charming, cocky and handsome, but with a heart of gold going above and beyond for those he loves!
Overall a really enjoyable book full of twists and turns which will keep the pages turning and your heart racing!!

I loved Eloise's character in this. She was intrigued by the Charter, but it didn't take her away from her independence. I loved her friendship with Colton, and the chemistry between the two of them was brilliant. Colton was wonderful, charming, cocky and handsome, but with a heart of gold going above and beyond for those he loves!
Overall a really enjoyable book full of twists and turns which will keep the pages turning and your heart racing!!

This is a follow on standalone novel from the same timeline as Privileged. It stars one of the secondary characters, Eloise Mason, the daughter of a famous TV star. Eloise wants to be a chef and has been training in the Sorbonne in Paris. Tired of the in-fighting and her overbearing professors she takes moves to Jade Lake University in Vermont, thinking it’ll be an easy few months and a break from routine.
She wasn’t expecting to be invited to join an exclusive sorority, nor to meet Colton Reiter the star university’s basketball player all in the same day. Eloise is used to playing games, but not the kind these girls have in mind. She doesn’t back down and in the process she gets closer and closer to Colton.
There was just something about that British girl. Whether it was her accent or her devil-may-care attitude, Colton just couldn’t get her out of his head and he needs a clear one to be the star player he is. He’s dedicated three years to get to where he is, but not without making some sacrifices and mistakes along the way. When Eloise discovers what he’s been hiding will she turn on him or help fix his problems?
This was quite a twisty, turny story. Plenty of intrigue but not a lot of angst. Colton and Eloise fell into loving each other so easily and believably, I was rooting for the all the way. This was a fantastic coming of age story and had me gripped in its tale. Nice to have a little peek at Nora and Asher from Privileged. Looking forward to the next standalone in this series where the high society meets the common touch.

Damn what a good book!!! As always this author never disappoints. It was young adult story but with so much angst and emotions. These college kids were ruthless, lol.
I liked Eloise from Privileged and her relationship with Nora which we see a little bit of here; too little for my liking since Asher and Nora are still my favorites. Eloise sarcasm attracted basketball hottie Colton. Colton had lots of secrets that he hid from his friends. It’s like he was living a double life but he had legit reasons for doing it. He’s never been into relationships until the gorgeous sassy Brit walked into his life and school.
Eloise was not dropping to kiss the ground Colton walked on at the beginning but he was a glutton for punishment and never gave up pursuing her. Deep down she enjoyed it. Finally they started a relationship that at first she didn’t think much of but he was falling in love with her. And she was also falling in love with him but had very little reserves.
Eloise turned out to be more than what Colton expected and she was definitely his ride or die. The things she did for Colton were just wow. She tried not to show how much of a good heart she has trying to maintain her reputation but her real friends like Nora knew better. Colton couldn’t believe that based on all his drama how Eloise never ran away. She did the complete opposite and stood by his side.
Loved the ending and can’t wait to read more on this couple along with Nora and Asher.

There a tons of ways to say that what goes around comes back around. The sassy Brit chick has plenty to say to the ridiculously gorgeous piece of man meat in front of her, if only she could reel her tongue in long enough to do so. If you loved that Nora had a decent friend in Privileged, you will love knowing that this is Eloise's time to shine. (Though we see Nora..and perhaps her adorable, reformed bad boy too.)
Looking for a diversion, Eloise flees the pressure of the Sorbonne for an American college experience. Though I don't recall a slurpee scene at Wawa's, Eloise lives it up in the small college town. Even so much as to snare the attention of the local athletic "god", Colton.
These two are bound to happen. They are fighting a losing battle and when they break boy is that hot!!!
Elite is just as much backstabbing drama as Privileged but with a Skulls vibe to it. (Apparently 90s movies make better books,though Joshua Jackson and Paul Walker made me love that movie.)It's fun, feisty, and even a bit freaky....;) Elite is everything most people want to be. Isn't it

I have read several of Carrie's book and once again she gives a drama, a little mystery, and a whole lot of a love story. Elite gives you all the feels and more!

Eloise is a British College student who has decided to come to an American college in Vermont. Her family was dirt poor, until her father made it as famous actor. She is wanting to escape that life and that is why she choose a college in America.
When Colton see Eloise for the first time he feels something that he has never felt. Eloise isn't impressed but Colton. As the spend time together they both realize that they might not be so different after all. What happens when Colton tries to break ties from his past?
I can't wait to see what Carrie writes next and the see where this series goes.

I loved the book. I'd been hoping Carrie would give us Eloise's story after I met her in Privileged and boy did she deliver!
It's hard to say who I loved more, Eloise or Colton. The two of them certainly set off sparks and I loved their banter and interactions. Plus once they gave in to the pull between them, it's like they only got hotter! I loved getting into their heads. Both Eloise and Colton are flawed, but I loved how they were willing to take actions that were unpopular, but right.
Elite isn't just hot, but it's also intense and really pulled on my emotional heartstrings. I shouldn't have been surprised because I know Carrie writes angst and feelings really well, but it was the perfect mix. I hope Carrie continues to write in the Privileged/Elite world. It was great to see Nora and Asher again!
