Rate this book
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.”
- Exodus 20:2
________________________________________________________________________

The story of Exodus is a story of salvation. It begins with God freeing the Israelites from oppression in Egypt after over 400 years in captivity, and it ends as He begins to establish them as a great nation. In the first part of See the Lord’s Salvation: A Lenten Study of Exodus, we’ll follow the Israelites’ road out of captivity, through the plagues in Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea to the foot of Mt. Sinai. In the second section, we will discover together what it means to worship a holy God according to the glory and beauty of His design, intricately laid out in the second half of Exodus. The third and final part of this study traces Holy Week from Palm Sunday through Jesus’ resurrection. Join us this Lenten season as we read through the book of Exodus and the Easter story, and see the Lord’s salvation.

The 8x10, perfect bound, 208-page, full-color Lent study book offers 49 days (7 weeks) of Scripture readings.

She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God's Word together every day. Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth invites women of all ages to engage Scripture through curated daily reading plans, as well as online conversation led by a vibrant community of contributing writers. This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God's Word is Truth. So we read. Every day we read a new passage together—working our way through books of the Bible, topics that matter, and seasons of the Church calendar. We engage with God's Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.

A fresh look at the book of Exodus, from the perspective of Lent and the Easter story. A good example of how the story of Jesus weaves a thread throughout the entirety of the Bible.

This was the first of the She Reads Truth studies I’ve ever tried as well as the first time learning about Lent. I thoroughly enjoyed the diagrams and history behind the story and that the assigned reading was mainly Bible instead of commentary.
