First of all this is just my experience with this book, yours might be different.
It took me long time to finish it due to many techniques that are given and I experimented with all of them. At first book and techniques seemed to me like wonderful thing.
Brett Bevell places reiki crystal inside your aura with which you can telepathically communicate and tell it what to do. It might sound crazy to someone, but it really works, you can actually feel energy when you tell your reiki crystal to do techniques from book. I also never believed that energy could be transferred through book and this book can actually do that and you can feel it. Yeah it sounds crazy, but it's something you'd have to experience it, but I'd still advise you not to.
Let's say that you have trouble with some organ and you use these reiki techniques on it to heal it - You tell reiki crystal to do technique that you choose - You actually feel energy in that area - Pain goes away.
So here's what's wrong with it. Pain goes away, but for a brief time. It comes back later, even if you continue to apply techniques for a longer period of time. And pain also comes back more frequently. It never actually heals you, just gets rid of pain for a short period of time and it will come back even harder and more frequent. SO DOES THIS ACTUALLY HEAL YOU OR JUST FEEDS ON YOUR PAIN?
But let's say you stop using your reiki crystal for a longer period of time and you endure phase of frequent pains and temptation for you to use reiki techniques - pain goes away and you didn't have problem with certain organ for months. But if you start again using it or opening book and feeling its energy, you'd get same pain in that place even after such long time
Also those reiki meditations where you can connect to "angels" or even Jesus, yeah you can feel some entity being around and later when you sleep you'd have nightmares.
This is more of vampirism in my experience than energy healing as title states and it's you getting fed on.
Lots of more stuff I could write, but I think it's enough. It was all wonderful at beginning, I'm glad I stopped using it.
