I read this on a rec while looking for a "he waited until she was legal" micro trope and was not disappointed. Quick, easy read that was cute and funny. Super entertaining and left me wanting to Che k out more of the series.

Riley's life feels empty with her parents minimally engaged in her life and her grandmother is the only person she has ever felt like she could rely on. In a moment of desperation and despair, she breaks down and Gunner sees something in the beauty that matches his darkness.
Gunner is the enforcer of the Northern Grizzlies MC and has his fair share of demons and has lived the MC lifestyle and all that comes with that. Until the day he lays eyes on Riley. Unfortunately, Riley isn't quite 18 and the two of them promise when she isn't jail bait anymore, he will come for her and they'll be with no one else until that day.
Claiming Riley comes with its own problems but Gunner wants her. Riley has always wanted something special and someone to love and to love her back. But when all the cards are on the table will they still want to be together?
Gunner was action packed, spicy and full of MC violence and protocol. I liked Riley a lot. She was sure of herself even though she wasn't experienced and I liked that she stuck to her guns and didn't back down when she was smaller. Gunner was all alpha and I liked him but I didn't like the back and forth on whether to claim Riley. Sure there was a significant age gap but the premise of the story was finally being together. However, he did get his head out of ass and stop himself from losing the best thing that has ever happened to him.
Overall, a spicy and fun MC romance.

Read was ok. It sure why I am reading the whole series but oh well.
Gunner was true to his word and Riley was looking for a father figure. Mixed in with a conniving grandmother.

Gunner and Riley’s story is a true page grabber. I have loved this series from the beginning and it just keeps getting better. In this story we find Gunner, The Sergeant Of Arms and Riley a very young woman barely legal being drawn to each other. Gunner tells Riley that he will not touch her again until she’s 18, the day she turns 18 Riley shows up at the Clubhouse to be with Gunner. Gunner is baffled as to why she isn’t with any of her family on her birthday. After Riley explains her family to Gunner he makes it his mission to keep Riley happy and safe. Their relationship is one that is fought with a lot of misguided anger and resentment. After all how could someone with Riley’s family’s wealth and privilege up with a “man like him”. Riley is determined to let everyone know that Gunner is a good guy and he’s hers. But when Gunner has to go away for Club business all hell breaks lose. When Gunner is finally able to get away from the club he realizes Riley is gone. Ow the race is on, who took his sweetheart, the judge mental parents or the Money grabbing dirty cop? And more importantly will Gunner find Riley before it’s too late?

Love Riley and Gunner ,but their “story” not as much...
I was hooked when I read in the last book how Gunner was drawing teasing and speculation for being celibate, just knew it was for Riley and for a man soo used to getting it whenever and wherever ,that really touched me....
Then when Riley is at one of her lowest moments and Gunner walks up not wanting to have to deal w/some random woman,
Then stops and looks into her eyes she looks up,seeing their worlds til like that...
Was a Wow moment for me..... I really do think it could happen like that,there you are at one of your lowest moments ever and you look and see your soul mate staring you in the eye,and Boom! Nothing is ever the same again... chemistry you can reach out and feel....
I’ve come to almost hate the words “soul mate” soo over used in some romance books,all those are m line dating sites,sappy rom coms and Hallmark movies but I do believe moments like this can happen ...definitely not enough,I’m still waiting on mine but I believe they can... and Riley’s and Gunners was beautiful to me and to add some cream to the cake Gunner keeping Gia promise just made it oooooooo soo much sweeter...
But problem was after they seem to stop stumbling around
( which was rather painful to watch at times,made perfect between all their differences and both neither having been in. A relationship before it made sense) well most of it did ...
When we were at about 80% of the book and after all then waited thru just to be together etc. the constant doubts seemed a little silly and annoying ....
Having started with book 4 “Charlie”( Jake and Conall’s) story,I already knew their were going to be some problems and friction from Riley’s family etc.and that someone was get caught making trouble in the club,soo I came in knowing trouble was a brewing ...
Problem was with every chapter I read I was waiting for the other shoe to drop,my tension building and building making me rather tense after a while but nothing til about 80-85% of the book ,things finally happen but you know it’s going to be resolved quickly because the book is almost over...
And it was.... after all the build up it was all very anti climatic and after all the sex scenes I’d started to skip, I was almost ready for it to come to an end ....
Don’t get me wrong I adore Gunner and Riley,I still can see Riley on the ground crying at the car wash and looking up at Gunner and if has been a movie I’m sure it would have been a clip I’d found away to say and I’d still be watching it over and over and over again but their relationship just seemed to get stunted after a while and it just seemed one of them getting up set and needing sex, was gone a few hours , I . Need. Sex....
Gunner waited almost long enough to have a baby ( nine months ) to have sex with Riley but then once they did it was all that seemed to happen ... I’m not into clean books at all but after a while I was skipping the sex to get back to the story because frankly there was soo much I was bored by it ..
( now isi were Riley and had a like Gunner I would be here Reading a book or writing a review I’d be off having sex like a deprived/sometimes depraved bunny in heat,but while awesome for me to do, it much fun to read)...
I would have liked more,more of them starting their live together, Gunner startling a artists co-op w/ppl from the MC w/Riley’s help things like that...
Not sex sex and more sex leading to the climatic moments of the book ,only to almost have them end before really began...

I love Gunner
After reading adding about Gunner in the previous books I could not wait for his book. It was well worth the wait! I love the fact that Gunner had to wait for Riley to not be 'jailbait' and that he asked her Gram for permission before they got together. A wonderful addition to my MC collection.

I love the fact that Gunner waits for Riley, until she was eighteen to start a personal relationship. I have reread this book many, I just love the story line from beginning to end. Gunner has to work for his relationship with Riley , previous relationships he didn't care. I love that Gunner had a close relationship with Riley's grandma.

I really liked Gunner he really worked hard to be worthy of his Reily. This was a really well done older man/ younger woman story and done in such a way that it was not stereotypical as so many are. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Wow so hot

These books keep getting better and better. Finally Riley gets the attention and love she deserves. Gunner stepping up to be her man. Also loved Deb got what was coming to her. On to book 4 now.
