A blonde, a brunette, and a red-head walk into a bank…
And rob it.

As Lacey waits for Baby Luzzi to make his or her appearance, she’s decided to cool her jets on the whole “chasing criminals” lifestyle at her husband’s insistence. She’s settled in comfortably as part-time help at her best friend’s bar and, though the work might be a tad boring after years of explosions and car chases, it’s a safe job, relatively sanitary, and uneventful—for most people.

Lacey isn’t most people.

Caught in the middle of a bank heist, Lacey’s priceless wedding ring is now in the hands of three ladies known to the media as the Femme Fatale. The thieves might have gotten away with three heists across the Twin Cities to date, but one hitch they didn’t count on was a pregnant lady scorned. Lacey Luzzi’s hormones are on the fritz, her sugar habits are out of control, and her tears are flowing freely. This time, the robbers picked on the wrong gal.

With a due date approaching rapidly, Lacey and Meg are bound and determined to recover Lacey’s ring and put this case behind them...before she’s delivering more than guilty criminals on the job.

You either hate it or love it. The story is ridiculous, but in a good way. Great humor for the most part.

The action is ridiculous, Meg is … Meg x2000, poor Lacey is actually trying to stay OUT of trouble this time, only to be caught in the middle of two bank robberies. Now with the impending birth of baby Luzzie, Nona stalking her for baby whispering time, a possibly crooked cop to unmask, a wedding ring to recover, it’s all Lacey can do to simply stay ahead of the bank robbers before baby Luzzie makes his/her arrival in the most spectacular way.

You might see the very high average rating on GR and think it's just people who get this book for free, but it's actually not. It's the fans of this series. I admit, I wasn't that impressed with book 1, although I liked it, but it's become better as it goes on, plus, as I have said in other reviews, it's so fun to not have to bother with love triangles.

Lacey is back and it's late in her pregnancy. I completely related to her disliking the term "very pregnant"--btdt. The book opens with her and Meg at the bank where, as the book blurb tells you, they are victims of a heist. What's more, the three women bank-robbers take Lacey's temporary wedding ring which is the only thing she has of her late mother's. She and Meg determine to get it back despite Anthony's admonitions to do nothing, but Lacey works much harder to stay safe. In the meantime, Meg has bought Lacey a suffering Venus Flytrap to help her prepare to be a mother. (these things always give me a chuckle, since there is virtually nothing about caring for plants that helps being a parent), but when they take it to a plant store for help, it turns out that someone has been stealing plants, so Meg volunteers to watch.

There is plenty of mayhem and fun in this book, and it's great to read after reading some darker, heavier books earlier in the evening (rather like a combination of a palate cleanser and a dessert).

Another hit!

I absolutely loved this book, just like all of her others. I read it in a day. I laughed until I cried and just cried at other parts. This book gave me all the "feels. Do yourself a favor and read this series.

Ok guys this is a review for the entire series 😅.
🎧 I did the audios (which was such a mess and highly disappointing) so
I’m gonna break down this whole series without any major plot spoilers but this will have relationship spoilers and the series character progression spoilers.
I wanted a good long audio series. It was my main reason for picking this up!

Overall this was..
Romcom
Suspend disbelief
Silly antics
Mafia family- but also not really done well
Over the top antics
Light and mostly fun listening
Cozy mystery
Crazy reacurring side characters

‼️Book 1-3….
🎧audio was good w a narrator who did voices and personalities.

The first 3 books was hard for the romance. I didn’t like that she was dating OP and that Anthony was wishy washy. I also would have liked confirmation that he wasn’t dating and hooking up w OW.

I didn’t enjoy the weird way the author tried to write a love and romance. She dragged it out way too much and not in a fun way.

😡Why is she still hooking up w her looser ex!
And why is the H waiting so long and sending mixed signals for 4books??!!!

😡Also making the h pathetic isn’t attractive. She was legit in the next room while her ex he was hooking up w OW and she has seen him w a revolving door in his bed. Why is she still hooking up w him in book 3 when Anthony has told her multiple times he wants her and they have had more then one make out sess? It makes her come off as so gross and cheap w no self respect.
Way to much push and pull with Anthony the H. Makes him seem like a douche.

‼️ Book 4-
🎧Audio is the same and still good!
By the end we are finally getting somewhere with the romance! And FINALLY Lacy seems to be growing a bit.

‼️Book 5-
🎧HORRID! We went to VIRTUAL VOICE🫨 after having a great narrator w personality.
Also the story is FINALLY getting better and better and the romance was stating to get super sweet. So I was bummed about the audio big time!

‼️Book 6-
NO AUDIO AVAILABLE!!! WTF I did Alexa reading to me. What a freaking mess!
Also since the romance and story anew literally getting better w each book this is ruining my experience.

‼️Book 7-10-
🎧ALL VIRTUAL VOICE! 🫨 I guess it was better than Alexa reading it to me but WTF I mean this author really needs to get consistent with her audios.
The story was great though these were my fav of the series. We had character growth. Super sweet romance that I loved. And we got some fun storylines and mysteries. TO ME THESE BOOKS WERE THE BEST IN THE SERIES AND WHERE RHE SERIES PEAKED.
Such a shame about the audios! 😭😭😭

‼️Books 11- 12-
🎧BACK TO NARRATION! So great audios
But man the characters and the storylines took a plummet for me. Lacy was annoying me and so was Meg. Anthony turned into her useless husband. I mean he was head security for the mafia and couldn’t keep her safe! And Lacy was pregnant and putting herself in danger. I was annoyed. It’s not cute when you have real adult stuff happening to be acting like an immature child.

‼️Book 13-
🎧Back to ZERO AUDIO!
Fucking hell!!!!!! I mean really!? And I’m over it and ready for this series to end.

‼️Overall my experience of this series was def positive and I did enjoy the majority of the mysteries and stories.
I love the romance after book 4.
But to much stuff dragged to long w the characters and their growth and development.
The audios were a freaking mess! And had I known I wouldn’t have spent money buying the first 4!
By the time the series ended I felt sad to see it go but also ready. I did enjoy watching to romance bloom and grow and then get married and have kids but like I said other factors also made my experience less enjoyable to.

🍭🎂ALSO SIDE NOTE BUT NO GROWN WOMAN CAN EAT ALL THAT SUGAR! IT WAS OK AT FIRST BUT ANGUGE TURN OFF WHEN SHE BECAME PREGNANT!
Not cute just gross.

Overall safe.
Book 1-4 not really cause she is hooking up w her ex douche bag BF
No clue is Anthony is hooking up w OW.
After book 3 No OP at all.
Anthony never had a serious GF
Lacy had Laney of experience her ex bf wanted to marry her.

Also how did Anthony and Lacy not meet for 2 years when he lived on her grandfathers property? When he is the head of security for the family and that included her? Made no sense!

All the feels. I loved this installment of the Luzzi clan craziness. I laughed and I cried. So many laugh out loud moments from dialogue and visuals. So many sweet moments with Nora and Anthony, even Clay who is as destructive as helpful. Anthony is the total package, and I love their relationship. I enjoyed the storyline and really enjoyed the plot twist at the end. As usual, the clan is over the top and get into all kinds of random situations. Lacy is determined to get back her mother's ring and gets involved in yet another dangerous adventure. She is in denial about Sprout. So many soon to be parents can relate. It feels like an end of the series book, I sure hope not.
My only criticism is Meg. Though she is loyal and protective, even fun zany, she has hit to stupid to live status most of this book. I couldn't skip her sections, because I love the other characters. I used to love her, but the last few books have been turning me away from her. It's not e n tough to drop a star, the book is really good and I highly recommend.

Never cross a "VERY" pregnant, hormonal soon to be Mama Bear and her Best Friend and cohort, Meg!
When you think this is a great series, how could the next installment get any better, you are met with Sprouted the 11th book in the Lacy Luzzi series! Gina LaManna has hit another home run in this one. From the first sentence you know there is no way you will be able to put this book down without finishing it in one sitting! Lacy and the whole Luzzi dysfunctional clan which includes Meg are at it again. A "very" pregnant Lacy (she hates that word), is due any time and decided that she can't get involved in anything other than having the baby without incident. Well, this is Lacy and Meg - and if you've read previous books in the series, you will know that it is NEVER the case! As innocent as it started, Lacy and Meg go to the bank to deposit Lacy's mother's ring, the only possession she has left from her mother, for safe keeping until it fits her unpregnant hand again. As things have it, while they are there, the bank is robbed by what the media dubbed as the Femme Fatale robbers, a blond, brunette and a red-head. When they steal Lexi's mother's ring, they awoke a hormonal, sugar addicted, mama bear! While her husband, Anthony says let the police handle it, you just can't stop a mama bear! With Meg prompting her one, they decide to investigate on their own, especially while the detective in charge keeps dismissing then as crazy civilians with a special hate against the Luzzi family. And the story goes on with lots of crazy twists and turns not least among them, Nora who does some crazy things through her excitement of a Great Grandchild. You will shed lots of tears and have lots of real laughs at the crazy events that happen throughout. Also, we have the relationship between Meg and Clay, will there be more? Wait and see. I LOVE this series and devour each and every book as it comes out. I received an ARC from the author, but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Lacey is back and “very” pregnant. While for little Sprout to make an appearance, she gets stuck in the middle of a bank robbery. Of course, she can’t let it go until it’s solved. Whenever you get Lacey and Meg together it’s always a guaranteed good time! Mystery, laughs, and romance will keep you turning the pages all night.

For once Lacey Luzzi is trying her hardest to stay out of trouble because she is just about to give birth. What an exciting time, only a little more exciting that she wants when she is in line at the bank when it is being robbed. Her intent was to put her mother's ring in the safety deposit box until after the birth when her fingers would return to a more normal size. Instead the box ends up in the robber's bag and Lacey is mad.

Once again Meg and Lacey get their teeth into a crime and like a dog with a bone, they can't let it go. And once again author Gina LaManna has given us a new Lacey Luzzi Maffia Mystery that is punctuated with laughs and situations only Lacey and Meg could be in. Clay and Anthony have their humorous moments as well, with just a little "Auntie" Nora thrown in for good measure. Lots of tears later (mine from laughing and Lacey's from being pregnant and giving birth) and I would be hard pressed to say when such a cockamayne story has been so much fun to read.

The author has given us so many great characters and side stories that when I finished all I could think of was how I wanted to read the whole thing again right away. The loyalty of friends and husband, the family love both of the living and the past, and the friendly and lively new characters are an unbeatable combination that added together makes a book delightful for all ages. Don't miss reading this series (in order) and the newest addition, Sprouted.

It's been a much-anticipated wait for Sprouted, book 11 in the Lacey Luzzi series, especially if you've been following Lacey's story from the very beginning! With the buildup for how Nora would react to actually having a great-grand baby to love and cherish, Lacey's propensity for being a trouble magnet, Meg and Clay's respective hijinx, Carlos' slowly melting heart, and Anthony being... well... Anthony, Sprouted was destined to be a smash hit before it was ever even released!

To get the most enjoyment out of this awesome book, you should definitely check out the other books in Gina LaManna's Lacey Luzzi series. You won't be disappointed! This story, along with all of the others, is chock-full of fun, mystery, suspense, crazy antics, romance, food {although this one has much less caffeine... ;^) }, surprising twists and turns, and so much more! It's probably safe to say that there's something for just about everybody to enjoy here, unicorns included... (Just read the series. You'll understand soon enough!!) =)

This particular part of Lacey's story is rich with an in-depth understanding of what the pregnancy experience is like, with a Luzzi twist! If you've ever had kids, you'll definitely be able to identify with large swaths of Sprouted. If not, you'll still get plenty of laughs from Lacey's perspective of her ever-closer due date (and can smile smugly that you've never fallen prey to the dreaded "sausage fingers"). Either way, it's a great read!

Another fun installment into the life and times of Lacey Luzzi. This one had a couple different mysteries her and her BFF Meg worked to solve. One minor one and the major one which sprouted (wink wink) a few different mini mysteries that all came together in the end. There is plenty of humor in this one. I think mothers (and expectant mothers) will particularly love this book. :D It's all about Lacey in her ninth month of pregnancy. All your favorite characters are there. Clay and his tinkering mishaps. Meg actually does some smart thinking (but of course that wild & crazy side of her is still present.) Nora being all smotherly and Carlos trying to avoid them all. Lets not forget that hunky husband, Anthony. Lacey and Meg are getting smarter and more confident in their abilities. Even though Lacey isn't actively working while she's pregnant, she still finds herself getting involved with the crimes despite her best intentions. There are a couple heart warming moments, and SPOILER ALERT... we get to see big strong Anthony cry. Quirky, fun, easy/quick to read. This is clean and safe for teens and up. It is part of a series, and while the characters and their relationships continue and evolve throughout the series, this can be read as a stand alone. Of course, you'll enjoy it more if you read at least the last couple of books leading up to this one.

This is a great book; this is the eleventh book in the Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mystery series and is written by Gina LaManna. This book can be read as a standalone, but you will want to go back and read the other books so you can get the characters history. Lacey is pregnant and due anytime, while at the bank it gets robbed and they end up taking Lacey’s mothers wedding ring. With a due date approaching rapidly, Lacey and Meg are bound and determined to recover Lacey’s ring and put this case behind them. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

“A Blonde, A Brunette, & A Redhead Walk Into A Bank......”

“And rob it.”

Sorry I had to steal that line! It was perfect, just as this book was perfect. Gina LaManna weaves an excellent story that kept me hooked from beginning to end. I held my breath, I cried (tears of joy, of course, & tears of sadness), & I laughed so hard at some of the uproariously funny situations I nearly wet my pants! The Luzzis & friends are the most eccentrically dysfunctional family, yet it all works because underneath they have good hearts & love for each other. Lacey has matured so much with the impending birth of “Sprout”. Unfortunately as it’s Lacey & Meg, Lacey finds herself caught up in one dangerous predicament after another, (especially for a very pregnant woman.) This story is jammed packed with fun, happiness, anger, & lots of stupid decisions, & was absolutely impossible to put down!!

Oh, & p.s. I missed baby Arnold, baby Veenie definitely made up for it.

Lacey on hormones

I absolutly love the Lacey series. The stories always has me laughing and on suspense. Especially this one, book #11. Lucy is due to have her unknown gender baby and catches her hilariously in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even as she thinks she solves the mystery in the middle of labor, she has the intuition of knowing something was amiss and not completely solved. But of course she can’t do it alone, not without ex-cop, PI in training, bar tender BFF Meg, computer whiz Clay and her amazing husband Anthony. Nora has gone completely crazy over Lacey’s pregnancy, has talking sessions with the baby in the womb and gave Lacey the most incredible nursery for the newborn. Turns out the baby is a real Luzzi at birth and Clays adapted mobile for the nursery and take down grown men with tranquilizers only meant o keep the baby safe from any harm.

Wow, already number 11 of the Lacey Luzzi-series! I still remember the first ones. Lacey has matured so much since those early books.

She is married to hunky Anthony and baby is on the way. Nine months pregnant, she has promised Anthony to take it easy and give up on chasing after suspects. However, when 3 female bank robbers take Lacey's most precious possession (material that is, her mother's wedding ring) she can't help but nose around a bit with help of Meg.

Things are again crazy. It is not the mystery that drive these books, it is the slew of (lovable) characters. Sometimes a bit OTT (I thought the plant was a bit too much like the doll two books ago) but entertaining anyway. Lacey can sometimes be slightly immature and then BAM.. she is mama bear. I loved the references to Lacey's mother and the scenes with her grandmother.

Lacey & Anthony are weeks away from having their first child. Lacey is hormonal and trying to stay away from trouble. She unfortunately gets caught in the middle of a bank robbery by 3 femme fatales who take everything from the bank customers, including Lacey's wedding ring. She is not going to let them get away with that. Assisted by Meg they investigate to who the three are when another robbery occurs. Much to Anthony's dismay she and Meg start piecing together information while also helping out a local nursery who is getting robbed of trees and fauna. Lacey starts practicing motherhood by taking care of a plant. All things come to fruition with bank employee suspects, crooked cops, auto mechanics on the down low, and the birth of the Luzzi child!

Only Lacey, being nine months pregnant, would go to the bank, get robbed, then go look for the people that robbed her! Another great installment in the Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mystery Series! Ms. LaManna continues Lacey’s story, keeps it fresh and keeps you wanting to turn the page. Lots of laughs, lots of action (well as much action as you can get from a nine months pregnant woman 😆) and even some romance is included. You will love this series! (You can read this book as a stand-alone, but you’ll enjoy it more if you start with #0, “Scooped”, a prequel novella that starts at the beginning.) This book was gifted to me by the author, with no expectation for a review.

As a member of Gina Facebook group, I’ve been teased till I couldn’t sit where this book is concerned. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for my download and opening it immediately. Lacey and Meg always find trouble, even when they aren’t looking for it. And this time, Lacey really was trying to be a good girl.
I laughed, I cried, I felt sorry for Anthony, wanted to strangle Clay myself. The whole gang was around and it was a blast. Sprouted gave me everything I wanted in this installment and more. Now I’m left wondering when’s the next one coming Gina?
Seriously though, thank you for all your wonderful words. As always, they are most comically entertaining and heartfelt.

I know I said it before, but I'll just keep on saying it.....You cannot go wrong with a Gina LaManna book! They just keep getting better and better. In Sprouted, we get to experience Lacey and Anthony with a new arrival on the way. They are having a baby! Pregnant or not, Lacey is still Lacey, full of quirks and humor, with Anthony by her side. I must confess though, I love all of Gina LaManna's books, this series is my favorite! And, it's my favorite of all books. If you enjoy Janet Evanovitch's books, you will absolutely love these books! I cannot recommend this book enough....it's GREAT.

Even ready to pop out a baby, Lacey Luzzi can't help but to get into trouble.

Taking a break from her Lacey Luzzi Security, she's minding her own business when trouble finds her standing in a bank line.

This story was well written and humorous. I've always loved the trouble and antics Lacey and Meg get in to. This book is no different in that aspect. What is different is we see more of Meg and her aspirations.

If you already love Lacey and the gang, grab this book now! If you haven't them yet, grab the first book, Sprinkled and get to know everyone!

Another great read!!

This series is one of my favorites! Gina LaManna mixes just the right amount of witty banter, romance, and mystery in all of her novels! I mean what woman doesn't drool over the picture she paints of Anthony? And don't we all need a Meg and Clay in our lives? Well maybe a Clay without the deathly gadgets.....

This was another great addition to the series. Can't wait to see what mystery Lacey will get into next!

Gina LaManna outdid herself

The reining Queen of cozy mysteries gave it all in this book. Anyone who has had a baby will laugh at Lacey and the family. Reading this book the day before my oldest girl's birthday really brought back the memories leading up to her birth.

You will laugh, cry, and turn pages quickly under what I am calling the best Lacey Luzzi book yet

Another great addition to the Lacey Luzzi series. The entire cast of characters are included. Lacey's pregnancy hormones are contagious...you'll be laughing and crying. I love the tender moments with Lacey and Nora and especially with Meg.

The ending definitely was a surprise.

Make sure to read Gina LaManna's other series...all worth your reading.

Love, Love, Love this series. A very pregnant Lacey is at the local bank when a robbery occurs. The robbers took her wedding ring that belonged to her mother. Even though she said she was staying out of things, she quickly gets drawn in. Join Lacey and the crazy cast of characters that are her friends & family to find out what they discover.

Fantastic series

Wow. Such a fun series! I blew through them in 3 days because I literally could not stop. Lacey is probably in my top 10 female main characters. She’s funny, smart, practical... and did I mention funny? Meg... just wow. She’s a brilliantly written character that I wish I had for my best bud. I sincerely hope we get more of them!

What’s a mama bear to do?

It’s one thing to get into tangles alone but when pregnant? You better watch out! Hormones will get you every time!! I was thoroughly entertained the whole book. Meg is killer as always, Clay has his time and we got a lot of Anthony. I loved every word!
