I haven’t hated a h as much as Abigail in a long time and my other complaint would be the grammar errors which were quite annoying. Abigail is a single mom to five year old Isabella and she’s also taking college classes. She gets no financial help from Isabella’s dad and she has a roommate so money is tight. She’s a maid for Anytime Maid Service and everyday she gets to clean Devon Townstead’s mansion. Sounds fun, right ? Not when you have to clean up used condoms and various women’s dirty lingerie every other day. She’s been cleaning his home for several weeks but she’s never met him personally. Devon is 32 years old, a real estate mogul and legendary playboy. He wasn’t always rich though, he lived in a crappy apartment in Brooklyn with three younger siblings growing up. He worked his ass off to start Townstead Enterprises and make it as successful as it is today. Devon comes home early one day and finds Abby in his bedroom changing his sheets. Catching her off guard she ends up giving him a piece of her mind about the state of his bedroom. Devon is not used to anyone telling him off and most women fall all over him but not Abby. Perhaps it’s her obvious dislike of him that makes her attractive but he wants her and he makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Abby was a stubborn cow and she really pissed me off, Devon went out of his way for her and Isabella and she acted like a twat most of the time.

This was a quick read with funny parts. I think I would have liked to see a bit more of the couple before the arrangement....a build up to it to get to know them and to see them interact. There were some editing errors in the ARC but it didn’t take away from my reading. I loved the epilogue!

I enjoyed this story of the playboy who makes a deal with his maid. Can she resist him for a month? The interaction between Devon and Abigail was fun to read and I so enjoyed the chemistry between them. Add in a cute five year and plenty of drama and I found it a story I really enjoyed.

2 1/2 stars...I really wanted to love this one. While it's not an original premise, there was a lot of potential. I actually liked Abigail. She's a single mom working to support her 5 year old daughter Isabella. She works for a maid service that cleans Devon Townstead's home/penthouse. When they finally meet, she ends up giving him a piece of her mind regarding the unmentionables and used condoms that she regularly has to take care of. He makes her an offer of a lifetime - one month living under his roof while he attempts to convince her that sex and love don't have to go hand in hand. We all know how it's going to end, so the joy is in the journey. Devon was a surprisingly nice guy, even a gentleman. Their dates were quite romantic even if not in the traditional sense. The interactions between Devon and Abigail are charming, funny and frustrating. His interactions with Isabelle are downright swoon worthy between a man and child.
The reason for my middle of the road rating? This book is in desperate need of proof reading and/or editing. There were excessive word and sentence structure errors as well as continuity issues that actually pulled me from the story so I wasn't able to enjoy the read. It's probable that this is the reason that I never felt the chemistry between the two. I would have also liked to see a little more actual conversation between them to bond them and solidify my feelings on the couple. The angst catalyst in this one was predictable and expected but done casually and for no real purpose other than the chase.
Bottom line, if this was the first book by Terry Towers that I read, I wouldn't pick up another one despite if being a nice story with good sexy times. I am optimistic and look forward to future reads though.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Abigail and Devon. Devon is use to doing what he wants when he wants and how he wants. So when he comes home early one day and finds his maid in a rage going off on him he knows that he will choose what will happen next. Little did he know who much one woman could change his life. Abigail is trying to just get her job done and get back to her daughter. However she has finally reached her breaking point. You know what they say you shouldn't make deals in anger well I may have just done something that will change all our lives?
This is an amazing book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There are ups and downs that I really want to tell you about but don't want to ruin the book for any other readers. I will say this book is smokin hot and you will need something cool near by or someone to quench this heat. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

That's exactly what Abigail Whitney thinks of her employer... And when she has the chance to come face to face with Devon that's exactly what she tells him. But instead of being insulted that the maid is telling him off, Devon is turned on and wants the feisty maid for more than her cleaning services.
So Deveon entices Abby to try living with him for a month... Can she make it through the month without falling in love with him, or will she prove him wrong that she wont fall for his charms.
I liked this book, it had promise, billionaire and maid premise is not new, so it needed a little something more to make it outstanding. All in all a decent book... though I did take issue to one part where he was wearing jeans, and when he went to get undressed he was taking off his tie... minor details though.

A sweet, funny romance and 5 year old Isabella was the icing on the cake.
This was a pretty quick read, and I thought it was well done. Devon and Abby had not been together long, but I still got the really strong sense of them developing a friendship. It wasn't an instalove situation. Terry Tower was able to convey stages in their short relationship so it didn't feel like it was short.
One thing that did surprise me was the hot tub scene. After all the things Abigail said at the beginning of the book, I kept waiting for her to bring it up again. She never even thought about it until Devon mentioned it.
I enjoyed the book. It made me smile and laugh a few times. I only wish we could have have seen Amy get what was coming to her after the stunt she pulled.

Abigail cleans Devon’s penthouse and Devon is a notorious playboy. She cringes every time she unearths thongs and bras in his bed, not to mention the condoms left everywhere. When he suddenly shows up one day while she is cleaning his bedroom, well, she decides to give him a piece of her mind. Devon has never experienced a woman that didn’t just drop at his feet so Abigail is this anomaly that captivates him. Since he is the kind of one-night stands, he believes he can seduce in 30 days but she believes in sex with feelings. When Abigail and her daughter, Isabella, move in with Devon for his challenge, well, will Devon end up with more than he bargained for. I love Abigail’s strength and unwillingness to just give in to Devon. Isabella is a beautiful scene stealer and truly keeps Devon on his toes. Altogether, allowing me to enjoy this fun and sexy romance.

I loved this story of billionaire Devon and his feisty maid, Abigail. Abby is tired of cleaning up after Devon's sexcapades-used condoms & ladies' undies everywhere. She berates him, and he offers a challenge: half a million to live with him for a month to prove sex and love don't have to go hand in hand. And if she holds out for a month, she gets another half a million. Oh, so many things a single mom can do with that kind of money! The bet is on, and by the end, there will be no losers. Devon sounds like a bored, soulless guy but there is a richness to him that isn't often revealed. Abby is a good woman & mother, doing the best she can for the people in her life. An engrossing read by Ms Towers, with fabulous characters and a bit of suspense thrown into this perfectly told romance.

This was a fun read Abigail is a single mom who works at a maid service to advance in life. One day while cleaning in Devon Twonsend penthouse she encounters the player and he makes her an offer she can’t refuse. She has to live with for one month. What could go wrong? She moves in with her daughter Isabella and all their lives are turned upside down. Can the playboy make family life work?Aby is sassy, smart and sexy, Devon is smart, sexy and a player. Can they have an HEA? Or will somebody from Devon’s entourage try to destroy what he is about to comit to? A great story, with just enough drama to make it a page turner.

He wasn’t anything but a big near playboy. She was tired of picking up used condoms underwear that was left by all of his model girlfriends and when he came home one day early she just told him flat out how she felt. When he finally turned and looked at her and started talking to her and came up with the deal. Live with him for one month and if she didn’t love him should get almost $1 million. 500,000 upfront and the other at the end if she didn’t love him. The book was cute it was funny I enjoyed it

I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was a unique romance book. Abigail is twenty-five with a five year old daughter. She works as a maid for Devon. She is hard working, a what you see is what you get kind of woman. She gives Devon a piece of her mind about his lifestyle. He was amused that she had no fear of him and was a spirited person. So he made her a proposition. But it backfired on both of them. A very good read

This was a great book with a lesson on how easily the tables can turn when you play the game of love. Devon is a very messy billionaire who makes a bet with Abigail to not fall in love with him. At the end of the month she could walk away with a cool million for her and her daughter but fate has her own plans. It was great reading the story of how the tried to fight fate.

This is a well written book about secrets and desires. It is a suspenceful romance that pulled me in from the first page and didn't let me go until the end. It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers.

The story itself wasn't bad even though it was predictable. I did enjoy Devon's relationship with Abby's daughter Isabella. Had a little problem with the editing, it needed work.

This was a cocky sexy billionaire who beds and sheds the women every other night. The maid calls him on it and he challenges her to 30 days with him and he can get her to fall in love with him. Well, he had no idea he would be the one doing the falling in line and love for so many reasons.

A sensitive funny read. Abigail, a lovely feisty lady determined not to fall for her boss, Devon. He kept pushing her buttons until she couldn't resist any longer. Isabella, Abigail's cute daughter added her share of matchmaking along the way. Some hot scenes too. Read an ARC for an honest review.

Abigail and Devon are perfect together. Devon is a playboy having a different woman in his bed every night. Abby is the woman who cleans up after him. Until the day she gets fed up. Her mouth gets her noticed by him in a big way. The deal they make is not a new one but with her trying hard not to loose it makes for a very interesting read that kept me turning pages into the night.
